"Bloodlines?" Dane thought. He looked at his mother questioningly as if implying to go on.
His mother quickly spoke," yes bloodlines, you see not all barbarians are like our clan, there are different bloodlines, that contain hidden abilities that can be unlocked through cultivation. Take our clans bloodline for example, our silver moon bloodline, allows our clan to manipulate yin, Ice, and moon/Lunar Ki. It was a blessing from the moon goddess herself to our Clan, for its devoted servitude [BGF] Before the Great Fall.
But there is another bloodline that was passed on from me to you. It was the blood of an unknown True Ascended, passed on from my father who assimilated it during his exploration of a ruin.
Which is why it would be unsafe to allow anyone other than another carrier of the bloodline to help with this process"
Dane nodded in understanding, and though he didn't say it, he had a feeling that this bloodline and the green mystic fluid he fell in before he died, had a connection.
Kami continued to speak about bloodlines " the abilities that I've discovered from our second bloodline so far are Named [True Sight], which is the ability to see through all illusions and lies. It also changes the way you view things and enhances your thinking process."
Danes eyes widened at the discovery of his mother in shock, but the best part was yet to come as she began to speak again," but sadly, my compatibility with this bloodline is not that high, and so I'm not even 1/100 into the true use of the bloodlines power." She said with a disappointment sigh.
But she quickly brightened again as she looked into her sons eyes and spoke with pride and excitement " but you are not as unlucky as me! Your compatibility with the bloodline was higher then both my late father and me!" She said as she scanned his beautiful Silver/Gold eyes and how the colors swirled with a mysterious yet mesmerizing glow.
After understanding his bloodline potential, Dane nodded as he was ready to begin.
Kami them placed the palm of her hands on his back and began to circulate her Ki, soon a white glow emitted from her body as she focused her Ki into a singular point. As the Ki thinned into a strand of Ki that had a white shine with a tint of bright gold, she began to control the Ki as she moved into Danes first Ki chakra point. The first point they were going to open was the chakra point located in Danes solar plexus.
As her Ki entered his body, it began to near his chakra point, and if one were to see inside his body, they would see a sphere shaped node that was incased by a bone line layer which was blocking the Ki point.
Her Ki soon reached the Point and began to pierce its way through the incasement slowly, as to avoid hurting and giving as much pain to Dane as possible. And though she was trying to minimize the pain, Dane still had to grunt and clench his teeth as he felt the layer being pierced and opened up.
Once her Ki entered the point, it began to circulate inside and beat the shell Incasing the Chakra point till it was completely uncovered, the pieces of casing that fell from the point disintegrated in his body and began to excrete from his skin pores in a powdered smoke.
The residue on his skin left a foul odor which he would have to clean later. As soon as Danes point was opened, he was able to feel the Ki in the atmosphere. As he felt it, his chakra point began to suck in Ki like a large vacuum, and once it stopped, that marked the completion of his first opening.
Dane sat in a daze as he felt and mingled with the Ki in his body, it was a truly wonderful feeling, it felt addictive to the point where he soon developed a kind of obsession to studying Ki.
He was brought out of his daze to his mother's next words," Dane from now on, you will have to do the rest of your openings on your own, but once you enter the next Level, I'll help you once again."
As she said this, Dane got curious and asked" Mother What is your Current cultivation?"
To which she replied " I am currently at [Ki Link 8 level] or what we call [Ki Saint Level].
Danes eyes widened again because, if what was said is true, his mother was nearing her True Ascension! He quickly ask his mother " are there higher stages after you reach True Ascension Mother"
She replied with a nod and a look of longing as she thought of what she could reach in the future. The tattoos Under her skin that were usually only visible when she activated her cultivation pulsed in anticipation. Dane who saw this strange pulse, couldn't help but be in awe at the artistic structure of the Tattoos and how the depicted a moon Rising over a horizon of what seemed to be a frozen wonderland.
That brief glimpse, told him of the potential the SilverMoon bloodline and cultivation had.
