She slowly walked up to the center of the room, going to the whiteboard and writing her name down.
"I'm Kurumi Tokisaki, and I'm seventeen. I'm also a spirit." Everyone went silent, a mixture of confusion and fear in their eyes. She curtsied. "I hope we could be the best of friends!"
Everyone clapped, and the teacher, Mrs.Okamine stood up from her desk. "Well class, what an....interesting transfer student we have! Mrs. Tokisaki, you may pick where you would like to seat yourself."
She nodded in thanks, looking up and down every row, and started to walk down the aisle where I was sitting, placing herself down right next to me with a smile. I raised my hand, a plan formulating in my head of what to do.
"Mrs.Okamine? Seeing as Mrs. Tokisaki is new here, may I show her around the school? I would really hate if she got lost on her first day."
The teacher smiled and nodded, and I stood up, packing my stationary into my bag and smiling, holding a kind hand out to Kurumi, which she took, propelling herself upwards into a standing position. We walked out, our shoes clacking against the well waxed floor like the clicks of an antique clock. As we walked, I pointed out all of the interesting points in the school, making witty jokes and flirting. She seemed to be enjoying herself, laughing at even the simplest joke, and blushing very deeply to my compliments. Some girls we passed gave Kurumi a pure death stare, wishing that I could be this for them. But it was for a transfer student girlfriend. I wanted my memories back, and Kurumi, or Nightmare could give them back on a silver platter. When we got to the second floor, she slipped past me, zooming all the way up the stairs, giggling all the while.
"Hey, you've been so kind to me today! I really do love hanging out with you. But Koharu, darling, let's have a chat. I won't try and sugarcoat this with unnecessary babble. Your a spirit like me, aren't you? Don't deny it. I can feel your delicious energy radiating from you~"
I shook my head, erasing the shock from my face, and replacing it with a face of stone cold calculation. "Hello there! Nightmare, I have a favor to ask of you, and I don't want to fight." She scoffed as I said that, raising my hand, a green ripple appearing into the air, making it shimmer and distort as tattoos appeared on my arms, glowing an emerald green as my power flew throughout me.
She smirked, her point proven."I've been looking for you darling. I see it in your eyes. The power of the Gatekeeper. And I want it. I want to claim the power of the Gates....so I can finally do it..."
She raised her hand, the school uniform turning into a black and crimson dress, a short barreled musket appearing in her hand
"You see Koharu darling, I want you to be mine, and mine alone."
I chuckled softly, realizing how absurd it was to actually see a yandere. Clenching my fists tightly, I smiled, a green glow flowing from my body in slow waves, moving around me as if to shield. It felt as if I was close to something, almost like a lock, that I had the key for. Kurumi put the gun to her head, smiling maniacally and giggling.
"Little Koharu, come to me.... Let me love you!" She laughed again, a cold, cruel sound. "Zaphkiel, Aleph"
A giant clock manifested behind her, the hand turning to one, as she pulled the trigger, but she didn't fall. She stood there, her smile widening into a disturbing grin. I couldn't help it. I had to do it. If she wouldn't give me what I wanted...she was my enemy. And she will be defeated. I raised both my hands, a ripple in the air appearing at both hands, shining with every color in the spectrum.
My aura unraveled around me uncontrollably."Shin'nen! Hear my call, and give me your strength! First Gate, Open!"
Kurumi's smile turned into a snarl, displeased with the resistance, and scared. Scared of the raw mana I was mass producing. I smirked, as the multi colored light enveloped my hands, tracing up, armor appearing where it was. As it got nearer to my face, I stretched out a little, my hands turning into claws of multicolored energy and light, and fusing with me. Her energy will be mine.
"I hope you'll like the taste of a crispy can of whoop ass." The energy enveloped my face creating a mask.
"Watch this, Kurumi."
I lifted my arms, smirking as magic seals glowed, and I screamed in pain and rage, mana fusing and showing, bones splitting and growing into another set of arms, but instead of skin, there was magic, multicolored and pure.
"I'll get you soon little Koharu. I know your truth. I know the one you fight for." She smiled again, dissipating into the shadows.
I roared an unholy roar, the now multicolored aura around me exploding out as tendrils and arrows, ripping through the building as if it were just paper, puny and insolent. How dare she leave without MY permission. SHE WILL PAY.
EEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I tilted my head, trying to remember what that familiar noise was. Something about an alarm.... A SPATIAL QUAKE ALARM! I tried calming my aura, as the armor on my body disappeared into mist, shards of every color flying into the air. I blinked, trying to clear the ever thickening mist out of my eyes, when I felt and aura of love, true, unconditional love, and heard a sweet, soft voice call to me. This feeling....this love...could it be?!
"Remember. It is time to reclaim your heritage my darling. Remember me my love."
