Laura wakes up and found herself in her room; her head aches terribly. She tries to roll over but her body hurts a lot.
She remembers going to the hospital with her mom and George, she remembers meeting Kara, but she can't remember how she got to her room.
She wince in pain as she rolls over. She saw a manly figure sitting besides her on her bed. She couldn't figure out who he was because her vision was so blurry from the headache.
"Lucifer!" She whispers.
The man sighs. "I'm not Lucifer Laura."
Laura tries to situp, but the pain she felt on her body was so intense that she fell back. She hated looking so vulnerable and weak in front of this strange man.
"You need to relax Laura, you are hurt." He pats her on her head making Laura feel much better and the pains reducing drastically.
"How long was I out?" She asks.
"30 minutes." The man replies.
Laura's memories began to come alive; she remembers she left the hospital, the sun turning pale green, people disappearing, the dark smoky clouds. She gasps. She remembers the light that appeared before her before she passed out.
She gasps heavily, then shifts away from the man ignoring the pains that follows. "Who are you?"
"I'm Amenadiel." He replies.
Laura sighs. She could now see him clearly; he was dark and handsome, he wore a white T-shirt which showed of his bulging biceps, a pair of White pants and sneakers, a silver necklace which stretches across his torso.
What was she thinking; How could she feel he was Lucifer? They weren't even close. She probably might be thinking of Lucifer too much.
"Are you___are you an angel?" She stutter.
"Yes, and unfortunately the brother of Lucifer." Amenadiel snaps.
Laura sighs; not again, less than three months she's being surrounded by paranormal beings. First Raven; she thought it was cool, Secondly Lucifer; the man who has haunted her in her dreams for months, Now Amen....Amen.....na...what, what the hell is the name? Just saved her from a fiercely looking dark smoky cloud about to choke her to death, which mystery she is yet to uncover.
"You need to relax Laura, I will get you some coffee." Amenadiel offers.
"No, I'm fine." Laura sits up. "Raven!"
"You need to worry less about Raven and more about yourself." Amenadiel said.
Laura frowns. "Why? Is it because he's an angel."
"No, it has more to do than that." Amenadiel assures.
Laura pouts.
"Raven is only under a deep slumber, but you are being haunted." Amenadiel explains.
Laura gasps. "Haunted!, Why?"
"You think you are nothing less than a mere mortal Laura. You are far more than you think you are." Amenadiel adds.
Laura sighs. "I think I know were this is going. It's about Lucifer wanting to buy my soul thing. Isn't it?"
"Lucifer doesn't understand yet." Amenadiel said calmly.
"Why am I being haunted? And what was that? All I ever wanted is to be normal." Laura blurts out.
Amenadiel grins. "Funny world, 'normal people wants to be something extra ordinary, while the extra ordinary people wants to be like everyone else'."
Laura scoffs frustratedly. "That doesn't answer my question. Who is he? And what does he wants with me?"
"He is Arius, the god of darkness." Amenadiel snaps.
"Still makes no sense to me." Laura said bluntly.
"Arius seeks to conquer the universe disrupting the balance between good and evil. The only way he can succeed is by taking out those who might seem to pose serious problem in his quest." Amenadiel explains.
Laura's jaw falls. "Am I one of them?"
Amenadiel stares at her, not knowing a suitable way to answer her question without frightening her. "Yes."
Laura gasps. "So he wants to kill me?"
"It could be both ways." Amenadiel snaps.
"How." Laura asks confused.
"An age long prophesy will come to pass, and when it does your life and your soul would be place on the line. From now on Laura each decision you make could affect the well-being your World." Amenadiel said.
Laura gulps, a few drops of sweat dripping down her forehead. "My life and soul on the the line! What am I suppose to do."
"Trust your heart. For once in the history of mankind, man is left alone to decide his faith." Amenadiel snaps.
Laura gasps. " How?, What am I supposed to do? How did I get into all this?"
