Raven felt his head throb with pain; All he could remember was one minute he was in Kara's room and the next minute he was engulf by a darkness he felt too weak to resist.
He could hear the echo of Kara's voice.
"Raven, what's wrong. Wake up." Kara's voice echoes. Those were probably the last words he heard before he passed out.
Raven tries to get up, but he couldn't see anything. Even his angelic vision wasn't working for him. He felt being engulf by dark, moist smoky cloud.
From beneath the smoky cloud, Raven could hear his name. Being called in a whisper; "Raven you belong to us!". Each time the voice called out, skeletal ghost hands emerges to pull him down, but each time they try to pull him down, the hands pass through him.
Raven seem to be choked by the dark midst; days, weeks, months and years he stayed there, being choked by the dark force trying to pull life out of him. He hurts badly.
Raven closed his eyes tightly; was he going to continue like this, he felt life being drained from every atom of his body, his muscles expanding and contracting at the same time. He knew he wasn't going to die any sooner, angels don't die easily, and this was a lot worst than dead.
He felt a cold shivering wind blew relieving him from his pains and anguish; he opens his eyes to see the dark cloud still heavy as if it was going to rain.
He got up sluggishly feeling exhausted; he has been going through hell the last 2 centuries. He found himself in a garden with lots if beautiful flowers, and trees. The air seem cool and refreshing; For the dark cloud still hovering the garden, he would have forgotten the dark midst, cloud and the situation worst than death he had to go through for so long.
"Flameal." He heard his name being called from behind; only one person called him this, in such a pleasant and appealing manner. God.
Hearing the voice of the creator himself was such a relieve that could make one forget about anything else, even he's life burdens and anything that matters.
Raven chuckles. He turns back to see a huge building; probably a church, and the main door he saw a man standing there, he is made entirely out of light which surpasses the darkness around.
Raven walks towards him, when he got a few inches closer to him, he went down on his knees and bow.
"You can stand up now." God said.
Raven stands up, he gaze at his GrandFather, he hadn't changed a bit.
"Am I dead?" Raven asks innocently.
"You are in the abyss between life and dead, in other words; No." God answered his question.
Raven sighs. "I have been here for years, maybe decades. Why is this happening?"
"You had a psychic attack from Arius." God said.
Raven chuckles. "Arius!, Arius is a myth spread by mostly elderly angels to scare the young ones from going off the borders of heaven."
"Everything that exist, has it's pair; good and evil, push and pull, old and young, light and darkness." God said.
"I don't get you." Raven said confused.
"I drew you from suffocating in darkness, to light." God said.
Raven sighs, confused. "Why should this happen, I am losing track of time and history again. I have been here for over a century."
"Time here stretches far more than the time on Earth. On Earth, you've been only asleep for a week".
Raven sighs. "Means, I am not lost yet again, I will get to see Kara again."
"You sold your immortality and power cheaply to Kara Haley." God snaps.
Raven frowns."I love Kara, She is my mate. I know that."
God sighs. "You know the rules, angels aren't allowed to have mates."
"Then you should make me human, or at least a demon. Demons don't have to play by heavenly rules." Raven yells.
"The question isn't if you play by the rules or not; the rules will always be there. But what matters is, can you face the dire consequences of your actions. Every action has an equivalent reaction." God explains.
Raven gulps down. "I love Kara."
"Love isn't a bad thing itself. Kara is your greatest strength and weakness; Arius would take advantage of that." God said.
Raven scoffs frustratedly.
"Long ago, some angels descended from heaven to seek mates among humans. They produced offsprings, but they weren't there to groom their offspring and so their human part became stronger, it corrupted their minds with pride, hatred and all sorts of vices. They caused commotion on the Earth." God explains.
"If I and Kara were to ever have a son, I will be there for him. I won't let him go of guards. I will be a good father. Just give me the chance." Raven pleaded.
"Hmm ." God hums.
"I have no interest in your romantic life. As long as the balance of the universe is maintained." God said.
Raven sighs.
"Flameal, the tides has changed, there isn't time left." God added.
"What do you mean?"
"In 3 minutes, an Earthquake would hit the Earth taking with it β of the Earth's population." God explains.
Raven gasps heavily.
"Nature would save the Earth, but Kara would die." God said.
"Why, why must it be her?" Raven yells.
"She would if you stay here, but you can save her." God said.
"Then take me back to Earth." Raven snaps.
"It is a test of faith. You could either save Kara, or you listen to what I have to tell you." God said.
Raven sighs, trying to remain as calm as possible. "How important is it?"
"Important to save the world from Arius." God snaps.
"I need more time, and you have it." Raven said.
"Life is about choices Flameal, you either can save the Earth or Kara."
Raven groans, he couldn't imagine living without Kara; if she dies she would pass to the afterlife.
Raven sighs. "Kara, take me to Kara."
