~ Ash and Mason both seem to snicker a half-grin. Their expressions were sorta uncomforting, I felt.
"Calm down, Sally." Ash said more soothingly, "we know you haven't tried to run. The men patrolling from inside the mansion informed Cory and the Primaries of your whereabouts."
"Then why has there been a request to find me?" I asked bewilder.
"Cory has arrived back home and he wants to spend time with you. He requested us to find you and bring you to him once we did." Mason answered.
I nodded and began to follow them out where they take me through different rooms. Now I noticed the mansion was louder. We ran into many teen boys mostly goofing off.
We came to a right turn that leads us into this huge living room with a wall window. It has two large couches across from each other. Suddenly, I recognized the three ladies sitting on the right couch with a man holding the woman with darker blonde hair. She was the same woman who laughed at me earlier. The other two ladies were ones that didn't laugh but remained quiet.
Already I noticed the ladies ignored my existence. Ash took a seat in the middle and wrapped his arm around the woman sitting in the middle. Manson flopped a seat by the woman sorta at the end and wrapped his arms around her too.
Cory was on the left couch at the end nearby the window and Aaron was seating in a comfortable chair diagonal from him. Jay was standing around the window from behind Aaron. Then Nick was at the bar behind the couch Cory sat on. I didn't wanna go in and chilled near the doorway.
"We found her for you," Ash informed Cory. "Took some time but we got her."
"Thanks, guys," Cory told his men.
They sorta nodded and got cozy with their wives on the couch. I spotted the rings on their fingers so I knew they were married. Of course, this made me feel embarrassed to think I thought their husbands were attractive.
"Sally, come here and take a seat beside," Çory's voice snatches me from my thoughts.
I realized the men were staring at me in the doorway. Cory gave me that adamant look to tell me if I didn't. Then he'll likely stand up and make me without a given choice. So I took a breath and walked over to take a seat. At the arm of the couch next to Cory. Aaron was about three feet from me in the chair.
"Sally, I like for you to meet Justin and his wife Miranda. Then you meet Ash a few times but this is his wife Selena. Then beside her is Mason's wife Lucy. Ladies this is Sally I expect you all to welcome her." Cory said with a stern look at the ladies across from us.
I caught Miranda holding back the urge to roll her eyes. But I noticed Selena and Lucy seemed to give a slight gesture. After that, they didn't bother to look at me. This made me feel like I was on the spot. So I chose to keep to myself.
Unlike Miranda, Selena, and Lucy did peek at me again with unsureness. I couldn't explain their expression. It was hard to say if that felt pity for me or uncertainty.
But it gave me a chance to see Selena had a round-circular-diamond face, golden blonde sunny wavey yet straight thick long type hair, full lips, small nose, and deep-set hazel eyes.
Lucy looked like a queen written out of a fairytale storybook. She has a heart face, light blonde long hair, green-gray almond-shaped eyes, sharp lips, and a petite nose. They were both so beautiful and seemed less snobby compared to Miranda. Miranda was rude, I couldn't even look at her or Justin across Cory and me.
Feeling this tension between the ladies. "Well, training went pretty good I'd say." Jay randomly said to lighten up the mood between the women.
"It wasn't bad." Replied Cory.
Nick commented getting my attention from behind him. "Well, Sally it was nice to hear you didn't run away today. It saved my men the stress of tracking you down."
Cory just chuckles at his remark. "Did you have a good day today?" He asked me giving a gentle eye.
"It's been kinda boring. I didn't know what to do and Maria hasn't been around." I admitted truthfully.
Cory understood she had a semi-rough day and seemed lonely when he checked in on her. So he felt bad to hear this report from his men patrolling.
"Maria's still with her family. She should be back today." Cory said to tell me.
"It will be tomorrow," Jay said jumping into the conversation. "John told me, he and Jake are staying here. He's still avoiding her."
Cory asked, "why is that?"
"She's not too happy with him remember." Jay replied, "John said he's giving her space for the moment."
"Oh, it's still that," Cory stated.
"I heard that one. She'll be fine once she calms down." Aaron commented.
"Sounds like Maria and John need a vacation. What do you think there, Cory?" Nick threw it out there for Cory to hear.
Cory laughed and said. "I know what you're trying to do. I've said will take one but I'm not sure when."
Justin said çhuckling still cuddled with Miranda. "Now that would be nice. Even better without kids."
Cory said chuckling. "Where Mike wants to go. It isn't family appropriate. It's something just for the single or married couples."
"Perfect," said Justin.
"So what do you say, Sally?" Aaron randomly asked. "I bet you're the only one that could talk Cory into picking a day faster compared to us."
"I've never been on one," I commented to realize that.
See now Cory, more reasons to go soon." Replied Aaron, "you are newly engaged. You should be having some alone time together."
Now I wasn't sure how I feel about this one while Cory smirked. "Didn't I say no using Sally on me." Cory chuckled.
Jay laughed and added. "Yeah, you've known this was coming. I think Mike and Matt will be the worst ones."
Everyone except for the women laughed.
Cory said chuckling. "Yeah, I know they're going to have too much fun with it."
"You got yourself a Royal beauty. I don't think any single man could tell her no. I can't see how you could say no to her." Nick said smirking.
Now I noticed Miranda was getting extremely annoyed. It made me wish these guys would stop harassing Cory about me being his bride. None of the women seemed to appreciate it. I mean honestly, are these guys that blind not to realize this?
The conversation was out of my control so did the next best thing and avoided glimpsing at them. I just hope I can leave soon. Sadly, I didn't feel comfortable enough to inform Cory about the women mistreating me. It could make the situation worst.
Suddenly, Cory stood up and reached for my hand saying to me. "I'd like to take a walk with you outside."
I didn't stall and took his hand fast. Which caused Cory to smirk at me. But I don't feel he realized I wanted out of here and away from these ladies.
"My fiance and I are going outside. So you know where I'll be." Cory told his men.
Aaron said smirking, "enjoy your walk."
