"Stellan!" I yelled, knowing I was alone in the Inbetween. I looked down and I was myself again. My twenty-one-year-old self. "Stellan! Where are you?"
I sighed, imagining an overstuffed chair with a large footstool and sat down, prepared to wait... when Stellan walked in.
He smirked, gesturing to my reclining posture. "So, taking it easy, huh?"
I shrugged. "Sure. Why not?" I wasn't sure if I deserved it, but it felt good to have a moment back in my own body... consciousness... or whatever you wanted to call it. I folded my hands and tilted my head to the side. "So, what took you so long?"
A small smile lifted his lips, showing a dimple on his cheek.
"Wait...."
He raised his eyebrows, giving me an innocent look. "What?"
I shook my head, pushing the fleeting thought from my mind. It was ridiculous, after all. "So, did my parents and Colt live?"