Saying this the light figure burst into a bright blinding light making Raven to shield his eyes with his palm. Then the light dies of almost immediately returning Raven to the dark void he once was.
"Take me back." Raven calls out.
Something fell from the sky and hits the ground making it shook, a spotlight from the sky shone on the object. It was a memorial stone with "Raven Eastman" written on it.
"What is this?" Raven said startled.
Another spotlight caught his eyes, he saw a man with a sword holding a lady on the neck. The lady tries to set herself free but she couldn't. Raven looks closer and saw it was Kara.
"Kara!" He mutters, he tries to move but is stopped by an invisible force.
Raven struggles to free himself but he couldn't, he watch the man stab Kara on the belly and she gave a loud yell which hurts him in the chest a lot.
The man turns to look at Raven, he drops Kara's lifeless body on the ground.
"Micheal!" Raven said, he became angry and he tries to lose himself from the invisible force which held him.
Micheal slow dissolved into sands, forming a storm which hits Raven where he stood.
Raven had expected, to be buried by sands, but instead it unveiled a new world, Raven heard the sound of horses and the clattering if swords. He heard an indistance explosion.
He was in the battle field, not just any battle but battle of Mankind, Elves, Angels, and Demons. Lots of lifeless body littered the place like sands in the seashore.
Raven heard a lady sobs, he turns to the direction and he saw Laura. He runs to meet her.
He taps on her shoulder. "Laura, Laura. It's me Raven.
Laura sobs more. "Dead, they are all dead. My world is gone." She said not paying attention to Raven.
"Laura, look at me." Raven said.
Laura glares at him. "No, it isn't you. You are not here."
Raven stares at her confused by what she meant; he wonders if he had woken up.
A bright light shone again before Raven, it's intensity increases making Raven to shield his eyes.
Raven felt his body coming alive, he felt his strength. He opens his eyes and found himself in the hospital.
π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£π£
Raven sits up, he saw that the room looks untidy with everything displaced from their usual position. The Earthquake had taken place.
"Raven, you are awake." Laura runs to meet him.
Raven gasps. "Where is Kara?"
"She followed her mean dad, to the gas station." George snaps.
Raven jumps down from the bed. "She is in danger."
A loud explosion is heard which shook the building.
"Raven!" Laura gasps.
A pair of mighty white wings sprout out from Raven's back, he torn the patient's gown from his body.
"Oh myβ" George said then fainted.
Raven stares at Laura who was startled. "He will be fine."
Raven jumps over the window of the building, and flew to the gas station as fast as he could.
Raven arrives at the gas station, his wings disappears into his back. The fire fighters were struggling to calm the fire down, people were still trapped inside the building including Kara and her dad.
Two of the fire fighters got burnt trying to get into the building; the building was literally impenetrable because of the flames and the series of gas explosions.
Raven stares at them. "Stay back." He warned.
Raven runs towards the main door. A man tries to stop him.
"Hey, that's off limits, you could hurt yourself." The man warns.
Raven ignores him, what matters now was that he save Kara, he passed through the flames with ease which startled the firefighters.
Raven finds his way through the smoke and flames. For the first time he wished he was a water kind of angel not fire. What could fire do to help the situation. The last time he had stopped the tsunami he could feel his powers being drained.
Raven could hear Kara's voice, he could hear her thoughts that she was praying her last prayers, he could feel her hating and cursing herself for not getting to see him again before she dies.
Raven hates that Kara had to feel this way. He finally found the room they were. He tore the door like a sheet of paper.
Kara saw him, is was as if her hope had been brought to life. But; he was literally on flames, how was he able to pass through the fire, his eyes she could see fire literally in then. He wore just a white lether pant with gold bands which reflects in the flames, she saw his bare body, one moment they were on flames the next moment the flames were out and Raven wasn't hurt. His white pants looks as white as ever, he didn't seem to have pass through the fire.
"Raven!" She runs over to him and hugs him, not minding if her father was there or Raven was bare bodied. He had just given her hope.
Raven hugs her tightly. "I thought, I would lose you." He said against her hair.
"Me too, I thought I would never see you again." Kara said.
General Haley snares at them. "Alright you two, this is no time for happy reunions, we are still in the middle of the fire."
Now RavenΒ had to deal with how he would lead them and the other staffs out of the fire, he never thought of that before.
"Hey, come on." They heard a voice, it was Amenadiel. What was he doing here, Raven thought.
Raven sighs.
Amenadiel held two fire extinguishers, he hands one over to Raven; he winks at him. " You should probably think of this next time."
They got out of the building safe much to the surprise of the fire fighters. Who was this other dude? They thoughts. They had seen Raven go in, but they didn't see Amenadiel go in.
Whatever, putting the strange feelings aside, what matters was that everyone is safe, the general was safe and in good health.
Kara clings to Raven, Raven looks down at her. "Thanks for saving my life." She said.
Raven grins, he kisses Kara slightly on her lips. "I love you Kara."
