"Wow..." I said while staring in astonishment at the huge structure ahead of me. After looking at it, I could feel a slight headache which in a matter of seconds, turned into a massive head-splitting headache that forced me to fall on the ground disregarding the thorny vines mixed between the grass. The thorns punctured my arm and chest, but I ignored it as the headache I had as many times worse. But also during the headache, I could see a few memories unknown to me at first coming back. It showed a scene of a man with a swan white-colored lab coat on. The man was also standing in front of what seemed to be a portal. It also looked like the one in front of me, but somehow incredibly inferior.
It almost looked backward compared to the one ahead of me. I could also hear and feel Angela calling me, but I was too focused on the pain in my head. But after what felt like forever, the pain finally faded away.'Was...was that me?' I thought to myself while staring at Angela, while the System was also strangely nowhere to be found. After no more than a second, I passed out from the immense pain.
---2 hours later
"Why would you go on your own instead of telling me, what if something happened to you both? I mean all that happened was Axel having a headache, but what if something really serious happened?" David's voice said in an angered tone.
"But...I just wanted to go and see what caused such a loud noise!" Angela's voice retaliated in response.
Soon after, they both stared at me as I woke up. I looked around to see a few people walking around the house. This situation was incredibly unusual as these people also had suits on, and some with shiny armor and carrying gigantic and somewhat crude blades, while some carried slim blades that gave off a sharp and dignified aura. After I got up, Angela immediately started asking me questions.
"Axel are you okay, are you alright?" she impatiently questioned which was very unlike her. Everything about the current situation was unusual.
"I just had a very painful headache, that's all," I said while rubbing my eyes noticing some of the people walking around the house occasionally turned their heads to see where my voice was coming from, and then turning back around and going back to what they were doing.
"Ah, these people came from the 'DRA'. They came to investigate the case of a new dungeon appearance in the village." David said while pointing to a few of the people in suits walking around. This time, I knew what he was talking about as he taught from the basics of Dungeons to Dungeon Raiders yesterday. The 'DRA' aka the Dungeon Raiding Association was a sort of government for the Dungeon Raiders. David also added that once a human or any individual in the world kills a monster for the first time, they'll acquire a system that will help them grow stronger. This was the advantage that Dungeon Raiders and Hunters had.
Both Hunters and Dungeon Raiders grew stronger faster than normal people as they fought monsters all the time. The difference between Hunters and Dungeon Raiders is that even though they both fought monsters, Hunters naturally hunted High-Ranked and strong monsters that had escaped from their respective dungeons. The monsters in a dungeon can break free from dungeons if given the time. There was also never a shortage of High-Ranked and strong monsters due to the uncountable amount of dungeons in the world. And the dungeons had all started appearing about 1000 years ago. Becoming a Hunter is also like graduating from High School to Colledge because Hunters are naturally stronger than Dungeon Raiders just as Dungeon Raiders are naturally stronger than normal people.
David had also explained the ranks of all monsters and humans to Axel. The ranks are as follows, F, E, D, C-, C, B, B+, A, A+, S, SS, SSS, and after that is the territory of X, Y, and Z. These three ranks are so far apart that it would take the average rank SSS over 250 years to break into the territory of X. Because humans can level up, naturally their lifespans increase drastically as well. The average rank S can live up to 170, and the average rank SS can live up to 280. After that, the lifespan of a human increases drastically. Naturally, there are monsters just as strong as rank SSS and up humans.
The ranks for the monsters are as follows, Cannon Fodder(F), Monster Soldier(E), Monster Leader(D), Monster Commander(C-), Ace(C), Ruler(B), Noble(B+), Royal(A), Monster King(A+), Monster Emperor(S), Monster Demon(SS), Monster God(SSS). After a monster becomes a 'Monster Demon' they become more than just a monster. They are able to transform into a human form while their intelligence is already higher than the average S rank Human.
Their powers also undergo a great change. If a monster has an affinity with fire and water magic, then their magic and body become one. For instance, their bodies can have the attributes of water, formless, or have the attributes of fire, sporadic, and fierce. Their fire magic can also take on the attributes of their water magic while still being fire, as can their water magic. Not only does this happen, but their power itself becomes incredibly terrifying. Just their killing intent can destroy an entire city.
And lastly, when they become a 'Monster God', they receive their True Name^. A Monster God's True Name^ defines them. They are not only a 'Monster God' anymore, they are their own person now. Once a 'Monster God' receives their true name, it's impossible to defeat them if the one fighting them hasn't been in the SSS Rank for more than 50 years. A Monster God becomes a literal god-like existence after they receive their true name because if someone or something learns of its name and spreads the name around, it can cause people to die just from speaking it. And a Monster God also learns how to manipulate the mysterious power of 'Domains'.
If one were to witness the power of SSS Rank Humans or Monster Gods, they wouldn't live to tell the story if they weren't with the SSS Rank. A domain is unique to all Rank SSS, Monster Gods, and above. It is a space that encompasses its user granting them full and undivided authority over that space. The Domain is like the user's own personal universe and inside it, the user controls all laws, such as 'inside this space, they are immortal or can't be severely wounded.' Although this is possible such rules don't apply either when two domains collide or if the individual is facing an equally strong enemy.
Humans levels were also divided as follows, F(1-30), E(31-69), D(70-101), C-(102-157), C(158-200), B(201-259), B+(259-312), A(312-399), A+(400-600), S(600-700), SS(700-950), SSS(950-999), X(999-1500), Y(1500-4000), Z(4000-15000).
The Domain still buffs its user regardless of the enemy's power, it just loses the rights over the space it governs. That's enough explaining, back to Axel!
"What's gonna happen now then?" Axel questioned while looking around.
"Well, first we have to get y'all's licenses!" David said in a semi-excited manner while flinching as this was his first time in about 7 years trying to act cool. It certainly worked, for the most part, because Angela flinched after hearing her uncle's words before staring at him with glistening eyes.
