~ Amelia walked off answering the phone, leaving me unsupervised. At first, I looked around awkwardly for a second, kinda in disbelief if this had just happened. Until a mischievous grin formed in my eyes and curled on my lips.
I felt like a silly cartoon character rubbing her hands evilly together before doing something mischief. Meanwhile, that's exactly what I was going to do, and stood up off the swing. To take advantage of this opportunity to maneuver my escape plan.
After checking my surroundings to see nobody as I walked off the patio. I made my scramble down the garden paths and decked down anytime, I heard anybody walking by. It didn't matter if they were a harmless woman or child. I still avoided them from seeing me sneaking around. So I kept myself down alongside the bushes, fountains, statues, whatever I could use to hide around in the garden. While making my way to the right side. Where I remembered the roadway was located. It took me some time to swiftly move and seek myself along the trails without being seen.
But I finally made it to the right edge of the tall evenly trimmed hedge bushes. I cautiously trailed myself along with it and make sure nobody would catch me. As I peeked through gaps between each leaf to see that same gate right through them.
So I knew I was in the right direction. Now I only need to find an opening to slip myself in. I took a peek around from behind me again, checking if anyone was coming. But I didn't see anyone coming and continued looking for an opening.
As I heard my heart pounding loudly enough to throb in my ears. My chest felt heavy and tight, causing me to nervously pant. But finally, I found an opening just big enough to squeeze through between two bushes.
First, I peered around real good making sure things were still clear. Surprisingly enough, it was all good. So I kneeled some and crawled in. As the leaves and thin branches brushed across my body. A couple of them snapped and whipped into my upper thighs and torso. It stung some but I didn't care. I had a goal and I wasn't about to turn back.
After battling the thick bushes I made it to the gate and slipped myself between the gated bars. For the second time, from further down the roadway. My eyes meet the roadway and wander across to spot the thick woods ahead again.
Before just crossing over, I took in a breath to inhale the wind cooling my face. As that same breeze wrestled through the tall trees above me, from within the forest. Making the leaves dance and sang while the small birds chirp on the high branches. Soon I'll be free like those birds, I thought.
I go to take my first step out to start crossing the road. Hardly midway in the middle of the road, my step seized. Five men came out of the woods cutting me off my pathway. They slowly stepped directly in front of me.
As I held my shocked expressions from hanging my jaw open. I took a glance downward at sun rays glittering the asphalt. To see shadows moving from behind me. So I turned my head to see three men standing firm. And if that wasn't enough, I noticed on the roadway from left and right. Four more men from both directions are walking down to me. This was worst than getting your hand caught in a sugar jar!
A total of sixteen tall black-dressed, attractive yet dangerously appearing hybrid-men surrounded me. They crept right up on me without even realizing it!
I am outright busted! Now I probably won't be allowed outside for a long time. For sure, I'll probably be punished this time, I thought, terrified of the consequences.
"I think you might be a little lost, Sally." A man across from me said snickering.
I said nothing and only gave him a blank stare. Suddenly my wrists were both snatched by two men from behind. I tried to fight their hold but it was useless. They each held me firmly from squirming away.
"Time to return you to the mansion." Said the man holding my left wrist like a prisoner.
"Release me!" I spat but that was even useless when I tried yanking my arms. "Let go of me you heathens!" Nothing fazed them.
Without choice, both men hauled me up the road. Up to the open gate entrance. They kept me grasped like a prisoner who had been caught escaping my jail cell. Their strange silence only made me feel timid nearing the mansion.
Two older generation men held the Mansion's two front doors open for us. My guess is the two older men were Cory's Dad's men. Since I found out this isn't Cory's Mansion. Both older men wore black suits and didn't show a small glimpse of a smile or frown.
When we stepped inside the Mansion's first entry. My heart sinks into the pit of my stomach. To see Jay was standing there with his arms crossed. Next to him was John and a few other men I didn't even know. Gosh, Cory has more men working for him from what I was thinking.
The two men handed me off to Jay, gently pushing me directly forward to face him.
"Welcome back beautiful." Said Jay like he was taunting me. He veered his eyes at the men who brought me back. "Good eyes gentleman," He said smirking. Both Highest Rankers nodded at their Primary boss and went back to their post.
From here Jay grabbed my wrist and before I knew what happened. I was taken right back to Cory's room.

Inside Cory's room, "I don't get why are you trying to leave? The dark phase is starting tonight. You will be very cold tonight." Jay lectured.
As I was standing in front of the bed, "I wasn't trying to leave! I was just curious." I said trying to protest my lie.
Standing across from the hall. "Curious enough to cross the road on the other side of the gate?" Jay raised his eyebrow at me asking.
I had nothing to say since I am no doubt busted. He wasn't buying my partial lie. I shift my eyes away. At that moment, I heard the door down the hall screech. Cory entered his room scolding his eyes my way. Yup! I'm dead, I visualized!
