My fingers are numb and so are my legs. My pounding heart bangs into my ear, my lungs pulling in the fresh air, yet my eyes feel sewn shut. The crack of blinding light enters through and my eyes burn upon the ceiling lights. The feeling of my chest pulls me out. I'm here, back on earth, back on the ground. I can feel myself relieving the pressure within me. I wake up to nurses around me, my swollen head. I face the person to my left and he says,
"You've caused trauma to your brain after your accident, but good news for you it'll get better if you care for yourself,"
"Okay?"
"That's not good kid, do you feel like you remember everything?"
"I think so, my name is still Leroy right?"
"Yes, but back to the question, do you?"
"Um… my an ex, or someone like that,"
"Okay, what about your family? Can you please tell me their names?"
"Okay, um… William, Richard, Melinda, and Koda the dog, I think that's all?"
"Anyone else?"
"Im not exactly sure at this moment,"
"I guess my talk with you is finished, there someone outside for you, he's the guy that brought you in,"
I swear as soon as he walked in, my heart now felt that I had missed something.