"It's your destiny, and your faith. Faith and destiny are both different words and they work in their own ways. Destiny is what you choose, while faith is the invisible force which guides you through the path to your destiny. Every soul is given the chance to choose what become of him when he transcends from heaven. It is called 'Freewill' God's first gift to all His creations." Amenadiel explains.
Laura frowns. "So you are saying I choosed this?"
Amenadiel nods. "With time you will learn to understand your purpose."
"What time do I have left, when I'm being haunted by a dark lord of whatever? I have a life; I've got to finish school, get a job, get married." Laura gasps. "Have kids. I want to live a normal life, and you are here telling me this now." Laura pants.
"Laura you need to calm down, sometimes what we want is not what we get. If this works out, I promise you would have your life back, you could be the most happiest woman on Earth." Amenadiel consoles her.
"Can you hear yourself, it's easier for you to say; I mean you are an angel, immortality is one of your qualities. I__I am a 19 year old, I am human, and humans are mortal." Laura blurts out.
Amenadiel bows his head confused.
A few tear drops from Laura's eyes. "What about Raven, when will he wake up?"
"That I don't know, but he would wake up when the time is right." Amenadiel said.
Laura sighs."I need to get back to the hospital."
Laura jumps down from the bed and wince in pains from the aches in her body. She felt the taste of blood in her mouth.
Amenadiel stares at her, he knew she would go through a lot, not just from Lord Arius, he could bet that faith and nature would also haunt Laura.
He knew Laura choosed her destiny, but he wonders what faith had in store for her.
"Laura you need to relax to get yourself together. You need your strength now more than ever." He watches her trying to take some foot steps.
She staggers forward. "I'm fine. Cookie is on the dinning if you want some."
Amenadiel grins at Laura. "No thanks. I would take my leave now."
"Ok." Laura said, she enters the bathroom to take her bath.

Lucifer grins, as he picks an apple from the dinning table; he tossed it and catches it comically. He seem to be very happy and in a good mood.
Claps. "Bravo! I never knew you could juggle." Xanias said from behind.
Lucifer eyes him. "Don't you ever find something useful doing?"
Xanias rolls his eyes. "Technically I have been looking for you; Where have you been all night?"
"I suppose, that's non of your business." Lucifer snaps.
Xanias sighs. "You know, you look a lot like Psyl when he found his mate."
Lucifer grins. "And you think I've found mine?"
Xanias nods. "Maybe. I can scent the emotions out of you. Tell me, what's she like?"
Lucifer sighs, he knew Xanias to be a curious one and won't back off except he got a reasonable answer from him. "I'm not so sure."
Xanias frowns.
"It doesn't concerns you Xanias, and neither does my whereabouts. I am the Lord of hell. Remember? And I not to be questioned." Lucifer blurts out.
Xanias frowns. "Speaking of being the Lord of hell, I had expect you sit on that boringΒ throne all day, staring at the ceiling thinking of the fact that you are the devil, and how bad your manners could be sometimes."
Lucifer grins. "If you trying to make me feel less better, well the news is; it aren't working."
"I didn't expect it to work either. Your majesty." Xanias said with the word Your Majesty sounding awful from him as he said it mockingly.
Lucifer chuckles. He threw the apple over to him. "Here you can have some, to save you the troubles of looking for me."
Xanias caught the apple. "I'm not a kid anymore."
Lucifer turns himself some wine. "You don't look any different."
"No, I don't." Xanias shifts his gaze a little higher than Lucifer. "And I think you have a guest."
Lucifer sighs without turning, knowing who it was. "Hello Firstborn."
"Hello__ Lucifer." Amenadiel greets.
Xanias gulps. "I think I will leave you two alone."
Lucifer eyes Xanias.
Xanias winks at him, and vanishes into a pile of shining red dust.
"What brings you here?" Lucifer asks getting temperamental.
"Not even a warm welcome." Amenadiel teases.
"Well it seems I'm rather in a good mood today, and since you always show up to spoil the fun. 'You are not officially welcome'." Lucifer gulps down some drink and place the cup on the table.
