Riku dashed at Seto in a blind rage, swinging his training blades as fast as he could. Seto did his best to avoid and jumped away from Riku, but Riku continued to rush him. There wasn't much Seto could do, Riku had thrown off his watch before dashing at Seto, and Seto couldn't focus enough to use his spikes.
"He was prepared for a rematch..!" Seto thought and glared. "Help me out will you?!" He yelled to the girls. Kana rushed over, her arms turning to metal. She jumped between Riku and Seto, blocking Riku's blades with her arms.
Riku gave her the same wild glare. "You're the one who killed Reina...aren't you..?" Riku began pushing back against Kana.
Kana grit her teeth and kicked him in the gut, sending him into the wall. "Don't think you can win just because you're a little angry!" Riku was about to catch himself, but several beams of light rained down on him, blocking with his arms, but it didn't do much good against the explosion of light.
"Riku!" Haruto cried out.
"I'm fine kid... You really think that's enough to do me in? Please." The smoke cleared, Riku's sleeves torn up and burned, but he wasn't too injured. "I've taken worse." He had taken a lot of beatings from Artemis when they had first started training, not to mention the beatings he always got back at his home world, which helped him to prepare for future battles in a way. The glare on his face never faded as he stared down the group, and they all glared right back. Seto held out his hand, sending his tiny spikes flying at Riku. Riku swung his blades, rapidly deflecting them all before dashing at Seto.
"Tch, let's go bastard!" Seto yelled at Riku.
"You have no right to call me a bastard you fucker!" Riku howled, Kana stepping in the way and swinging her metal fist at him. He dropped to the ground to avoid it, Aina firing a few beams of light at him. Riku quickly kicked Kana in the lights' path, using her as a shield and Kana turned herself fully metal to defend herself.
Riku dashed past them both, glaring daggers at Seto. Seto glared back, preparing his magic, but Riku was too fast. He flipped and did a handstand, kicking both of his feet into Seto's gut and sending him tumbling onto his back, grunting. Riku then jumped up, pulling his fist back, but Seto quickly rolled out of the way as Riku thrusted the blade of his gauntlet at the ground. It didn't pierce the ground since it was just a training blade, though it could still do some serious damage if it hit head on. Riku turned his head to glare at Seto once again, the fire from outside illuminating his eyes, making them look almost red.
Seto felt a shiver go down his spine, but he clenched his fists and continued glaring back. "Like I said, don't think you can beat us without magic!" He snapped his fingers, Kana and Aina jumping out from the smoke behind Riku, their eyes illuminated as well, a ball of light in Aina's hand and Kana's arm turned metal.
He quickly turned, but Kana was moved too quick. She uppercutted his gut, bringing him off his feet with her strength and knocking the wind out of him. Riku groaned, eyes going wide as he saw Aina running at him with a ball of light in her hand. He moved his arms up to block, Aina pressing the ball of light against them and firing an intense beam of light at point blank, sending Riku flying into the wall. He fell to the ground, catching himself, on his hands and knees, coughing and gasping for air.
"D-Dammit... I can't lose here..! Not here!" Riku thought and stood up slowly, but his arms and legs were suddenly bound and pinned against the wall, metal pipes from the interior of the house bending around his limbs. "Shit..!" He glared at Seto. Seto smirked and nodded at Kana. Riku looked over at Kana, who was walking towards him, punching her fist into her palm as her fists turned to metal. Riku's eyes widened as he struggled to free himself, but the iron wouldn't budge. Kana began pummeling Riku with her iron fists rapidly, and, unable to defend himself, Riku was bruised and bloody in no time. After she finished beating him senseless, Riku coughed and gasped for air, his head hanging low.
Kana grabbed a fist full of his hair and pulled his head up, glaring into his eyes. "You were so confident before. What about now huh?"
"Riku!" The children were crying. "Not him too, please..!" Haruto cried out, but his voice hitched as Seto's spikes surrounded him and his sister.
"Make one more peep and I swear I'll pierce your voice box kid..." Seto looked at the kids with an annoyed glare.
Riku's eyes widened and he clenched his fists, pushing against the pipes violently. "Don't you touch them..!" Kana glared and went to punch him, but he turned his head, avoiding her fist and biting her arm, hard enough to draw blood since she didn't turn her entire arms into iron.
"O-Ow!" She yelped and jumped back, holding her arm as it bled.
