As I opened my eyes, I was greeted with a familiar forest, and also with Angela leaving me in the dust like she was the only one who went into the dungeon. I immediately dashed forward, trying to catch up to her. She was completely immersed in the interface of the system was given inside the dungeon, so I decided to go on ahead to her home.
I also noticed while running through the forest that there weren't as many monsters as before the dungeon appeared. Maybe the 'DRA' cleaned out the forest for safe passage or something?
After I reached the house, I noticed David wasn't inside, which meant he was probably in the field, so I went into the spare room. I lay down on the bed as soon as I got into the room.
"System, instead of asking if I want to acquire the ability that's on an Ability Card, can you just transfer any future cards I come in contact with inside my inventory?" Because there was no feature or settings window for customizing the system settings or whatever, I had to ask the system to do certain things at times.
"Oh, wait, let me check the information for this bracelet that dropped from the boss." I had completely forgotten about the bracelet while running back to the house. Since I can't see the names of items, I just looked at the bracelet and said.
"Inspect?" Sure enough, a blue window soon popped up revealing the information about this mysterious bracelet. After reading the information, I was less surprised than I thought I would be, but either way, it explained the reason for the aura around it.
Bracelet of Carnage: An item that is rarely dropped from a boss monster. This item is a physical manifestation of the boss's leftover resentment, so whoever killed it must've seriously wronged it as it died. This item gives the wearer a temporary boost in strength proportional to the rank of the boss it came from. This item also severely weakens the wearer's mind, making them more liable to go insane or crazy. Strength Increase +15%, Duration 10 seconds, Cooldown 2 minutes.
After reading the information about the bracelet I started feeling bad for the [BOSS] monster that Angela mutilated, now it all makes sense. 'I think that this item should go to its rightful owner, I don't want this cursed object,' I thought to myself before putting the bracelet in my inventory and walking out of the room and going behind the house.
'I know very well that I'm not one to mourn for deaths, but I don't think I'd wanna die the way that boss monster died, and now I kind of feel bad for not stopping it. I'm gonna make a pile of dirt in honor of that wronged boss monster!' Just as I was forming the little hill of dirt while shedding fake tears, Angela just happened to show up in the middle of it.
"Axel what are you doing playing in the dirt, you're not 5..." she said looking at me like I had a loose screw.
"Do you have a loose screw or something?" she said while taking a step back. It actually annoyed me how she managed to say those words without even hesitating.
"Me? Of all people, you think I'm the one with the loose screw? Do you know what you did to that boss monster?" I asked her in a halfheartedly serious tone while still forming the hill of dirt.
"You basically mutilated that boss monster, now I know that it's a monster but I don't think it would even do what you did to us!" I said with my arms around the pile of dirt like I was protecting a secret.
"What the..." Angela stared at me for a few seconds before something went flying towards my head at incredible speeds. And because I have the average level of defense for a level 50 something, and Angela has the not average level of strength, I tried to hurry and block whatever was coming at me, but it was all for naught.
*BONK*
Before I even knew what hit me, whatever hit me had already hit me and I didn't even know it, I was busy trying to figure out what exactly hit me, and now here I am lying in bed with a bump the size of an Ability Card on the top of my head. 'You know what, I'm gonna go tell her what's up!' I think it's time for me to man up, I don't know what I was thinking earlier.
Just as I opened the door, I saw Angela standing in front of the door. I had completely forgotten about the previous transgressions and sat down on the bed quietly. Instead of backing down, I only backed down physically onto the bed. I wasn't gonna falter, I was going to give her a piece of my mind!
"Here, you monster, this is the fruit of your labor!" I said as I took the bracelet from my inventory and handed it over to Angela.
"Cool! Where did you get this?" I bit my bottom lip and calmed myself down before I said another word. Can the universe itself please tell me why I had to rely on such a person for shelter?!
"Check the information for the bracelet," I responded, trying not to shout. After saying that, Angela stared at me for a few seconds before inspecting and reading the information for the bracelet. I don't even know what I was expecting at this point because instead of a look of guilt forming on her face, she started smiling.
"This bracelet is going to fit perfectly for me, you don't mind if I have this right?" she said as she stared intently at me with sparkling eyes. At this point, I just gave up, 'who cares if she mutilates another boss monster? Not me! It's their fault for being so hostile, not my problem.' I thought to myself while quietly leaving the room. After leaving the room I went back outside and started helping David with the farm.
"Oh, I know what I can do!" I exclaimed as I dropped an iron plow.
"Claim Rewards!" I said in excitement as I ran back into the house.
"What's up with him?"

As I heard saw the notification, 3 Ability Cards formed in my hands in a split second, it was truly a sight to see if I could see it happen. While staring at the cards, another notification popped up.

'Well, you just farted on all my excitement huh?' All my expectations for these 3 cards utterly disappeared as I saw two of the names. Why the heck would anyone want a skill that limits their mana?! You know what.
"Yes, I want to learn them all..." I said halfheartedly while hitting yes on the window.
