"What else am I supposed to be doing today exactly?Where are we going?" Riku asked as he followed Jira around.
"So many questions." She laughed. "Well, you have to take a couple tests and whatnot, all the stuff you'd normally expect. It's all really boring stuff honestly."
Riku's eyes widened and he slowly stopped and began turning around. "Oh look at that, I forgot about that thing I needed to go do... I'll be back later..!"
He tried to break off into a sprint but Jira grabbed the back of his collar before he could. "No you don't!"
"Ack! Noooooooooo!" He whined as he was dragged off by Jira, the other girls in the hall either rolling their eyes or giggling at him. Riku filled out several forms and tests for the next couple of hours, what you'd normally expect when applying for a school or filling out an application. He was forced to look over the rules and expectations, regulations, classes, clubs, facilities, all of their rules, and more. Jira stayed in the room to watch him to make sure he didn't try to sneak out. She was very attentive and nothing he did to try and get out worked. It was around 1:30 PM when they finished with everything.
"Alright, you're finally done!" Jira cheered.
Riku wanted to collapse on the ground, thinking to himself, "This is the greatest battle I've ever faced..."
"Oh, one more thing, here you go." She set a small card on the desk in front of him.
He tilted his head and picked it up. It was an ID. It had his name, age, and what facility he was going to be doing work in. "Wait a minute, I never picked..."
"Nishida picked what she thought would be best for you, considering what kind of person you are. I think it's a good choice considering we're in the same class!" She smiled brightly.
Riku smiled nervously in return. "Just when I thought I might never have to see her again..." He internally groaned.
"Oh, that goes here by the way." She took a few steps closer to him and snatched the ID from his hand, moving her hands to his chest.
His face went red. "W-What're you do-" She slipped the id into a see through pocket on his blazer, over his heart. It was really hard to tell there was even a pocket there.
"There we go." She smiled softly.
Riku averted his eyes. "You could've just told me where it was and I would've done it..."
Jira smirked playfully. "But then I wouldn't have been able to see you get all flustered, and that's no fun." She snickered.
Riku rolled his eyes. "Screw off..."
Jira ruffled his hair. "I'm sorry, did I offend you? I don't want you to start here hating me when we're going to be seeing each other a lot from here on out."
Riku gently grabbed her hand and moved it away, fixing his hair. "I don't hate you, you're just annoying. It takes a lot more to make me actually hate something or someone."
"Good to hear!" She grinned.
Riku sighed. "That wasn't a compliment..."
"I know, it's good to hear you don't hate me." She gave him a normal, sweet smile.
Riku averted his eyes, trying to keep himself from blushing again. "Who could hate someone like you..?" He mumbled.
Jira's blushed faintly. "What does that mean?"
"Well, you're really nice and you always seem like you're shining. Remi wasn't lying when she said you could warm people's hearts..." He placed his hand over his ID and let out a deep sigh. "Sorry if I'm being weird..."
Jira smiled and gave him a hug, making his eyes go wide. "You're not alone anymore here. Remember that Riku." She pulled back and gave him another bright smile. "You're stuck with me and definitely Remi too, whether you like it or not!" She laughed.
Riku stared at her, a bit wide eyed. "I-I..."
"Hm?" She tilted her head, still smiling brightly.
"Thank you..." He muttered again before smiling back at her.
"Woah! Did the sun come up or did you just smile at me?!" She grinned.
"I could say the same to you, pearly whites." He rolled his eyes, his smile fading.
Jira laughed once again. "Well, let's get out of here and play some video games! After Remi's done with her work, we can all get something to eat too!"
"Sure, just give me a second." He walked over to the window.
"I'll be outside." She smiled and walked out the door, leaning on the wall next to it.
Riku slowly took out his ID, looking at the class he was in. "Gym class huh..." He stared at his reflection in the window and glared at it a bit, as if Nishida were standing there. "What exactly does this say about what kind of person I am, President Nishida?" He could see her smirking and shook his head, sighing. "Well, whatever. It'll help me getting more fit I guess..."
He looked at his hand, his skin still rather pale. "He really didn't get out much... Unlike him, I had Roco, but he...he had no one..." He frowned as he thought this. "I'll give you something to come back to..." He muttered, looking past his reflection and at the sun, shielding his eyes a bit. "I bet you're doing great over there too now..." He smiled a bit, thinking to himself, "Friends huh... Maybe it's not so bad after all..."
Jira tilted her head a bit as she listened to him speak. She merely shrugged her shoulders, turning her back and dancing around while waiting for him to finish his moment. Riku stared at her from the doorway, letting her continue for a moment before speaking. "What are you doing?"
