'That certainly was fun' Olivia laughed 'Haven't been in a fight inna long time'
'Weren't you in a fight the other day?' Diego raised a brow. Olivia shrugged, taking her beanie of and running a hand through her chocolate brown locks.
'True, but that doesn't count' Diego shook his head, hands stuffed in his pockets, swinging on the balls of his feet.
'So, crazy' He glanced at Erin, who was sitting on the curb 'What do we do now?' Erin paused, thinking for a moment. 'I'm not entirely sure Diego' She twirled the laces of her black converses in her hand 'Run I guess?' It sounded more like a question to Diego. 'You're meant to be the leader of this operation, lead us!' 'Hey! Don't yell at me Diego' She sneered 'I got you out of that shit hole, you could at least thank me' Diego scoffed 'Thank you? It was Lily's plan in the first place' Lily stepped forward 'Don't bring me into this' 'SHUT UP!'
A silence spread across them, so quiet they released the wind has kicked up and rain dripped form the sky, drenching them. Rhyan stood in the middle of them, arms stretched out, holding them back 'You're acting like children' Erin crossed her arms, leaning all of her weight on her left foot. She gave Rhyan a look so sharp it could cut paper 'You know what' She pulled of her hat, that still managed to stay on her head, threw it and Diego 'I'm out' By this time with was early in the morning, so early even the rosters would be sleeping, so walking into darkness was something she had to do. She didn't care, the only thing she wanted was peace and quiet.
'Erin!' She sighed, peace and quiet would have to wait. Before she knew Rhyan came jogging around the corner, becoming more and more visible due to the street light she was standing under. 'Thank god I caught up to you' He hunched over, hands placed on his knees and breathing heavily. It was only then that she realised how far she had truly gotten.
'What do you want Rhyan' It had started pouring down with rain now, so she wasn't in the mood to talk, especially after the Diego incident. Rhyan stood up, coming face to face with her. A strange look on his face. The kind of look you give someone before you break bad news. Erin knew that look before, but before she could speak his eyes drifted to behind her. 'Rhyan?' 'Huh? Oh, sorry' 'Walk with me wont you?' She smiled 'Plus, it's raining and were already soaked' He nodded.
They walked for a while, no words were spoken. Rain poured down among them, they were cold and wet.
'Erin!' the sound of her mother's voice rang through the air. She'd been playing outside quite a lot lately. Reading at the base of the willow tree the young girl looked up from her book. 'Yes?' Her mother stood on the front porch, plate of fruit in hand. 'Thanks mom' The small girl placed her book mark on her page and put the book down. 'Thought you might be hungry, seeing as you've been out here for a while' Her mother smiled. The girl picked up a sliced piece of apple, plopping it into her mouth. Her mother turned and made her way back into the house.
'Hey' Rhyan pumped his elbow into her side 'You've been spacing out for the past few minutes' 'Uh, sorry I didn't realise' Rhyan laughed, it sounded strained and cold, probably the weather. 'There's a clothing shop over there, lets get some dry clothes' He pointed across the street Dick's clothing written in red paint on the windows. It looked shaggy, broken down and abandoned though still working. 'Sure' They walked across the road, looking into the windows. Erin's hand grasped the door handle, turning it slowly.
