Three months I Ihad gone by. Armand's grandchildren were going back home to their grandfather, it had been a rough two months for them. Running a business was not as easy as the thought it would be. There was a lot of paperwork and a lot of thinking was needed, they had to sacrifice their time just to make sure that everything was going well. They decided to land on the same airport so that the can drive to the mansion together. Just as they were about to reach the mansion Anastasia's phone rang. And the call was from the mansion. "Hello." she answered.
"you have to..... g-get here now, the...the..... old m-master is bleeding heavily. I think he's been sh-shot." one of the maids cried. Anastasia was shocked, she didn't know what to say or what to do. It felt like she's been stabbed multiple times. She thought that she was having a nightmare and thought that maybe someone will come and wake her up." hello, hello.... Madam can you hear me." the maid kept asking. Everyone were looking at Anastasia they did not know what was happening and why she was looking like she had seen some kind of ghost. She fell down from her seat still trying to process what had happened. They were still 20 minutes away from the mansion. She wanted to cry but she could not. Her heart was beating so fast she could almost hear it echo in the car they were in.
"Anna what's wrong?" Matteo asked worriedly. But she did not answer she just sat there not knowing what to do. " Anna please answer me, what's wrong. Who called you." He kept on asking but she was still not answering.
"just let her be, I bet she just wants attention." Barbara said while chewing her bubblegum.
"if you don't have anything good to say then shut the hell up." Brandolin said sounding annoyed.
"He... He.... He's been shot, our grandfather has been shot." she finally managed to say it. Nobody said a thing. They were all shocked, sad, terrified and every other emotion you could think of. It felt like time just stopped and there was nothing but them in this world, they were now ony five minutes away from the mansion but to them it felt like five centuries. Even Barbara was quiet. They finally reached the mansion. They all rushed out of the car. There were about four police cars, an ambulance and a bunch of reporters. There were so many people standing outside the gate wanting to see what was happening. Nobody ever imagined that something like this would happen, well Armand was bound to die one day but not like this. They didn't expect anything like this, first it was their grandmother and now it's their grandfather.
They saw Armand's body that was covered with a white sheet. One of the investigators came up to them with his head down. "why is my grandfather's bodi covered, please don't tell me he....." Matteo said not being able to finish his sentence because he started crying.
"I'm sorry Mr Johnson but your grandfather is no more." One of the investigators said whose name was Bratt. No words could describe how they were feeling now. It felt like the whole world had come to an end. Their own grandfather was shot and he died. This was uncalled for. They didn't have any idea who would have done this and for what reason.
Today was Armand's funeral, and it was the most depressing day of their lives. They didn't think that they would be burying their grandfather today, they knew he was going to die someday but not like this they wanted him to die a natural death. It was still hard for them to accept the fact that the old man had been shot by someone. The police said that they would interrogate all of them one by one after the funeral. They were all in expressive during the funeral even though it was not the first funeral they had to attend. But this was different they were not just burying anyone, they were burying the man that took care of them, the man that made sure that they had everything they ever wanted, the man that loved them dearly even if the would throw unnecessary tantrums. They could vividly hear each other continuously letting out cries from their respective seats. All the family members were all sitting in the front row, their close friends were sitting on the second row and the other guests were sitting on the other rows. Armand's funeral was held in one of their biggest stadiums. The whole stadium was filled with people since Armand had a lot of "friends", business partners and his employees were also there. His coffin was made of gold and diamonds probably the most expensive coffin in the whole world. There were different kinds of flowers ontop of his coffin. The decoration was extravagant, it was worth millions of dollars. Those who didn't know about the Johnson family thought that they were burying a king or a president.
The funeral went well as expected. They were now waiting in the living room for their lawyer to read Armand's will. Non of them new what was on the will or what they were getting out of all the things that Armand owned. The lawyer finally arrived he was Thomas Thompson. He was a bit tall with a long beard, long grey hair. He had been the family's lawyer for over 20 years, he had been faithful and he never disappointed them, he was also a close friend of Armand's. He knew Armand inside out, nobody understood Armand like he did. "Good evening everyone." he said sitting down on one of the leather couches. He opened his briefcase and he took out a document and everyone could tell that it was Armand's will. "the will reads as follows. I Armand Ignacio Johnson decided that All my mansions an villas will be under mychildren's names, they will all get an equal share and rights to each of them. 75% ofy share from the company will go to my grandson Matteo José Johnson and the other 25 percent will go to Anastasia. All my assets will go to all my grandchildren including the money from my life insurance. " Thomas put the document back in his briefcase. Nobody said a word because they were all stunned they did not know what to say. All the companies' shares were handed over to Anastasia and Matteo. The others didn't get even 1% of the shares of the company. This going to do nothing but create chaos in the family.
