The USSO didn't take too long to deliver what Ray wanted, but for Ray who constantly had his life on the line until he finished this mission, this wait was seriously too fucking long!
Luckily, the package from the USSO arrived in twenty minutes. Instead of the usual route of delivery through mail service and stuff like that, a large gray long-billed stork delivered the package. It held the brown box within a carrier in its beak. When Ray checked the monster's status it was as follows.
[Name: Delivery Stork
Race: Stork
Level: 5
HP: 30/30
MP: 5/5
STR: 1
AGI: 7
INT: 2 (Good enough to follow basic instructions)
END: 3
Abilities: Delivery god wings.
Remark: Best monster for sending and delivering items, it has high speed and powerful endurance used to withstand the winds whip when in fast flight.]
What would be your reaction when you find out that a monster with the barest attack power had endurance that was stronger than yours, you would curse and blame yourself. But Ray had no time for such, so he just collected the package and sent the bird off.
He opened the package and saw what he had asked for perfectly safe in bags and small plastic bottles labelled properly.
"Haha, finally. Let's get started on my master plan shall we?!"
Ray opened his computer and looked at the email which was just lying there waiting for him to explore. He opened the email and checked the contents, revealing the most dangerous criminals the US had ever since the Dark Aristocrat's arrival.
"Harvey the Reaper. A fifty year old middle-aged man with greying hair at the tips and dull black eyes. This man is characterized by a scar that stretches from the top of his head down to his chin. This scar is situated on the left part of his face and has essentially destroyed it.
Harvey the Reaper is a serial killer who went on a killing spree the moment he received his powers. His victims include over 500 F-rank humans, 260 D-rank humans and 54 B-rank humans. His ability has been identified to be "Blade Control" and he is currently identified as an A terrorist with one of the earliest identified A-rank abilities."
Ray read out several of the criminal's profiles and scoffed in disgust at the evil acts these people had committed, forgetting that he himself unintentionally killed ten people just a few hours ago.
When he finished going through the criminal profiles of these people, he opened up the Store on the system.
The store still had extravagant prices as always, but today, Ray was ready to spend all he could to preserve his life.
He located what he was looking for on the Magics part of the store, that was where he bought his second and third type of magic; Sympathetic and Craftsmanship magic.
Sympathetic magic cost 1000 SP, immediately taking away 1000 out of his 5000 SP, craftsmanship magic cost a little lower due to the limited uses it had, priced at 650 SP.
Sympathy followed the Law of Similarity and Law of Contact, which proved very dangerous when used at the same time, this was also part of Ray's ploy to earn more EXP in a moral way.
A large flood of information engulfed Ray's mind when he bought the two types of magic, all sorts of miscellaneous knowledge flooded his mind and almost gave way to madness if not for his high intelligence stat.
"Whew, now let's get started on this little project of mine."
Ray took a look at the first skill under craftsmanship magic and found that it was just what he needed.
Fabric figure creation.
In any field of work one might do, there was no skipping the basics, and this just happened to be the most basic skill in craftsmanship magic.
"Shit, I have nothing to work with!"
It was only at the most crucial moment that Ray realized he had no tool or equipment to work with. This was a problem, and he had less than four hours, he couldn't use half the time searching for sewing equipment in this godforsaken slum.
"Sigh, this thing is gonna milk me dry. All the hard-earned SP I got will be gone at the rate I'm spending it.'
Ray picked the last option and sought to see whether there were any sewing tools of the sort in them, and surprise surprise, there was! At this point, Ray got tired of acting as if he didn't know what the system was doing.
"Hmm, Fairy Cotton (different colour set) and Death ore needles and Red yarn of fate..."
Ray stopped reading at the end of the tools and smiled sarcastically at the wonderful coincidence, the remark below the items made it more outrageous than it already was.
"... Top quality items recommended if one wants to get best results in a sympathetic binding."
Ray was in too much of a rush to check the price and just clicked buy. How unfortunate that he didn't notice the 2000 SP being deducted from his available points.
. . .
Ray spent an hour trying to find his way around the tricks of sewing and finally got the desired results. Thirty-three plush-filled effigies lined up in a row on the floor, matching the criminal profiles showcased n his laptop.
"Hmm, now for the final touches!"
With that Ray carefully plucked a hole in the heads of each doll using the Death Ore needles and passed Red threads of fate through these holes, attached to these threads were the hairs of thirty-three criminals.
With a few more touches of his hand, the threads were hidden from sight and only the hair could be seen, seemingly sticking out of the heads of these effigies.
He picked up the first doll in line and saw that it was also the first criminal profile he read; Harvey the Reaper. Ray had perfectly simulated every visible feature Harvey had, not even missing tiny details like the pimples on his face.
"Time to test it out!"
Ray carried out his first test by carving out the words; 'Machine Lord' on the doll's chest. This would be the best way to see whether anything would happen when he turned the news on the next day, and as for the second test. He slit the throat of the effigy using a knife gotten from his kitchen.
He looked at the notification bar on the system menu and eagerly awaited news of EXP.
