Lynx sat up on his sofa, for three months he had been trapped in the mortal world with 'the crown of ages' which haunts him day and night relentlessly.
"Lynx! Lynx!" The crown called.
Lynx tries to ignore it's call, but this only seem to infuriate the crown. The crown surely do have a mind of it's own.
"Lynx, you can't ignore my call." The voice of the crown said.
"No one can ignore the call of power." It added.
The crown hovers 3-5 ft above the ground before Lynx. Lynx stares at the fiery looking crown, he wasn't going to give in to the call of the crown, he wasn't going to wear the crown.
The red gem at the top of the crown seem hypnotising, that one could easily give in. Lynx shifts his gaze immediately.
If only Lucifer had agree to destroy the stupid crown, He thought. Several times had he tried to suppress the crown using his magic, several times had he tried to conceal the energy of the crown but it seem to increase ceaselessly.
Lynx decided to go to a restaurant to have something to eat, he had been watching the crown for the last 27 hours, he was hungry, frustrated, and tired. He wanted to go home, but he also had to keep an eye on the crown which seem to be draining him off his strength.
Lynx got up, he took some clothes to cover his bare body. He tries to step outside from the door but the invisible force of the crown was pulling him back.
The crown wanted Lynx to wear it; to feed on Lynx flaws and impurities. The crown wanted a host and onced a host of this evil crown you bend willingly to the crown's evil desires.
Lynx ignores the crown.
Stepping outside the sun seemed so blinding; he really hasn't been out for long, but he also had to admit the fact that the sun in the mortal realm was brighter than that of the immortal realm. At least before Arius attacked the immortal realm.
Lynx finds his way to Mr T-foods restaurant, (a restaurant he grew to like ever since he had been in New York) through the blinding sunshine which his eyes seem not to adapt to easily.
When he got seated a waiter brought him a menu.
"I can't read so what's the use?" He snapped.
The waiter humbly withdrew the menu and asked Lynx what he needed.
Lynx wasn't so sure what he needed, he knew little about human food in the mortal realm, he couldn't read the menu either because he wasn't use to human language.
"Let me help you." A lady calls.
Lynx turned to meet her, she was a rare kind with rare beauty. He thought women in the immortal realm were more beautiful than in the mortal realm. But this lady was one of a kind.
He saw that she had the touch of an angel and also the devil; Funny he thought. Angels and demons always leave traces on whoever they come in contact with, it might last for even a life time. But she was young maybe eighteen, she could possibly tell or at least remember when she came in contact with an angel. She might come at handy.
"Hi!" He said.
"I'm Laura, can I help you with something." Laura offers.
"Ugh.... Actually I'm not quite use to the food around here." Lynx said.
"Hmm." Laura hums. "Maybe, I can help. I was about getting something to eat. Can I get you the same." Laura asks.
"Fair enough." Lynx snaps.
Laura made her order, which the waiter brought one for her and the other for Lynx. Laura decided to share a table with Lynx.
Laura gaze at Lynx; he looks weird and strange. His white long hair, his pale skin. He was lean and had red patches around his eyes. He wasn't having a good time she thought.
"You are not from around here." Laura pointed.
"No, I'm new in town." Lynx snaps.
"What brought you to New York?" Laura asked curiously.
"I didn't come by my own will, I'm trapped here." Lynx blurts out.
"Um... Maybe I can figure out a way to take you home." Laura said, not quite sure of what she said but if this man was truly trapped here, she would love to help.
Lynx smirks.
"What's your name? that's a good start." Laura said.
"Lynx." Lynx snaps.
"O...k." Laura said not knowing what else to say.
Lynx leans on the table. "Tell me Laura, you haven't been making just human friends. Have you?" Lynx asks, opening the topic of the fact that she had been touched by an angel.
Laura gulps. "Excuse me." Laura said politely.
"I meant you are making friends with angels and maybe the devil." Lynx snaps.
Laura frowns, had she just helped another angel? She wasn't ready to deal with another angel.
"How—How are you so sure about that." Laura stutters.
"Because I am not just off this city. I'm not of this world." Lynx said.
Laura gasps.
"I'm an Elf." Lynx said. "And a soccerer." He added.
"O...k." Laura stuttered.
"I need your help." Lynx said.
Laura wonders what kind of help she could possibly offer to Lynx. "How!" She said more in a whisper.
"I need you to get me to Lucifer." Lynx said.
Laura gasps. Hilarious, she thought. How did he know she was seeing Lucifer.
"Why?"
"I hold something, something of great value. It has the power to undo your world, It is hell's artifact." Lynx snaps.
"What could this be?" Laura asks.
"I can't let you see it. It preys on one's mind. Only Lucifer can destroy it." Lynx said.
"Ok, I'm done here." Laura stands to leave.
"Laura wait!" Lynx called.
"What are you saying? I've had enough from, angels, devil and dark Lords. I just need a sec to be normal." Laura blurts out.
"If you don't do this, there won't be a world to be normal in." Lynx said.
Laura sighs. "You said you are a soccerer, why don't you get him yourself." Laura said.
"To get the devil to speak with isn't easy at all. Only one in a million could ever have an encounter with him. You are a rare kind Laura, you had an encounter with Lucifer and you knew and can still remember you did." Lynx explains.
Laura scoffs. "Ok, I will tell him. I have no idea how to contact him but he might be back within a week."
"Ok."Lynx said a bit relieve that Laura agreed.
"Take this Laura." He gave Laura a crystal like gem. "When he comes back just mutter my name into the gem and I will be there." Lynx said.
Laura receives the gem.
"Whatever it is, just don't play pranks on Lucifer. Those who did never lived to tell." Lynx warned.
Laura gasps. What was Lynx putting her into? She wasn't ready to meet Lucifer, furthermore ask him for a favour. What is she thinking?
Was she really going to ask the devil for a favour?
