When Aubrey woke up, her eyes were blurry and focused on the white ceiling. She blinked five times to adjust her eyes.
She frowned and tried to stretch out her arms but couldn't move it like a paralyzed person. She felt pain in her whole body and only her eyes could move. Her gaze swept around the room and realized that she's inside an unfamiliar room.
"Hospital?" when her gaze landed on the flat-screened TV, fruits on the table, mini-cabinet, air-conditioner and shower room. Everything is painted white.
She tried to speak to alert the people outside her room but an oxygen mask is on her face. She sighed and still tried to move her limbs many times.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
She wanted to speak but she couldn't. The door slowly opened and a white cloaked man appeared in front of her.
The white cloaked man wore a surgical mask and glove but there's a syringe on his left hand. Inside the syringe is a red liquid she doesn't recognize.
"Aubrey Reinhold... I never thought that you would be her incarnation" the white cloaked man said while laughing devilishly but Aubrey doesn't showed fear.
Aubrey doesn't really feel fear in front of this stranger but she knows his evil intention. However, what puzzeled her the most is his words.
"Incarnation?" she thought.
"Aubrey doesn't need to feel scared. I wouldn't let you die immediately but slowly. Did you know this red liquid? It is my new invention that will cause a patient's body to slowly rot and your ending is to die miserably" he explained and felt pleased on himself while imagining Aubrey's helpless screamed.
He walked slowly towards Aubrey's bedside. He was about to inject the syringe on her body but Aubrey quickly move.
Aubrey hardly gripped on the man's fingers that hold the syringe and broke it. He screamed as the syringe fell on the ground and struggled while holding his broken fingers. His face distorted because of extreme anger.
"You're courting DEATH!" he exclaimed. He looked for a hard object to smack Aubrey but Aubrey quickly move to get the syringe and inject on his stomach.
"You...!" He was shocked of Aubrey's agile moves and couldn't easily dodge her attack. The syringe was deeply injected on his stomach.
Aubrey released her hands and patted her clothes. "I don't know what you're talking about incarnation. Even if I know, I don't care. I am Aubrey Reinhold, the one and only Aubrey Reinhold of the past, present and future" she said while crossed her arms on her chest with a smug look.
The white cloaked man looked at her with resentment while clutching on his stomach.
Suddenly, Aubrey felt warmth inside her body. She was shocked of this sudden energy entering her core meridian.
"Aubrey Reinhold!!!" the man shouted and his right hand found a hard steel. He tightly hold it and was about to smash it towards Aubrey but Aubrey caught it.
The white cloaked man was stronger than normal human but Aubrey could withstand his overpowered strength.
"How... How could a seven years old like you could withstand my overpowered strength?!" he asked with fear on his face.
'Is... Is this the power of her incarnation? But... the investigation showed that she's unlike them" he thought while trying to give more pressure on the hard steel but Aubrey showed no weakness at all.
"Impossible!" he exclaimed.
Aubrey raised her right brow while staring at him. "Who ordered you?" she asked.
"No one!" he lied but Aubrey knocked down the hard steel and gripped his neck.
"No one? Do you think I am easy to be bullied by outsiders?!" she shouted. It was fine for her to be mocked by Sue Mansion but she would never to be mocked by outsiders or strangers.
The man was struggling because of how hard her grip was while trying to break free but failed to do so.
"Anyway, I will know soon" she said and broke his neck. Her fingers were printed on his neck. She looked for a rag and soaked it with water. Then, she slowly cleaned the man's neck to erase her fingerprint.
However, she suddenly felt dizzy and slowly stood up. She pressed the emergency button on the table. It was a button for emergency calls if ever a danger happened.
After five minutes, doctors and nurses arrived. When they opened the door, a lifeless body appeared on their sight. They were shocked but no one screamed because they were used to seeing corpses.
The sleeping Aubrey was on the bed like she was not awake earlier but still sleeping.
"Call the police!" Dr. Dennis ordered. A nurse ran outside to call the security and the security called the police.
"Check the surveillance camera!" Peter Conrad shouted. He is the Chief of Police. When he heard that there was a lifeless body inside the room of Aubrey, he personally checked. As soon as he appeared outside the room, he ordered to check the surveillance camera in order to see what happened.
When Cedric heard it, he called the Sue Mansion and Reinhold Mansion. He didn't wait for them to go to the hospital but arrived by himself.
"Uncle!" Cedric called out to Chief Peter and entered the room. The room was in a messed.
"Fortunately, I secretly installed a mini-camera. It is for emergency purposes like today" he said while Cody smiling and walked towards the flat-screened TV. He picked up a mini-camera that is almost invisible to the eyes but if you look for it carefully, you could find it.
"Check it" Cedric said as he hand over the mini-camera to Chief Peter. He waved his hand to his men and one police got the mini-camera. He connected the mini-camera to the laptop he brought with him. The video showed of what happened earlier.
They were shocked of Aubrey's reaction speed despite her petite body.
"We will investigate this!" Chief Peter said angrily while his eyes landed on exhausted face of Aubrey.
"She was weak while beating up the man. She needs rest" Dr. Dennis also saw the content of the video and concluded the reason why Aubrey fell sleep again.
