Riku F. awoke the next morning in his bland, yet to be decorated dorm room. He groaned and sat up, having woken up before his alarm went off by about half an hour. "Stupid body... Don't wake up until the alarm goes off..." He rubbed his eyes and looked around his bland room. "I think I'll keep it this way... Don't want those girls assuming things about me." He got up and stretched. "And I don't wanna have to take anything I add down after just three months..."
He walked out of his room, deciding to take a walk around the building. He always took walks in the morning, usually a jog, but he didn't have the time for that and he didn't want to not be in his room when his guide got there. The rooms he saw the day prior were empty, as expected this early in the morning. He assumed the girls would be piling into the rooms in no time though. "No matter what area I choose to take part in, it's going to be awkward... Especially working out... I better do that on my own so I don't embarrass myself..." He sighed and rubbed the back of his head.
He looked up at one of the clocks. It was currently 7:10 AM. "I'll head back after like 10 more minutes I guess..." He continued walking around, looking at anything he found interesting. From what Riku could tell, Artemis also had clubs, events, and several classes that were all the same, though some were more advanced than the others. To Riku, it really was essentially just an all girls' college of sorts. "Man...I feel so out of place here..." He chuckled quietly and looked up to see some portraits of alumni. "I wonder what I could become after learning at a place like this..."
Riku remembered what the deity had said to him before and looked at the palm of his hand, focusing for a moment, and a bit of wind began circulating above the palm of his hand. "So it's true..." He thought to himself and clenched his hand into a fist, stopping the circulation of air as he looked over at a clock to check the time, the time now 7:23 AM.
"Crap, I got distracted..!" He started jogging back to his room, taking a glance at the things he already saw to get back there with ease. Just as he turned the corner to go into his room, he stopped abruptly, a girl turning the corner at the same time, the girl yelping and jumping back. "Thank god I noticed..." He thought to himself. "S-Sorry..!" He started going around her.
"W-Wait! You're the boy right? Well, I guess I don't really have to ask that." The short blue haired, blue eyed, and petite bodied girl suddenly spoke.
He stopped and looked back at her. "What of it? I'm kind of in a hurry."
"Trying to beat your helper to your room?"
"How'd you know..?" He muttered, watching the girl with a suspicious gaze.
"Because she's right here, dummy." She giggled.
Riku blinked a few times, feeling a bit embarrassed. "R-Right, like I was supposed to know that..."
"That's why I told you. You're a funny one." She laughed.
Riku's cheeks began to redden the more embarrassed he got. "I-I knew that..! And it wasn't just to beat you there, I need to get dressed!"
She blinked, tilting her head. "What's wrong with what you're wearing?" Riku was wearing a white t-shirt and basketball shorts, his usual sleepwear.
"Says the girl already in uniform..." Riku rolled his eyes and the girl laughed once more, Riku running into his room. He was about to start getting dressed when he heard a knock at the door. "We don't need one of these clichés, thank you for knowing how to knock on a door..." He said to himself and opened the door. "What?"
It was his helper again, holding clothes in plastic packaging. "Rude. Don't you know that's no way to talk to someone?"
"Sorry. Yes, may I help you?" He talked in a high pitched, polite voice with a smile on his face.
The girl laughed in response and she held out the packaged clothing to him. "I have your uniform, wear this." She smiled.
Riku took the packaging and looked at it, taking out the clothing and looking it over. "When did she even..."
"President Nishida is an impressive woman huh?" She smiled softly. The uniform was in his exact size. Riku took a close look at the girl, her uniform specifically. It looked like all the other uniforms the rest of the girls had, the students anyway. He thought back to the day prior and it occurred to him that a lot of the girls had different colored uniforms. He was so flustered the day prior he had only just now realized it.
"Yeah... I guess she is..." He finally replied to her question.
"What're you staring for..?" Her cheeks grew a faint red color and she averted her eyes.
He blinked, realizing he was staring and his cheeks grew redder than hers. "S-Sorry, I just...was thinking about the colors of the uniforms..."
"Oh that? The color of your uniform is based on your hair and eyes. As well as your personality."
He blinked. "What do you mean..?"
"Well, my uniform is white, which goes with my hair and eyes because they match the sky. Miss Nishida always says I'm like a cloud that soars through the sky." She smiled brightly.
Riku imagined the girl as a beautiful angel soaring through the skies. He thought of her as a harpy for a moment as well, which were common in his world. He then looked at his uniform again. The blazer was a deep, forest green, and the pants were a dark brown, making him pause momentarily. "...I don't know whether to consider this a coincidence or fate..." He thought to himself. The under, button up shirt was white, as everyone's were, but his tie was lime green.
"And what's the color of this mean?" He held up the tie.
"Oh, it's just our favorite colors is all." She fiddled with the bow on her uniform, a mix of navy blue and deep purple.
"So she can even find out stuff like that? Who is this woman?!" Riku perished the thought and began pushing the girl out of his room gently. "Alright, out so I can change."
"Aww, so you can stare at me but I can't stare at you?" She winked, teasing him.
Riku felt his cheeks burn and he turned her around, pushing her out, closing the door behind her, and locking it. "Out!"
She laughed. "Aww, you're no fun~" She shouted in a teasing tone through the door.
Riku stripped himself of his casual nightwear and got dressed into the uniform, looking at himself in the mirror. He combed his fingers through his hair, staring at his reflection. "I'm the only one here wearing this kind of uniform, yet they got it so easily on my first day... Did someone make it here..? If that's the case, this place really is amazing..." The girl hummed to herself, leaning on the wall beside the door while she waited for him. After only a few more moments, he opened the door and walked out, looking at her. "Ready."
She glanced at him and smiled. "Alright." She held out her hand. "I'm Remi by the way."
Riku grasped her hand gently. "I'm Riku. Nice to meet you, I guess..." He muttered, thinking to himself, "Her hand's so soft..."
Remi smiled. "Not gonna kiss my hand like a prince would?"
Riku rolled his eyes. "You really love to tease huh?"
"Mhm!" She giggled.
"Well I'm not royalty so don't expect that kind of treatment from me." Remi laughed in response, but didn't respond, and they let go of one another's hands. From there, Riku's full tour began.
