Raven and George are in his room. George is dressing and prepping Raven on how he is expected to behave during a date.
"Do you really have to go through this," George asked tiredly.
"Of course, to make a good first impression." Raven adjust his collar.
"No , I thought you would do your vudo thing to get dress up as usual." George snaps.
"Well, I didn't. Makes me more human right?" Raven replies.
"I'm not so sure about that." George snorts.
"You should be, Because It's not my intention that my first date should be ruin by a fickle minded human." Raven said, seriousness in his tune.
"She is human." George remarks.
"And I'm an angel, immortal, powerful! You can't be serious George." Raven blurted out.
"Don't you ever take a break from reading one's mind." George scold.
"I haven't got full controls of it, it just happens sometimes."
"Whatever ." George said more to himself.
"George , how does it feel to be mortal?" Raven asks curiously.
"Mortal how?!"
"To know that you are not going to be__ Alive for long." Raven said.
"There's nothing to feel Raven. And you shouldn't be the one asking. I should be asking." George snaps.
"Why ?!"
"You know, the thing with being immortal, living too long aren't you guys ever boring." George inquires.
"Yes and no."
"What do you mean yes and no?" George asks.
"Yes we do get bored and no because when we do, we might as well travel to another dimension or realm." Raven replied.
"Oh , I get that." George ruminated.
Raven sighs as he adjust his bow tie."This looks awkward on me."
"No it looks great on you." George assures.
Raven removes his bow tie. "I think I can do without this." He gave it to George.
"Dude, do you wanna really date Kara?" George asks.
"Sure do." Raven unlocks two upper bottoms from his inner sleeve.
"I mean her dad is a bad ass general. And you can guess what happens when you mess with his daughter." George explained.
Raven adjusts his wrist watch. "And you think, I might hurt her?"
"No, but you don't look like a guy to stick to one girlfriend either." George remarks.
Raven glares at George "Even if am an angel?"
George nods.
"First of all, human ranks don't bother me__" Raven said.
" Then you may as well let him know 'who you are?' or ' what you are?' George interupts.
"Listen George, in an immortal's life, being in love once could be dangerous, being again? I say that would be disastrous." Raven explains.
George sighs."You gotta go now or you'll late."
"I am never late." Raven smirks.
"Wanting to be human involves, taking a taxi and not teleporting yourself." George remarks with a grin.
"No, that's exceptional." Raven snaps.
"Why should it be, it kinda makes you more human." George explains.
"More human by soiling my rather awkward but nice suit?" Raven asks.
"That's why you need a taxi." George remarks.
Raven sighs. "I feel terrible about this already."
"No, you shouldn't, it should be your best moment." George smirks.
"George where is Laura?"
"She's asleep." Decidedly. "I think." George said.
"Well, I think, I should go now" Raven picks his black coat and wore it.
Raven and George got to the living room, and they meant Laura watching TV.
"Jeez! Why are you looking so nice tonight?" Laura exclaims.
"His going on a date." George blurted out.
Laura tilts her head questioningly.
"With Kara."Raven added.
Laura rolls her eyes dreamingly. "Oh Kara Haley, she such a nice girl."
"You are my favorite human Laura." Raven pulls Laura and hugged her.
"Hey! What about me?" George asks fuming anger.
Raven releases Laura who seemed to be choking from his tight hug. "You just said 'her father was a badass general' which is rather not encouraging at all"
"It was just a precaution." George defends.
"Well, there is nothing to be to careful about, and I don't take precautions from humans." Raven snaps.
Laura eyes George.
"What?" George retorted.
"No one ever says anything about you or Sydney, why should you blab about Raven and Kara" Laura said bluntly.
"First of all I and Sydney, 'is not an official date' ,but Raven and Kara is."George defended.
Laura scoffs." I see no difference there."
"Guys, I think I should get going now, or I would be late." Raven steps outside, the cold wind blowing his hair.
