White was swirling all around, clouding your vision in a vortex of uncertainty. Where the hell are you? The thick amounts of snow covered everything, stinging your cold cheeks and making your fingers stiff. The only thing racing in your frozen mind was shelter, but the idea was too far fetched in these conditions.
In a matter of seconds, the icy world around you paused and you stoped in surprise. "Hello...?" Your voice echoed throughout the white cavern, but no answer was returned. You trudged along in the frozen world, spotting something in the distance. A sense of happiness filled you as you picked up the pace.
The figure emerged into the shape of a troll, also caught in the time freeze, but in her case it was for the better. Your stomach twisted into a fit as you gawked at her entrails pouring out from a slit open stomach and painting the snow a murky red. Her glossy eyes were fear stricken as one of her hands failed to keep her organs inside, while the other was out-stretched towards you. The sickening scene was almost enough to make you hurl, but you kept your composure and backed away from the low blood. Her fate was sealed, and you couldn't help her.
Your eyes trailed to the blood in the snow, seemingly still pouring out of the trolls wound. Why was this the only thing not frozen? You kneeled down and dipped your fingers into the blood. "Still warm..." You whispered to yourself.
The blood trailed down to the palm of your hand and started to spread, engulfing your grey skin. You shrieked, trying to wipe it off, but no avail. The color spread everywhere, even the snow itself was all turning that terrifying color. Within seconds, the snowy white world was no longer there, making you too frightened to move.
The frozen world flickered to life and all you could hear was the agonizing screams coming from the troll girl. You rushed to her aid, but she went right through you like a hologram. "H-Help me please, anyone!" Her panicked voice echoed, tears streaming down her grey features. You felt hopeless, unable to help her, but something kept telling you it was your duty. With every failed attempt in making real contact, every face plant in the snow, the only thing you could do was watch as she bled out in the cold.
The troll stumbled forward onto her knees and one hand into the reddened snow. "Help... Me..." It's taking breaths now for her to speak, slowly losing her life force. You sat in the snow beside her, wiping your tears and staring at the scene unfolding. She started wheezing and choking for breaths, her eyes meeting yours in her last moments. You couldn't help but to stare back, knowing she couldn't see you directly. A few more breaths pass before she collapsed into the snow, unmoving.
You have no idea why, but your emotions imploded itself with grief and longing. The low blood you hardly recognize, hit you full force with a brick of cemented agony. What happened to her? Who injured her so? The confusing and cloudy scenario drifted off, snow barricading the murder like a shield and you left wandering the unknown.
...
Like a routine, you jolted awake in a sweaty, confused mess. You gave a sigh as you wiped your drenched forehead and sat up on the creaky matress. Your hands cupped your face, trying to remember what the troll girl looked like, but no avail. Who was she and why were you dreaming of her horrific demise in such detail? The length and complexity of these nightmarish dreams are making you uneasy to say the least.
"Why, good morning sunshine!" An unattractive voice spoke, scaring you half off the bed. You made a quick discovery of a certain 'female woof-beast' having an unpleasant and startling presence in your sleeping chambers.
You gaped at her for an uncomfortable amount of time before standing up and confronting her angrily. "What the actual hell are you doing in my block, Serket?!"
She gave a shrug and tilted her head innocently, "What? I'm just making sure you're not dead by now."
"What...?" You thought out loud, but quickly dropped your anger. Every memory from last night flooded back into place. The planning, the exhausting hike, and then the downfall of the explosion. You lifted up your black sleeve to reveal a clean bandage securely around your arm. The wound was tended and your torn shirt was missing. "Wait... Then how did I... Oh shit."
The look on Vriska's face could set you into a heart attack, as well as the swelling feeling of loosing control. "You see, once you hilariously fell, I caught a quick sight of some... Interesting color seeping out of you. I kinda just blew it off because of the darkness and such, but I had gotten a closer look after we blew up the humans monument. You passed out behind some bushes and I found you, cleaned that neat scratch, and took you home sweet home."
Your breathing increased, not knowing what to do in a situation like this. "B-But what about Sollux? Why didn't you guys turn me in already?"
"The yellow blood is still oblivious and sadly alive. We had to split up and take different paths to the village after the explosion." Vriska's lips curled into a sinister grin, "This might've been your lucky day! I bet my other arm that shit stain would've turned you in to the ruffians by now. All of that money on your head... And to think your father and brother are like you... Now that's a fortune of a lifetime, just for the capture of some filthy mutant family that no one would miss."
If you'd clench your jaw any tighter, you're sure there would be no teeth left in your mouth. It was taking every last inch of will power not to punch the snobby high blood right in the face, but what other choice do you have left? You had just placed you and your family's lives in the greedy hands of Vriska Serket. Thanks to you and you only, she can make your life a living hell for the rest of eternity. "What is it going to take to keep this a secret between us, and us only..."
"Now that's music to my ears..." She cackled, lightly tapping her metal fingers on the wobbly desk she had decided to sit on. You held your breath, unable to comprehend what she has in mind for you. "Hm... I actually don't have any use for a mutant like yourself, so I'll just let this blackmail settle in the back of your miserable mind. At least until I find a way to use it to my advantage."
A sigh of relief settled in the air, but your anxiety and guilt is still persistent. "Fine... You made your point, now get out of my fucking block and you saw nothing." You pointed specifically at the door, not wanting to deal with the blue blood any longer than you already have to.
"Jeez, pupa! This is what I get for saving your life? I guess I'll take my leave for now." Vriska gave a pout of her blue lips before standing up, towering you like a dangerous predator. She eyed you closely, "On a serious note, if you don't keep up with your part of the agreement... I'll personally slit your brother and father's throat right in front of you, and leave you to live with the memory."
