Theon was civil it seems, but Vera wouldn't let that fool her. She eyed him like a racken, much like a hawk but from where she comes from it was a beast of the sky, smiting everything in its path. To much of Vera's demise, her Lumos Siren preferred to stay two-faced with the Wolvernrians instead of causing conflict. Vera decided she was right.
A tight smile spreads across Vera's lips in her 'attempt' to be civil as well. "Ah, you're who she replaced my father with," she comments nonchalantly, as if the situation has never bothered her. The curve of her lips show otherwise.
The atmosphere grew tense as Marzena and Theon widen their eyes at her outspoken words. Kaius's jaw drops unconsciously before he picks it back up again to watch the science unfold. Alpha Mirran slightly jerks his head back, uncertain of how to proceed with the discussion. Beta Nøvak Pontall is the one to crack a smirk from the outcome, and he glances away to professionally situate himself. Elsa and Eira are too busy playing with one another's hair behind Vera as Atlas and Adare race one another from a nearby tree to the next.
Theon swallows, and Vera notices his eyes darken at the mention of her father. It was a reaction she was hoping for, earning a smirk from the inside. Before Vera can harp on the subject again, the darkness in his eyes fade and Theon smiles instead.
"Tat was ah time befur Marzena an I met." He calmly replies.
Vera scowls to herself silently before she nods, feigning understanding. Alpha Mirran decides to speak up in the silence. "Let's head back to the pack an we can get yuh five se'led en fur sum res." He suggests softly.
Vera gazes to her merlings, finding Elsa dozing off as Eira braids her hair. Eira yawns as her sister nuzzles into her stomach, and finished the long braid. She wraps seaweed around the end of Elsa's golden chocolate locks. Vera's attention is directed to the boys at the sound of a sudden scream. Adare hold his leg in pain and wet tears leak down his cheeks. He cries for his moona and the sound tears Vera up inside. Her heart beats in her ears as he sobs for her.
Instantly, she holds the boy on her lap, sitting in the dirt. Vera holds his legs gently, applying a little pressure as slow as she possibly can. He grimaces in pain once she's touched the spot. A frown coats her lips before she enclosed the area in a tight squeeze. Adare screams in pain while Atlas holds his hand, fear whipped across his visage. Vera focuses on healing her child, even as he screams don whimpers from the pain she inflicts. She mumbles words of a song underneath her breath before letting go of Adare's calf and wipes his tears away. Adare sniffles and hides in her necks to force everyone away. Atlas's crestfallen features rouse Vera's suspicion.
The group of Wolvernrians only stare in amazement from Vera's healing hands. No one had seen anything like her before, except for the Wickens. They were magical beings provided with many talents including telepathy, telekinesis, invisibility, and of course healing from the Great Goddesses. Her power was astonishing to watch, especially up close.
Alpha Mirran stares after her, hypnotized by her strength. She had to be more than what she looked, and if she looked beautiful she must be full of wit. He had never seen anyone heal in person, not even a Wicken. He had battled with one before, but this side was never showcase during the fight.
Theon and Kaius gaze at the female in unfathomable amazement because of her ruthless attitude towards Theon. If she was able to have such an act of kindness in her heart, then why is she persistent against knowing them. Vera never asked Kaius questions about their mother or their pack, but how could she when she wouldn't receive a response in the first place?
Beta Nøvak Pontall had turned away, allowing the mother and child to have a moment.
Marzena, however, recognizes the song Vera sings to Adare. She wants to join in, to help aid her dak, but fear paralyzed her from doing anything further. She can only stare as Vera tends to her child with immense emotions coursing through her veins. Marzena had hoped Adare was well now that Vera had healed him, however she did it. Marzena could only be thankful.
"Atlas," Vera switches her gaze to the older brother. His bright eyes pale from the sight of his moona. "What happened?"
Atlas fiddles with the seaweed tied around him and looks at the ground. He didn't know what to say except that it was his fault. He couldn't help himself. "I—I.. I didn't mean ta!" Atlas blurts out. Tears begin to swell in his eyes as the little boy confesses to what he's done. "He woodn't let meh win, not once, an I got so mad.." Atlas whispers the last part, shamefully staring at the dirt.
Vera observes his tears, smiling sadly after he admits the truth. "It's okay, mei gen. Enforce your anger when needed, alright, rave?" She amends his sin without a hesitation. Atlas wipes away his unshed tears before nodding at her with a new lesson established and yet to be learned. When his moona opens her arms for him to gather in, he immediately snuggles into her side. Vera comforts the two boys, sliding her hands between their darkened locks.
It seems Vera has more than the replacement of her father to worry about.
