Because of enormous hunger,
We couldn't help ourselves any longer,
And even though our mouths are shut,
Our stomach grumbled quite a lot.
We looked at each other quite sorrowfully,
Knowing that they might see us immediately,
And while crawling backwards, afraid to make a sound,
Someone called us, the moment we turned around.
"I know you're up there, come join us for food,"
A kind voice spoke, but was it really good?
I looked and saw, an angel looking face,
I smiled and believed him, thanked God's ever-loving grace.
Is he the angel that I see in my dreams?
I couldn't tell, because he looks more human now, so it seems,
He gestured with his hand, a table full of food,
I feel even more enticed, or as any humans would.
Eventually Stacy saw her brother, at the back eating to his own content,
She felt relieve and less tensed, the longer she looked at him,
And after making sure that this people, or are they? are quite kind and such,
I informed the others to eat,
For surely this place has a lot to munch.
The first thing we did, was grab everything we could,
The kid beside me, Tom, was wildly feasting and almost crying,
I thanked the heavens, although confused, as to where they got this many,
However, my thoughts broke down, when I smelled the lovely scent of honey.
Thinking is for later, as I can't think any longer,
The food that are present, is what fills my senses,
And as I grab and munch and chew,
I forgot immediately, what we must do.
I haven't paid much attention to the unusual looking people,
But their hair are all white, and their eyes are golden yellow,
They look a bit identical, if not already to each other,
I know it's odd, but knowing who they are is not what I'm currently after.
They have been kind, accommodating, and have made sure the walls are sturdy,
They told us to rest, to sleep, as they will guard us from the enemy,
We were tired, sleep deprived, that we did so immediately,
And me, assured by their kindness, paid no mind to any treachery.
The next days were the same, there was a feast, there was water,
And us, even though confused, took a bite out of hunger,
Mar looked at the food, quite unsure, even sniffed it before a bite,
The others did the same, afraid that we'd all die tonight.
The weird looking people laughed,
And told us not to worry,
They were Angels appointed by God,
To look after us, then they said sorry.
"If we scared you, we apologize,
But you know for sure,
That angels are nice,
We'll provide you food, and all you need,
We'll save you as well,
From all demise,"
One of them said confidently,
While handing us milk and butter and tea,
And we eventually felt relieved,
Though some still amazed,
As to how we are now in front,
Of a real angel, written in the old days.
Tom, as an ever playful kid, asked the angel,
"What does heaven look like? Can you have wings like eagles?"
The one near him only nodded, then carried the little boy,
"You seem like a nice kid, do you want a little toy?"
The kid clapped his hands,
And his eyes sparked with joy,
He carried him to a room,
And gave him all the precious toys.
And while I am contented, eating,
I overheard some people plotting,
Asking for things that they wanted,
Rather than what they needed.
And that moment I feared so much,
What if their greed becomes like Mida's touch?
What if the angels curse them after those words?
I must stop them, or danger would go forth.
So I talked to them, and some of them complained,
Though half still agreed, that we shouldn't ask for much,
And as we were talking, the angels overheard,
"Do you like your wish to come true? Walk nearer, and speak your words,"
They froze and I do too,
Were those smile of kindness?
Or were they about to make some madness?
My heart beat faster, as I pray that they won't get angry,
Paprika stepped forward,
"I want a whole bed for me completely,"
In a blink of an eye, the angel snapped his finger,
And like magic a whole new bed appeared,
She was in joy and thanked the creature,
As she walked to her room,
So it was no venture?
The others made a wish as well,
And they, with no worries complied,
They looked happy, and cared for us all,
Now I wonder if they could do this, why can't they remove the zombies at all?
That night I couldn't sleep, and I kept watching my people,
The angels were on the other room,
and there was no sound at all,
And so the night, even though full I feel uneasy,
As what if behind those sweet kind mask,
They were the unsuspected enemy?
