I began to believe that I am Immortal until proven mortal. Even though I am Eather born, it doesn't make me forget that I too may and will die but with my handle of martial skill makes it easier to forget about my mortality.
* * *
I am born a female between the strokes of the moon of the winter solstice. I am Eather born and posses the magic of life visible from birth. The Empress is my mother and I am the first born child to the rulers of Great Jin. I am the next generation of the long line of the Xing family.
When I was born I was a very very pale and very cold so the murmurs of the palace called Xing Bai. As I gained color and life I remained very pale but my lips where a pink of peach blossoms and my hair was of deep autumn oak color. I had the mark of an Eather born, a small seven petal flower of various colors, mine was mostly the same color as peaches, strokes of lavender, and details of a bright sky blue. My mark was located in between my shoulder blades on my lower back.
When I reached three months of life I was bestowed the name Xing Han Bai Mi. The Emperor had grown fond of the nickname that swirled around me and decided it as part of my name.
When I reached one year of age my mother grew gravely ill and my father took on the affairs of the country without my mother anymore causing him to be too busy to visit me in my mother's palace.
When I reach five years old my mother's illness had subsided but then the Noble Consort was found to be pregnant.
The Noble Consort tried to curry the favor of the court and plotted to kill me and my mother while she was nearing the end of her pregnancy. The Noble Consort's plan was foiled by me on accident as I was a child with no true grasp on my gift.
The Noble Consort sent my mother and me a basket of infected cakes. My mother had just regained her health and the position as Empress was still her burden, I tried to comfort her by turning the cakes into a flower shape using my magic but I actually turned the cakes into flowers.
I hadn't realized it but by accidentally saving me and mother then I put our futures onto a treacherous path.
The Noble Consort gave birth to a girl and so there was another Proncess but still no Prince's for my father.
When I turned seven years old I heard of the prophecy about the children born to the Empress and the Noble Consort of rival empires meant to join hands or to destroy each other and was told I was the believed to be apart of.
When I was ten years I entered the Eather College as the youngest member to ever join I was treated well by the members of the college but others harbored jealousy and resentment, leading to malicious attention to me and they used underhanded tricks to make me miserable.
While I was dealing with a large tag team of such people, a terrible plot unfolded in the palace taking the lives of my mother and sister.
The Noble Consort killed my mother on purpose and her own child on accident. With guilt of killing her own child the Noble Consort wept for death but lived on.
My father deemed the Noble Consort unfit to be Empress and so he had me help him scour the Imperial Harem for a suitable woman to manage the harem at least.
My mother had a sister who had also married into the harem but jealousy caused a rift between my mother and her sister. My mother never held her sister in low regards and had always wanted to repair their relationship but alas fate wasn't keen on allowing my mother peace. I decided that as well as being my aunt, she was also one of the people my mother had trusted the most.
When I turned twelve I was forced to be a pawn for the kingdom and was going to be betrothed to the King of Huai. I would likely die in Huai at hands of it's and so my father refused to see me before I left feeling that he had killed me.
On my way to Huai I was seperated from my people and was lost in the snowy mountains. I wandered and wandered around in a blizzard and almost met my death.
I was alone when I lost conciousness but when I awoke a small creature that exuded warmth was in my embrace. The small creature had white feathers and red fur. Together me and the small creature made it a small village where I was able to get help and return to the palace.
I kept the small creature and named it Mu Mu. To me Mu Mu was my best friend and greatest companion.
My father felt guilt and sent a deathly sick maiden to the King of Huai instead. He cut off the agreement and became the best father.
When I reached sixteen I graduated from Eather College top of my class and set in motion new boundaries of magic studies. I posses a talent for Eather magic that rivals both my parents. My life calls too much attention and a
the blasted prophecy lands me in the eyes of the Nether born's Crown Prince.
I have many suitors but my mother had paved a path into my father's world that should their first born be a daughter that I should get a chance to succeed my father's throne. As the idea was in my father's mind he decided I needed an extraordinary husband to be on par with me.
The first time I met the Crown Prince of Great Chu Tuoba He Zhen I was on a "secret mission" which was just a disguised period of time allocated for me to enjoy time in the martial world, as it was time to live in my swordsman life and the empire was told I was going to go into prolonged "seclusion".
I was known in the martial arts circle as the Flower Immortal Hai Ming. I was nicknamed the Flower Immortal because of many times many witnesses would say I would leave a floral sent wherever I went. Even the area where I'd compete would smell sweet like a bouquet of fruitful flowers. The scent would follow me and thus they believed I was a flower immortal disguised as a human.
There was a slight problem with them calling me Immortal as it got to my head that I could be Immortal. I began to believe that I am Immortal until proven mortal.
Even though I am Eather born, it doesn't make me forget that I too may and will die but combined with my martial skills it makes it easier to forget about my mortality.
I ran into the Crown Prince who was also in disguise as someone else. He was dressed in fine garments and called young master Wu Koe saying he was the son of wealthy merchant Wu Ruan. When I fought a few thugs who had tried to rob the inn keeper of the inn I was staying I protected the inn keeper.
There were more than twenty thugs bow but the initial attackers were just seven thugs. It was odd as more spilled into the scene. I had great skill but against many people I wasn't truly matched. The thugs all attacked and I got side swiped.
I was sent flying through the door of the tea shop opposite the inn. I crashed into the Crown Prince who caught me in one smooth turn and steadied me in the next. Our eyes met and the pieces of our fate began to fall into place. I was taken in by his eyes that looked like the deep pools of a steady pond reflecting the blue of the sky and the green of lotus flowers leaves.
The Crown Prince tightened his grip as he felt me begin to pull away. He pulled my light brown hair away from neck and placed a kiss on my neck. Astonished I kneed him in the groin and escaped his grasp returning to the original fight.
I was wearing light blue clothes with a white cape that casted an impressive shadow as I leaped using a small amount of magic and used my jade hilted sword to kill one of the thugs holding the poor inn keeper.
I didn't enjoy killing and didn't want to kill any of the other thugs. When the inn keeper was free again they fled and upon realizing I had injured most of them and killed one of their own, so did the remaining thugs.
