Chapter 9 - A girl as delicate as Violet

He never thought a girl who seems as delicate as violet, can hurt someone.

"She's scared, regretting….for hurting him..," he taught as her emotions were as clear as crystal.

The sirens of the ambulance started fading as they both ran back away from the old castle.

"Beep," a car horn honks as soon as they both cross the bridge leading to the first house of the town.

Winter shifted her head away covering her eyes with her arm, as the headlight of the car made it impossible to look ahead.

A SUV's tires squeal, as the car approaches them.

"Winter," Daniel called her as came out of his car.

"You okay, why th-there is so much blood on you," Daniel stammered, holding her cheeks between his palms.

"Uh..I'm fine….," she mumbled.

"She was excited to see him," Eleazar read, her emotions.

"God I was calling you, do you have any idea how scared I was," Daniel said, wrapping her tightly in a hug.

Eleazar scoff, gazing at the road.

Daniel shifted his red eyes at him and heard him laugh and stretched his lips in smirk.

"Let's go to the hospital," Daniel continued shifting away, and led her to his car.

"I'll be back," he said, with a bright smile and closed the car's window after.

"And you stay away from her," Daniel said, meeting Eleazar's gaze.

"This kid is getting on my nerves," Eleazar replied, with a partially opened lipped smile.

"Mate! Eleazar the god of death thinks hard we've met before," Daniel replied, as pened his lips in a smile.

"This is my town, since the day you left it centuries back don't instigate me," Daniel replied, leaving.

"Who're you?" Eleazar asked, after him.

Daniel left without replying.

"I don't want to do this," Eleazar said, with a sigh.

And lifted his hand in the air, and curled his finger towards him, a stick followed his hand's movement and staked Daniel's back.

He groaned heavily holding around his stomach.

"Don't you dare to glare at me again, got that," Eleazar continued, whispering in his ear.

"It'll take you hours to die this way, it'll be fun…., see you at the school."

Eleazar left towards the car.

"Let's get you treated….," Eleazar said, opening the door of the car.

"Why you're here?" Winter asked, narrowing his gaze at him.

"Don't ask questions?" Eleazar ordered, looking directly in her eyes.

"What're you doing, where is Dan?" she asked, again.

"It doesn't work on you," Eleazar thought, with a slight chuckle.

"Nothing he left to see Jack," Eleazar replied, as he pressed the accelerator.

They didn't even talk about anything until they reached the hospital.

"What happened?" a nurse asked, running to them in a hurry as she saw Winter all drowned in the blood.

"She fell from the stairs, don't ask anything," he ordered, meeting the nurse's eyes.

"I'll call the doctor...come with me," she said, leading her to the Emergency department.

Eleazar moved back towards his car as he saw a doctor was finally attending her.

******

He kept sweating and groaning as every thread was feeling in his hand, until the doctor kept treating her.

Eleazar opened his eyes as he overheard a knock on his car's window.

"You're already here," Eleazar mumbled, as he slides down the glass of his window.

"You okay…," Winter asked, gazing at his pale face.

"Yes I'm fine…," he continued, with a vague smile.

"Come I'll drop you home."

"Eleazar, I won't tell anyone about you, but please don't involve me in your life," Winter continued, with a sigh.

"Please let me go now."

"I'll just leave you home… nothing else," Eleazar replied, pretending he's no danger for her.
