'Yes. This is the reason. A Summoning Token.'

'This quest or mission is hidden. The quest would not show up even if you ask the system. It would only show itself after fulfilling the quest.'

'Since we have fulfilled the conditions by killing 15 Race Class Species and 1 higher rank, the system unlocked the Summoning Token feature.'

'These Summoning Tokens is vital for rapid development… but you would have to do something cruel to be able to efficiently use it.'

In the Ascended Universe, the only way to increase the population of the race you created in the empire without using special means is through conceiving a baby through pregnancy.

However, since the world they are located in is considered as one of the recently Ascended Worlds selected and thus is still not completely part of the Ascended Universe, they would have some beginner's package of some sort.

The summoning platform at the center of the village is one of such.

They could rapidly increase the population of their race as it would summon people every day at noon.

But that is not the only thing given to beginners to rapidly develop and increase the population of their race. The Summoning Token is also another great option.

Avery then held out one hand. A small flash of light occurred above his hand followed by a smooth solid feeling in his hand.

Looking at it. He saw a round crystal token. The letter F was largely written at the front while the number 19 was written at the back.

"Wow! What is that big brother?" Seeing the strange beautiful round crystal token, Yue asked.

"A Summoning Token" Avery said as he handed out the token to Yue.

"Summoning? Does it have anything to do with the summoning platform at the village?" Yue asked as she inspected the crystal token.

"Yes. In fact, the summoning platform is needed in order to use these tokens."

"What does it do?"

"Well, it would allow you to summon villagers of your race."

"The letter a the front would determine the potential of the summoned villager, while the number at the back would determine how many you could summon." Avery added.

"Wow! This would solve the population problem that we have. Our population is restricting the things we could back at the village." Yue said.

"Though there are some disadvantages to it. First of all, these things would be useless after the Ascended World completely merges with the rest of the Ascended Universe. This means that once the preparation period is done, the token, summoning platform, and etc, would become useless."

"Aside from that, getting anything higher than F Grade through the normal method is almost impossible, but getting an E Grade might be doable. However, anything beyond that is impossible as C Grade and above could only be attained from event rewards provided by the system." Avery added.

Yue thought about it for a few seconds. "Hmmm…."

After thinking she decides to give her thoughts about it "The first advantage might be bad in the future, but that is only if we don't act now. Since the end preparation period is still a long way we could use this time to rapidly acquire these tokens."

"The other disadvantage might sound bad, but that is only for others. Our race is practically guaranteed of one full trait at F Grade, while others would only get a third of the potential of their trait. This would only give us benefit if there is a way to rapidly acquire these tokens." Yue added.

"Exactly." Avery agreed.

"So how do you even get these, Big brother?" Yue finally asked.

"Well do you know what a race class is?"

"You mean Humans, Dwarves, Beastmen, Elves, and… Goblins? Right?"

"Yes. Though it might not appear as such but Goblins are also Race Class."

"Nn." Yue nodded.

"So to acquire those tokens, you have to…"

"Hm?" Yue was a bit confused as it seems like her brother was trying to avoid saying it.

"...to kill a race class species."

"..!" At those words, Yue's body suddenly froze. She stiffened at the implication.

Yue slowly looked at the crystal token and thought about something.

She then looked at Avery to confirm her suspicion.

"Is the system saying that we should commit genocide?"

"Yeah...it is. To develop ourselves for the upcoming future events and threats, the system added this feature to allow the people to rapidly develop."

"...there is also suspicion that the people who were killed were used to create those tokens." Avery stated.

Yue was a little bit shocked after hearing those words.

"There is also the fact that by killing the ruler of a kingdom and fulfilling some other conditions, the system would reward you with the summoning tokens corresponding to the population of the kingdom." Avery continued

"But then again... if we do that then the people of that particular kingdom would all disappear which is no different than genocide. Even if we did not kill them, it would still be us who initiated it to happen and forced them to disappear." Avery said.

In the last timeline, his sister hesitated in using such means to rapidly increase the population. Even if they were trained to be ready in the act of killing. Genocided is a whole new level of cruelty.

Though it is not only her as Avery along with the other people on the Earth also hesitated. But, they quickly adapted after a while.

But Yue was stubborn she tried to find other ways, and only relented after she was forced to. Sadly, that hesitation and stubbornness took too long which left her behind in the development of her empire.

Now that they are ruling an empire together, he wanted to know what his sister would think and if she could accept those facts faster.

Yue deeply looked at the round crystal token in her hand.

She thought about what her big brother said.

'Genocide.... huh?'

'The act of killing was ingrained to us by our parents, but genocide? That is a completely different matter.'

'Can I do it?'

'Aside from the training by our parents, I still lived a relatively normal life just a few days ago.'

'Killing a squad or two is easy. But what if it is hundreds of thousands? A million?'

'Am I prepared to commit such cruelty?' The hand holding the crystal starts to tremble a little.