"Yeah, Don't mind George, he is always the blabing one" Laura spat.
Both Laura and George followed Raven outside to get a taxi.

In her opinion, she hadn't given any man a chance in her life let alone fall in love with one. She glance at her wrist watch, it was 7:10 pm. She wonders if Raven wasn't going to come, he was late already. She never thought she would ever fall in love with anyone in New York, but here she is she had fell in love with Raven and not just that she had ask him out. She felt terrible and happy at the same time, terrible for not being patient and asking him out first and happy that she did and he accepted willingly.
After another 10 minutes of boredom she picks her phone to take a selfie pic, she focused it on her face but she saw nothing but a blank yellow fiery light. She looks behind and saw Raven towering her with a grin.
Kara tries to muster as much anger as she could. "You are late."
"Fifteen minutes? yes." Raven smirks. "Um, can we have a drink."
"No." She spat.
Raven relaxes on his back, with hands cross on his chest."You are not angry with me. Are you?"
Kara sighs."No, I'm not. You are fifteen minutes late and we've to get to the theater in time so we don't miss anything." Kara explains.
Raven stares at her intensively. "Humans are always conscious about time. Aren't they?"
"Yes, and which planet are you from? Mars?" Kara chuckles.
"Heaven." Raven snaps.
"Hm, I think we better get going before we waste our time speaking in metaphors." Kara concludes.
"Only if you think it is." Raven smirks.
They both got up and left for the theater.
At theater, the lights are off and everyone stares intensively at the screen which illuminated blue lights shone on the faces of everyone, probably watching what they term the most romantic movie ever aired, Kara was so happy being with Raven on their first date, it seemed to brigthen her mood more than the popcorn on her hand. Raven traces his hands to Kara's, drifting her attention to him, but he was still inclined on the movie. Kara immediately realize that he did it unintentionally, his body was probably reacting to the movie. She was glad he did, she enjoyed holding his hand, she wish this could go on forever.
"Do you like the movie?" Kara asks wanting to start up a conversation with him.
"Like?! I love the movie." Raven realizes how tight he held Kara's hand, then he releases her hand feeling embarrass.
"No don't." Kara said quickly.
Raven stares at her surprised, Kara had really changed over night, the last 1 week, she had yelled at him to get of her hair but now she wanted him to hold her hands.
"Just hold me Raven. Don't stop." She said pleadingly.
Raven grins, then traces his hand to her palm which was open to receive he's.
He stares at her intensively. "Kara I ___"
Kara places her index finger on his lips, then with the same finger she gestures at the huge theater screen. "Movie first Raven."
Raven grins, then turns to the movie.
Laura stared at him for a while, she wondered why she had stopped him from say what he wanted to, she turns back to the movie her hand still fixed on Raven's, enjoying the sensation it brought to her.
"Kara do you wanna go outside?" Raven asks.
"With you?" Kara asks.
"Yes with me." He stares at Kara waiting for her reply.
"But the movie isn't over yet." She excuses.
" Come on Kara, you can watch it again some other time." Raven got up with his jacket on one hand and with the other he held Kara and pulls her along, Kara picks her hand bag and follows reluctantly still staring at the TV to get a few more scenes.
The pair stops when they arrive at the Central Park perdestriant bridge.
"Look at the view Kara. Isn't it beautiful." Raven gasps.
Kara sighs. "Yeah it is."
"You still want to watch the movie. Don't you?" Raven inquires.
" No, I'm fine. Being with you is enough." She held his hands and stares up at him.
A grin found it's way to Raven's face.
"Are your eyes always like this?" She said referring to the way his eyes glowed.
" Would you like them any other way?" He smirks.
"No, I like it. It fits your sleeves." She pointed referring to his gold sleeve which had an equal glow fitting his eyes.
Raven sighs heavily.
Some group of girls passes staring at Raven, they wave at him. "Hi." They said in unison.
Hi. Raven replies.
Kara who was staring at the river turns to Raven then the girls. "Everyone seem to like you Raven."
