Chapter 8 - Workshop Blade & Spells

After axxel woke up, he forgot that the rewards included credits. "Credits," he said while yawning. He was also gonna be taught swordsmanship by angela's uncle. He looked at the window and saw he had 210 credits. "System, what do I use credits for?" he said while scratching the back of his head. He was currently staying at angela's home.

[Credits are used to buy weapons, potions, spells, etc. from the shop.]

"Shop," he said with a sparkle in his eyes. After what seemed like years, but was actually just a couple of seconds, a blue window popped up.

[Shop]

[On Sale:

[Fireball Spell: 30 Credits]

[Workshop blade: 150 Credits]

[Ice Lance: 60 Credits]

Axxel almost fell off the bed. 'Why the heck are these things so expensive, aren't they supposed to be on sale?!' he yelled in his head while cursing the system. Even though the prices were expensive, he still decided to buy the workshop blade and fireball spell. 'So how do I get the stuff?' he said. But then a window appeared.

[Fireball Spell has been bought for 30 Credits.

[Fireball Spell has been learned.

[Workshop Blade has been bought for 150 Credits.

[Workshop Blade has been acquired.

And just like that, those 210 credits he was proud of were reduced to 30 credits in the span of literally a minute. 'Oh, so the fireball spell isn't a skill.' he said as a new window popped up with the name, "Spells," on it. He then tapped the fireball spell.

[Details: A simple spell that shoots a ball of fire. Doesn't use much mana.

Axxel ran out of angela's home and into the forest for the 3rd time this week. Seriously how many times is he gonna go? But anyway, when he went into the forest, he went to the same spot he used the new mana bullets at. Instead of simply saying, "Fireball", well it was quite the same but, a magic circle appeared in front of his hand, and after about a second, a fireball appeared and flew at the tree in front of him. It left a nice burn mark, when Axxel went closer and touched the tree, which was dumb, he burnt his hand. 'Why didn't I use mana replacement, I'm such an idiot', he yelled in his head while sucking his burnt index finger. Instead of using mana replacement, he thought of a thin but sturdy coating of mana around his hand. And just like the other experiments he did, it worked. So he then went and touched the same spot on the tree again, but this time there's wasn't any pain. After pushing the wood a little, all the wood on that burnt spot on the tree basically turned into clumpy ash. It also revealed a dent or a hole that didn't reach the other side of the tree.

"Woah, this spell is kind of powerful!" he said while grinning. He then tried pouring more mana into the spell, and the fireball became bigger in size and also exploded on the tree, leaving a gaping hole in it. Axxel was surprised the tree didn't just split. But after that, he pulled what looked to be the workshop sword out of an inventory of sorts. While inspecting it he noticed it was just a simple wooden sword. He was furious. "Workshop Blade!" he yelled.

[Details: This sword can be customized with any materials you can find, from magic metals to dragons, increasing its power based on the material equipped. But it will only accompany the host until he reaches level 50.

Axxel's anger was quickly washed away after reading the details. From Axxel's point of view, this was the ultimate weapon, especially for him.
