ROLLING THE BALL

She wasn't able to keep time as the five mers ride on Kaius's back while the moons still hung in the cerulean sky. Vera's face is full of his coarse, thick fur. Her hands were covered with his tousled gray locks, and she firmly grips their roots. There had been many times where she almost dropped Eira or Elsa and a few moments when Atlas or Adare almost slipped, but other than the incidents, there was nothing else to fear.. except, maybe, the bright emeralds following close behind. Vera had noticed them the moment they left the cave. Marzena was nowhere to be found, but Vera knew she was safe; Kaius was relaxed and calm, yet alert. His ears perk at every sound as they race through the overgrown garden of trees. The forest was dense, just as the cave had been. Vera knew this sudden feeling and associates it with the MeClans.

Vera shivers unsteadily. She buries her face in Kaius's fur from the harsh wind. It's silent in the forest, besides the thudding of paws on the dirt, but they're not alone. Vera could sense this cold chill on her shoulder, and she knew it wasn't from the wind. Minutes flew by and she still had a weight weighing her down, constantly raising goosebumps along her arms. Her acrylic emeralds peak out from behind a dark curtain, and they connect with another pair. Only these eyes are crystal blue with sharp teeth. Vera only realizes the eyes are connected to another beast the same size as the one she rides when Kaius slows his pace. Vera's eyes nearly fall out of their sockets at the sight of another Wolvernrian. Her heart beat quickens and she finds herself latching into the quad and her Wolvernrian brother in fear. This fear dives over her in a haste, capturing her heart in its hands and squeezing tight. She knew the cold chill rising on the back of her neck was trepidation, and a plethora of it.

Vera had no idea if she could trust the one who bore her or her offspring, but she knew she couldn't leave them without a chance. She owes her father that much. Vera wraps her arms around her children protectively and observes the scene before her. The rustic furred beast sits on his hind legs, waiting for them to travel near. Vera pulls her walls up, attempting to shield her children from any harm. They cling to her arms, nuzzling into her skin. The boys made sure to bare their teeth, daring the beast to strike while their sisters hid behind their mother in freight.

The beast is intrigued by the male pups' protective display of the adult female. They seemed to show no fear or doubt in their features and bare their teeth with no remorse, only a simple promise. He examines the situation on Kaius's back, accepting of the four pups without a plea to be made. The beast stood proud as Kaius drew near, and let out a wolfish grin when his eyes connect with the female once more. He holds her gaze, not expecting the female to challenge his authority so quickly. His eyes darken from their exchange, and the Wolvernrian calms himself before he causes a battle.

He heaves an aggressive sigh, She does not know ev ar titles, nor does she know 'er place. Afterwards.. possibly. The actual beast inside snarls from erotic want, gnarling for a taste of her luscious, moonlit skin and those two succulent lips he needs to call his name. The azure eyed creature nods firmly and smirks to himself, satisfied with his decision. Quite possible...

Vera sizes the rustic colored creature, pondering his muscularity and the force of his weight. If she was correct, with the force of gravity and his body, Vera could easily cause the beast to fly over her figure and dislocate a bone or two. It was nothing really, just a little trick Dariol had taught her when she first began hunting. The strategy had been more than enough to take down the barkern, a giant jellyfish-like creature with jagged talon hooks at the end of each tentacle and out for blood. Vera knew from the moment she spotted the pitch black beast next to the red creature. She could leave each one on their back without much movement. Her defense mechanism was kicked on and she stayed on high alert the entire time.

It was only when Kaius pauses, lowing his body to the earth, Vera dares to step off her brother's back. Adare slides down with Atlas following suit. Each one stood on either side of Vera, threatening anyone who dares to look in their direction. Adare held tight to his mother's bottom clothing. He scurried close to her, keeping his eyes on the forest and the beasts. Atlas, on the other hand, observes the three other creatures that had suddenly showed up. He bares his fangs fiercely before stepping in front of Vera completely. Eira curiously looks in front of her, trying to comprehend the creatures before her. Her eyes widen at the sight of another massive unknown creature as her sister scurries behind their mother. Elsa cowers, tightly gripping Vera's left leg.

The siren stands tall, inspecting the creatures coming from the green lush. All the beasts stood on four legs, trekking out of the forest without much effort. Another obsidian beast settles himself on his rump. The three creatures stare intently at Kaius, as if they were speaking. Vera dares to glance from each of their eyes and find stars dancing around. It was quite strange to Vera, as the only stars she saw were the ones in the sky and the prints on Elsa's cheeks. Her hands comfort Atlas as he begins to snarl. Without a moment to waste, the rustic creature suddenly changes forms before their eyes. A body of a man appears in the dark, no taller than the beast itself. Vera notes the cracking of bones, and the piercing whimper from beneath her. Her free hand immediately darts behind her backside, grasping Elsa's hand. Elsa quivers from the presence of the creatures, disregarding everything and everyone but her moona.

Vera directs her attention back to the man similar to her. Red, unruly hair covers the top of his scalp, falling into his bright eyes. Vera notices the gentle smile on his face and the bright baby blues glowing in the dark. A sharp jawline creates the masculinity in his facial features. Vera's eyes trail down his buff chest, spotting markings and scars. The markings were beautiful, but the scars are what caught her attention. A long, thick marking glides parallel to the curved scar. Starting from his left peck, the scar slightly curves down until it shyly ends just below his navel. Vera found the scar pleasant, mostly because she had a few herself, but the fact this Wolvernrian seems to be a fighter, a warrior even, she gave a gentle, knowing smile to the scar. Her eyes slowly leave the indentation, and she curiously tilts her head at the appendage hanging between his legs. It's quite long, and seems to not be alone. The appendage dangles between the redhead's legs and didn't bother him one bit when he walks. Vera was confused; why didn't she have one?

The Wolvernrian was genuinely astonished at how the alien female gave his body a firm look over without a smirk or a gleam in her eyes. The male was shocked at the sudden observation, setting him on an examination table instead of a bed. His body went ridged when her stunning dark orbs linger in his lower region. The beast inside puffs his chest and howls, very appreciative from the newcomers gaze. She seemed to like what she was looking at and that gave the male enough pride to fuel his self ego. He, himself, couldn't help but observe her features as well. He noticed the three tiny marking below her eyes as teardrops. They looked as if she were crying, but her luminous green eyes say otherwise. He was definitely intrigued by her markings, and frowned when she continues to stare at his legs.