"Of course, what's there not to like?" Raven grins.
Kara felt jealous, it was weird but she felt really jealous, Raven sense her jealousy and anger.
He sighs."But I get to choose who I spend my time with. Don't I?"
Kara nods.
Raven takes her hands in his, he stares into her emerald green eyes which seemed to reflect back the colours of his eyes. He smiles at her. "I love you Kara."
Kara felt so nervous that she couldn't breathe again.
"I mean it Kara, I want to spend eternity with you." Raven assures.
Kara gasps, then crosses the distance between them by hugging him so tight, Raven strokes her hair caressing her.
"I.... is that a yes." He stutters.
Kara looks up at him with a smile and a drop of tear in her eyes.
Raven removes the tear with his thumb.
Kara releases him.
"You know Raven, I haven't had a real date before, the thing with my dad being a strict over protective five star General. And maybe me not being ready to stand up to it either." Kara begins. "I left Washington because I was sick and tired of my dad always sticking to my hair, and my uncle isn't bad at all. "
"I understand Kara, dads can be sometimes be overprotective and overbearing, but I think I kinda missed that feelings. " Raven stated.
" You miss your dad. What happened to him. Is he___" Kara said halfway.
" No Kara, he is still very much alive. But I haven't seen him in years. I don't know what to say or feel right now. " He gasps.
" Like for how long?" Kara inquires.
" Too long to remember Kara, if I told you, you won't believe either. " Raven saids.
Kara frowns.
" Maybe a billion years." Raven snaps.
"A billion years" Kara scoffs.
"I think you should go home now." Raven said.
"Ok, yeah." Kara sighs.
" I will accompany you." Raven added.
"I can take care of myself." She snaps.
"Well you can't go home all alone, at least not for a girl." Raven pointed.
Kara gaze at him. " I'm a woman, not a girl."
" Ok yeah, a young woman." Raven teases.
" Woman, just that." She snaps.
" Kara, is that really necessary."
The pair strolls down the streets not willing to take a taxi since they both had each other.
Raven held Kara possessively and Kara instinctsively succumbs. They got to Kara's residence, a duplex where she lives with her uncle, aunt and their four kids. Raven reluctantly let's go of her, it seemed to be the worst thing he had ever done.
The pair stood facing each other, waiting for the other to say the first goodbye.
Raven bends instinctsively and kissed Kara. "Bye." He mutters.
Kara wasn't willing to be teased by his kiss, he mouth taste so good, "like........ like... Honey." She thought.
She pulls his head down and pressed her lips against his, kissing him hard to get every taste of him and the more she did the more she wanted.
Raven held her against his chest, she traces her finger from his hair down to the little opening if his chest.
When she did this, her touch awakens something inside Raven, something which might have been in the shadows for so long.
He suddenly felt his fangs growing slowly and his claws inch him as they emerge slowly from his fingers. He felt the colour of his eyes change not just that, his back aches, his wings wanting to come out. He quickly withdrew his lips from Kara's not wanting to hurt her with his fangs.
Kara sighs heavily as she seem to regain her senses. "I'm sorry Raven, we shouldn't be doing this here."
He tries to avoid looking back at her, not wanting her to see his fangs or his eyes." Bye Laura, sleep tight." He said then walks away without waiting for her response.
He passed a few blocks, he suddenly felt relief, he looks at his fingers they were back too normal, his fangs were still slightly out of place. He wonders what really happened.
About a stone throw to the Eastman's residence, he felt a cool strange wind blew, he closes his eyes as he try to sense what it was.
"I know it's you Whorus. You've been stalking me for days. Why do you linger in the shadows."
Saying this a Titanic wolf like creature emerges from the alley, it's eyes glowing so blue, it's fur was as white as white could ever be, it had huge wings like that of an eagle.
"There you are, Whorus. I wasn't expecting to see you any sooner." Raven said admiring the size of Whorus.