She blushed and quickly turned, facing him. "N-Nothing! Geez! Don't scare me like that!"
He chuckled. "So you do get flustered. Good for future reference I guess."
She puffed out her cheeks. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
"For future reference." He rubbed her head as he walked past her, messing up her hair a little.
"You're lucky this is in a ponytail.." She muttered. "And where are you going?! Why are you leading if you don't know where we're going?!"
"Uh, we had a tour, I think I know where the gaming room is."
"Gaming room? Oh no, we're going to my room silly. I prefer to play my games in a place I can't be interrupted."
Several thoughts ran through his head at that moment, but he quickly shut them out. "One, you could still be interrupted easily. Two, am I even allowed in your room?"
"Well yeah, it's the same as if we were an apartment. This is our home, so it's our choice who we let into our rooms." She explained.
"If you say so..." He muttered, but on the inside, he was freaking out somewhat. "I can barely keep up this cold, cool guy act as it is! Now I'm supposed to hold it and be alone with a girl in her room?!"
"Well, come on." She grabbed his wrist and pulled him along.
"W-Wait a second!" Riku retorted, but to no avail. In only a few minutes, they were in her room. Posters of anime and different games were hanging on the walls around them, she had a shelf full of manga and anime dvds, as well as video games, and even a couple figurines. Riku looked around at everything in awe. "This is like L's room on steroids..." He thought to himself before speaking aloud. "You're not embarrassed to show me all this..?"
"Huh? No, why would I be?" She plopped down onto her bed. "These are the things I like. Anyone who wants to judge is free to, but it's not gonna change who I am."
Riku looked down at her. "You're really something else."
"Oh, are you falling for me?~" She teased.
"You're the one who fell over." He teased back.
"True true." She giggled and sat up. "Alright, take a seat and pick whatever you wanna play!" She smiled.
Riku looked around, a bit confused. "I guess she means the floor..?" He sat on the floor beside her bed.
She leaned over and looked down at him. "What're you doing? I meant up here, by me."
He looked at her and blinked a few times, processing what she had said, keeping a straight, blank face. "But where will Remi sit then?"
"There's enough room up here for all three of us to sit silly."
"I think I'm fine down here."
"Well I'm not, what if you try and take a peek at my panties?!" She crossed her legs.
Riku, having forgotten she was in a skirt, quickly looked away as his cheeks turned red. "Then I'll focus on the screen!"
"Just get up here you doofus!" Jira easily pulled Riku onto the bed beside her.
"W-What?!" He looked at her. "Magic?!" He thought.
"I'm in gym class for a reason. Been here for three years. Lifting your flimsy body is easy." She giggled and poked at his ribs.
He moved to the other end of the bed. "D-Don't do that!"
"Quit being so shy! I don't bite! Well, unless you bite first." She winked. Riku shook his head and sighed, moving just a bit closer, a few inches in between them. Jira sighed and picked out a game on her shelf. "Your indecisive ass will probably take forever to pick a game too, so I'll just pick one."
"What did you call me?!" Riku growled.
"In-de-ci-sive- assssssss." She snickered. He glared at her, but just looked away without saying anything, and Jira stuck out her tongue as the game started and she sat back down right next to him. Riku blushed faintly, but closed off his thoughts as they started playing for a couple hours.
Remi walked into the room just as Riku had beaten Jira, again. "Noooo! How?!" Jira whined in defeat.
"Just because I'm busy in my world doesn't mean I don't game." Riku thought to himself with a confident smirk on his face. "We should start making bets on this." Riku chuckled.
Jira looked over and saw Remi. "Remi! Come and save me! This guy's a demon in game!"
Remi giggled. "You two seem cozy. Having fun without me?"
"Well what were we supposed to do? Wait two hours for you to finish your work?" Jira laughed.
"Good point. Make room!" She jumped and sat in between the two of them.
Riku quickly moved away. "She almost landed right on top of me!" He thought to himself.
Jira laughed. "Aw Remi, you missed."
"Darn." She giggled, looking back at Riku and sticking her tongue out playfully.
Riku averted his eyes and quickly changed the topic. "So what now?"
"Let's go get something to eat." Remi smiled and stood up.
"Alrighty, I'm fine with that." Jira stood up as well.
"My first real friends in this world huh..." Riku watched the two for a moment, smiling just a bit.
"You're staring again~" Remi giggled.
"I know." Riku chuckled and walked out ahead of them. Remi blushed faintly, but smiled as the two of them ran to catch up.
