Touching her tears, Luna shivered, "Am I am turning insane now?"
Her mind shook with crazy thoughts, chaotic enough for her to feel dizzy.
"Is it, is it Grace?" She trembled, trying to guess the real criminal behind this.
"I I I need to call manager Lim, this this is a trap!" Wiping away her tears, she took the telephone from the nightstand with her trembling hands. Pressing the numbers, her lips quivered in fear, fear of losing her career, her hard-earned fans as Lim didn't pick up her phone
"Quack Quack Quack!"
She blinked at the sound.
"Quack Quack!"
And the sound started grooming in a closer range so Luna peeked in towards the bathroom.
"Quack Quack Quack!"
"Ahhhhh" Luna stumbled back falling to the floor. Looking at the rubber duck running towards her, she screamed withering back at the horror happening around her.
The rubber duck stopped midway and removed the orange swim tube from its waist. Throwing it away, it looked at Luna who was now paler than a ghost.
The duckling transformed into a human in the split of a second, crumbling all her sanity.
What was happening to her?
"Sorry to scare you." The guy smiled moving forward and Luna inched back in fear, her tears raining down in terror.
"I won't harm you, here get up!" The guy reassured, taking out his hand but Luna just moved back, supporting her shivering body with her hands.
Taking a deep breath, he looked at her and squatted down.
"Look, if you don't cooperate, things might get scary! So, just trust me. I will help you to get out of this situation!"
His words confused her but deep down they filled her with a small hope, so sniffing harder, Luna scanned him this time her eyes a little calm.
Smiling, he took out his hand again and she hesitantly held it, holding it firmly, he helped her to sit on the couch beside her.
Looking around, he walked towards the dining table and filled a glass of water. Walking back, he passed the glass which Luna denied drinking.
"Wh What if it is jinxed with some spell?"
Laughing at her reaction, Kaden placed the glass on the table in the front and waited for her to calm down.
A minute passed and Luna finally stopped staring at him, scrunching her brows, she asked, "Did Grace send you? I knew she was a witch from the start!"
Amused by her stupid theory, Kaden took out his phone and worked on something.
"Do you work under her? Her disciple? Did you do drug me?"
Kaden just smiled surprising her even more. He was charming and she couldn't deny it.
"Fools like you are harder to handle these days." He muttered under his breath and that made Luna roll her eyes.
"Okay," Taking a step back, Kaden continued, "Since you have calmed down, let me do my job!"
"You have been transmigrated into a new body. Name- Hazel Brown, Race-Human."
"Since your life has been full of hardships and sufferings, yet you had a pitiful death without enjoying the success you worked hard for, the heavens have blessed you with a system which will help you to achieve the element you choose."
Taking out a tablet from nowhere, Kaden opened a profile and showed her, "You will have to upgrade your system to a particular course of action. Since you were a human in the past as well as this life, you have two routes,"
Sliding to another page, he continued, "You will need to choose between the Happy Life and A Revenge War. If it's later, your memories from the past will remain intact and you will have no clues about your present life ie about Hazel Brown, you currently are."
"And vice versa in case of a happy life! Your memories as Luna will fade away!'
Luna aka Hazel sat there dumbstruck, her eyes almost out of her sockets looking at the swirling screen with every single detail about her.
"Does Does that mean," Pointing at her profile on the screen, Luna asked, "I am dead and in the process of rebirth?"
Shaking his head, Kaden explained, "During the process of death, your wish to live was so strong that a quick transmigration took place!"
Looking at her clueless reaction, Kaden sighed and cleared, "In simple words, your soul got switched with the soul which strongly desired to die, cutting down the work of a Grim Reaper!"
As she scratched her head in confusion, Kaden sighed and asked, "You never the fictions, have you?"
Without giving her a chance to continue, he demanded, "Whatever, please make a choice sooner. I need to leave!"
Taking out his pocket watch which did seem familiar, but Luna couldn't identify that antique piece, he looked at it as a red beep on it started. alerting him to come back soon.
"Haha, this is all a prank. Isn't it?" Luna blurted out her face full of hope. Everything was just too much to contemplate and harsher to calculate her future in just that span of time.
"Wait! It's a script, right?." She exclaimed clapping her hands, "Do you want me to act in it?" Luna babbled again and he stared at her, blankly with a no written all over his face.
Taking a deep breath, Kaden looked at her and asked, "Just close your eyes and demand stats in your head!"
When she blinked in confusion, he closed her eyes with his hand and ordered, "Say stats."
Luna followed his command and something chirred in her head.
Sweat ran down her face, her spine hit with a chill as she recalled the same voice that accompanied her till here. Her hand instantly touched her back started tingling her and had a mark she couldn't see, proof of being tagged with a system.
"If the things are clear, please choose your path." Kaden requested bringing her back to reality.
She looked at him and then at the tab, her mind fumbling between the two choices.
It was hard to forget all her memories as Luna but it was important to have memories of Hazel, her new body mate for her to survive with that new face.
The two routes were of equal significance and choosing one was not an easy task! And she was confused to the core!
