Rita Kane, a tall and beautiful lady in her early thirties sat calmly on the 14th floor of the Royal Grande Hotel. Wife of one of the richest tycoons in Florida, she has never been worried about anything in a long time but today she felt differently.
In the past few days, Rita did not go back home to her husband because of the argument that ensued between them. Dominic Kane her husband had come home to announce that he was going to search for his daughter and bring her home. Why now?
Ever since his wife died his daughter had rejected anything that her father offered. Rita liked the fact that the girl hated her father.
Her mother left Don when she found out that he was involved in shady deals. She had confronted him to maintain his legitimate chains of business but Don had no plans of stopping now. Ten years after she left Don married Rita. Cleo his deceased wife, developed an ailment which was diagnosed to be leukemia. She refused all his offerings to take care of her medical bills, shortly after four months she died and left their daughter. Just like her mother, the daughter doesn't want to have anything to do with her dad.
Rita has always liked that the wife and daughter kept away, she does not want anybody contesting Don's conglomerate with her.
Unfortunately, he had found out about her involvement with another man and had accused her of cheating on him a few days before their fight. Could it be that his decision has anything to do with her affairs? She thought as she walked to the mirror in her luxurious suite.
She looked at the exquisite and classy hotel room where she had stayed for about four days now. Don had great taste in architecture and interior decoration. He made sure his hotels had a tasteful and classy touch. The cool breeze made the fine soft curtains dance around revealing a little of the porch. The fragrance the room exuded was so cool and refreshing you would think the air was edible.
Rita looked at herself on the mirror and neatly tucked her loosed hair behind her ears. What is Don up to? She had slipped up and he had heard of her involvement with another man. Not a man but a handsome young man she reiterated as a cute smile escaped her lips.
Don has eyes and ears everywhere. She always picked locations where she knew that he had little or no control as a meeting point with her heartthrob, but it still beats her how he got to know. She however denied the accusation, having discovered that whoever gave him the Intel didn't know who she was with. His life is in danger, she knows Don will catch up with them sooner or later. It is best they keep away from each other for a while.
She walked back to the bedroom area, grabbed her phone from the bed, and walked out to the porch. She had dialed his number earlier and he sounded terrified. Have they gotten to him so soon? The event of last night was so horrifying, if they had caught him he would have been a dead man by now. He would go missing and after a few days nobody would remember what happened.

Cash stood beside the river bank with his eye pinned on his fishing line, he had released the line a bit and held his fishing rod firmly. He loved fishing but he still had a fidgeting composure around the whole thing. Maybe someday he will find his way around it.
The weather was very good for fishing and he had not caught anything yet, was he jinxed?
"Boss you have a call." One of his boys announced as he tried to hand the phone over.
"Who is on the line?" Cash asked not removing his eyes from the float attached to the fishing line.
"It's Bill, Boss." The well-built guy answered.
"Take the rod and hand over the phone." Cash said, grabbing a beer from the cooler beside him as he walked a few distance from where he had been fishing.
The tall trees and greenery gave the environment a natural and fresh feel. He had come here to hide from the law after a detective was killed on his property 6 months ago. He runs all his deals and transactions from this cabin and he liked the vacation. The best way to interpret his present condition was to term it a vacation, he misses the chaotic city and the countless nights of loud music and women.
He pauses before a hug tree before raising the phone to his ears. "Speak." Cash spoke into the mouthpiece.
"Boss, all shipments arrived and have been accounted for." The voice from the other end announced.
"What is their status right now?" Cash asked.
"They are on their way to the five locations," Bill answered.
"Keep me posted if anything unusual crops up." Cash said and ended the call.
He has kept his activities running without being physically present, but his investors are still a little skeptical. Cash has a reputation for making sure that no matter what happens business must pull through. With him in hiding they are gradually losing confidence in his expertise. It's been 6months and all shipments so far have not experienced any form of delay nor have the status quo changed from the usual. Why are they losing confidence in him? He asked himself as he turned and walked towards the cabin.

"Why didn't you tell him?" Bob asked Bill.
"There was no need, the shipments are on their way," Bill answered trying to get away from Bob.
"You still should have told him, there are cops everywhere and he needs to know." Bob insisted.
"The Boss has a lot on his plate right now, let's not add to it," Bill said with finality.
"This is on you, don't forget that," Bob said and turned away from Bod. He asked the barman for scotch.
Bill looked at the bracelet on his wrist, this should be very expensive he thought.

The silence was loud and Jason was beginning to enjoy the moment. The question knocked Daniel off and he wondered why.
"Were you killing the young lady at that time, Mr. Grey?" Sera asked to encourage a defense.
"No way! I am not a murderer." Daniel shouted as he rose from his seat again. But he didn't wait to be asked to sit down, he sat back into his seat.
The two detectives look at the difficulty in the face of the COO of TW dockyard. What was he hiding? Who was he protecting? Jason asked himself.
"I was meeting a friend outside town," Daniel said raising his head to meet Sera's stare.
He couldn't hide it anymore. One way or the other he was doomed and he would rather exonerate himself than be doomed by murder.
"Who were you meeting outside town and where exactly is outside town?" Jason asked as he flipped his notepad to scribble the information they were about to gather.
"I was meeting with Rita, Rita Kane at Citrus Park," Daniel said not fidgeting like he had been.
"Don Kane's Wife?" Jason turned to look at Sera and back to Daniel. "Do you have her number we would like to verify this claim?" Jason concluded as he took down the numbers.
"Please we might need to ask you a few more questions so don't leave town. Thank you for your time." Sera said and both detectives walked towards the door.
Daniel was relieved when he saw the detectives get up and head for the door. He needed a strong spirit to calm his nerves. But his joy was cut short.
Jason paused for a few seconds and turned to look at Daniel. He flipped his notepad to previous notes he had taken earlier.
"One more question Mr. Grey, why was there no security in the entire premises during the period you were out of town?"
Daniel froze and with his mouth agape, the question had bashed a fatal blow to his brain and for a few moments he blanked out.
"It was totally my fault, we have an agreement with the security agency that if their pay cheque was delayed for more than 5 working days they will withdraw their officers on duty at our facility," Daniel answered as he placed both hands on the desk in front of him.
"Being that there is a body in your backyard, I need to know, how does a big venture of one of the richest men in Florida owe her security agency?" Jason asked Daniel.
"Actually it was my fault, I have a lousy secretary she failed to remind me that I need to get approvals from the board to pay for security and we push such requests every Monday, if, for any reason we fail to present that request, we will have to wait for another Monday," Daniel said. "Recently we have not had any security breach around here so our schedule is that flexible." He concluded.
"So, you are saying this has happened before?" Sera asked.
"Yes, it has, Ma'am," Daniel asked.
"Can we have the schedule of payment for security in the past 6 months?" Jason asked "We will need to verify that it indeed has happened so it doesn't look like a ploy to evade murder." Jason concluded smiling sarcastically at Daniel who just turned pale again.
"If I could have your email, I would be delighted to assist your investigation," Daniel answered trying to remain as calm as he could.
Jason pulled out his card from inside his jacket and handed it to Daniel. "Do enjoy your day."
The detectives worked out of the glass box and headed towards the elevator on the far side.
"He will go for the bottle of vodka on his shelf." Jason told Sera.
"If he doesn't, lunch is on you," Sera replied and they both turned to look at Daniel through the transparent glass box. The young man was gulping the vodka from the bottle.
"You are buying," Jason said as they both resumed their journey through the civilian ants.
Jason's phone vibrated from his jacket pocket, he took it out and received the call.
"This is Inspector Fin, there is a development at the crime scene, and you might want to see this."