Riku grabbed the pipes binding him, pulling on them as hard as he could. "If you hurt them...I swear..!" The pipes started to come loose, slowly coming out of the wall. The group's eyes widened as they watched him start breaking free. "I'll make you suffer..!" He sheathed his training blades, pressing his fist against the pipe binding him, then made the blade thrust back out. As the blade came out of his gauntlet, the pipe came flying out of the wall. Riku did the same with the rest of the pipes rapidly, falling to his knees and panting heavily, his vision blurred from all the damage he had taken.
Seto's eyes were still wide, but he slowly regained composure, laughing. "S-So you'll make us suffer? Like that?!" Riku looked up and glared at him, standing quickly, but stopped as he looked past him.
"Ah ah ah, wouldn't want anything happening to the kids would we?" Aina smiled, several balls of light surrounding the two children. They both trembled with fear, tears in their eyes. Riku clenched his fists even tighter, his eyes becoming like that of a beasts. "Go on, glare all you want, but try anything and I'll fill their adorable little bodies with holes~"
"You bitc-!" Riku had the wind knocked out of him from Kana's iron fist once more. Seto and Kana began pummeling him with their magic, Seto using any metal he could find and Kana using her metal arms and legs.
Riku fell to the ground after only a few minutes. "Every bone in my body feels broken... It hurts so much..." Riku's vision blurred as he thought that to himself, looking to the children weakly.
"Riku..! Get up..! Please!" Haruto yelled to him, Gina having tears streaming down her cheeks, too afraid to speak.
"If only you weren't too prideful. If only you'd just use your fucking magic...then maybe you wouldn't have to die." Seto began walking towards him, Makou's sword floating beside him.
Riku's life in this world began flashing before his eyes. "Sorry F... Looks like you're gonna be stuck there...for good..." Riku's eyes began to close, but he stopped as he heard Haruto scream. Not in pain, nor fear, but with rage. Riku looked up at Haruto to see him glowing. He was encased in a light blue aura and the balls of light around him froze, turning into spikes of ice. "Haruto... Is that...your magic..?"
"I won't let you kill Riku too!" He held out his hands, firing the spikes of ice at Seto, Kana, and Aina. They all jumped out of the way, the fires in the house being put out from the cold force of the impact the spikes created. Haruto panted heavily, he was just a child, so he didn't have much magic power yet.
"Hey, since he interfered, does that mean we get to kill him?" Aina asked as she summoned more balls of light.
"That's exactly what that means." Seto smirked. Haruto grumbled a bit, more tiny spikes of ice forming around him. "Oh I dare you to use your magic on me one more time kid..." Seto's smirked faded as his small metal spikes floated around him.
Riku's eyes widened and he clenched his fists, growling as he rose to his feet. "No..! I won't let you..!" Riku thought to himself, "Please..! If I have magic, I need it now more than anything..!"
Riku dashed past the three despite his pain and took a defensive stance in front of the children. "Run... Go now..."
Haruto frowned upon at Riku. "But Riku, I can hel-"
"Haruto! Go, before all of us die here for nothing! Do you want your sister to be left all alone?!" Haruto's eyes widened a bit and he shook his head. "Then go... Run away... Please..."
"But...are you..?"
"Yeah, you're an idiot if you think we're gonna let you escape." Aina fired beams of light from the balls floating in the air.
Riku's eyes widened as he prepared himself to be pierced by them, several thoughts running through his mind. "I don't understand... They said once I experienced something life threatening, a burst of emotion, that I would awaken my magic... I just had so much taken away from me in the blink of an eye..! These bastards are threatening to kill Gina and Haruto, Makou and Reina are dead, and I've taken more hits than I can count! So why?! Why is nothing happening?! This isn't fair! I'm gonna lose everything after such a short time..? No... I don't wanna die yet... I don't wanna have anything else taken away from me!"
Just then, something inside of Riku burned. "It's not fair... I'm not gonna let this happen..! I'm not gonna let you take it all away!" Riku shouted, a powerful magical aura surrounding him in that moment. The instant Aina's beams of light touched the aura, they turned into magic particles, being completely deleted from existence.
"W-What..?!" All three of the heroes looked at Riku, eyes wide with shock.
Riku didn't say anything. He could feel his magic adjusting to his body and swirling around inside of him. He could feel its very essence, and he knew exactly what his magic was and what he could do with it in that moment. "So...you want me to use my magic, huh..?" Riku looked at the three of them, glaring still. "Alright then... Here you go!" He held out his hand, a blue ball of light forming in his palm, but it distorted and glitched, like some kind of bug in a game.