Amenadiel grins. "Well in that case I will have to make myself feel at home myself." He drags out a chair from the table and sits down.
Lucifer eyes him.
"I come with news from Father." Amenadiel said.
Lucifer sighs. "What again 'poppet' ?"
"Father request that you send warnings to Arius telling him that his quest to conquer the universe is vain, and that there won't be a world to rule if he continues with this." Amenadiel states.
Lucifer bangs the table angrily. "This is absurd. Why do I get to do the dirty work?"
"Rewards for being a fallen I guess." Amenadiel grins.
Lucifer smirks. "Well tell Dad I said a big fat NO. He should go face Arius man to man, and then sort whatever they want, pull each other's hair and maybe kill themselves."
Amenadiel stands up startled."Are you insane Lucifer?"
Lucifer yearns. "My name sounds horrible coming from you."
"It is impossible, light and darkness cannot meet. God is light, Arius is darkness. If they meet, the universe we work hard maintaining it's balance would be lost forever." Amenadiel blurted out.
"And the last time I checked I am the the Lord of hell, doomed to rule hell for all eternity. You know I kinda like that since I've got the freedom I want to do whatever I want. I am not the ruler of the universe, Dad is. And if he cares much, He can face off with Arius." Lucifer yells.
"What has gone wrong with you Lucifer, you've lost your sense of reasoning. " Amenadiel laments.
Lucifer sighs angrily. "You know, it pissed me off, whenever I am told that I have a role to play in maintaining the balance of the universe, actually I don't care. Why should I?"
"Because you are part of it." Amenadiel snaps.
Lucifer sighs, not knowing what else to say. "Have you got anything better?"
Amenadiel grins.
Lucifer frowns. "What's so funny?"
"You know, I'm surprised at you, you aren't helping at all. War is brewing and you don't care." Amenadiel states.
"I will not be part of this. Understand?" Lucifer said.
"You even lost 'the crown of ages'."
"That's none of your business Amenadiel. It's hell artifact not heaven's."
Amenadiel frowns. "If Arius gets hold of it, he would have a physical form, he won't be limited to the shadows anymore."
"I see no difference in both." Lucifer blurts out.
Amenadiel sighs. "He attacked Laura."
Lucifer's eyes widen, he clenches his fist. "Laura!"
Amenadiel could see his change in attitude. "She's fine now, I saved her. You can say a thank you to me later."
Lucifer felt relieve, he walks towards the door. "Laura!, I've to go check on her." He said calmly.
Amenadiel teleported himself to the door and stops him. "You two are in no better position to see each other now."
Lucifer clenched his fist harder, making him bleeds from his claws which had elongated. His eyes blazing red. He hated that Arius had hurt Laura, he seriously wanted to see her. "Why can't I go now?"
"And let her see you like this? No way." Amenadiel guides him back to the table draws out a chair for him.
Lucifer seem restless, he was sweating profusely. He felt his chest hurt; a lot. He stares at Amenadiel confused, panting. "Why do I feel this way?"
Amenadiel grins at him. "Because you love her."
"I know, I love her but it hurts." Lucifer gulps down.
Amenadiel sighs. "Because she is your mate, she hurts and you want to see her badly."
"Does she feel the same way about me?" Lucifer asks childishly.
"You can always find out yourself." Amenadiel said. "Lucifer you shouldn't do anything rash, Laura would be fine. We can't risk losing you over to Arius."
"Xanias was right. Laura is my mate, it all makes sense now." Lucifer mutters.
Amenadiel grins at him. "Look at you, behaving like a child."
Lucifer frowns. "Why would Arius want to hurt her?"
Amenadiel frowns."We are not discussing Laura here. Are we?"
Lucifer smirks, thumping his index finger on the table.
"I know that face, you shouldn't go seeking revenge. You can't fight Arius, not alone. Laura would be fine, you shouldn't do anything rash now." Amenadiel pleads.
Lucifer nods. "No promises."
