Chapter 19 - ALLAM TEST

Fazrani came out of Allam's bathroom refreshed and neatly dressed but not wearing her hijab and veil.

While looking at Allam's messy room, Fazrani looked around to find a broom so she could clean Allam's room before Allam returned.

While drying her wet hair, Fazrani sweeps the floor of the room which is littered with cigarette butts and food trash.

While sweeping under the bed, Fazrani found quite a few bottles of drinks with various brands.

"Oh my God, Allam turned out to be a drink that made him even more lost." muttered Fazrani as Allam came into the room carrying hot tea.

"Fazrani, what are you doing? It's not like I told you to let me clean it." Allam said with a flushed face. Either out of anger or out of embarrassment, what is certain is that Allam did not look at Fazrani's face.

"Allam sit over here for a moment." said Fazrani, patting the mattress next to her.

Without being able to refuse Fazrani's request, Allam sat beside Fazrani without looking at Fazrani's face.

"You are mad at me?" Fazrani asked while cupping Allam's face, which still looked red.

"I'm not mad, I just don't know what to say to you, you must be disappointed in me again after finding the bottles. I haven't had the chance to throw it away, because it's only today that I came home with you." Allam replied with a bowed face.

"Why should I be disappointed in you Lam? You promised me to change for the better and I really believe in you." said Fazrani while tossing her hair.

Allam stared at Fazrani's face without blinking because he was too scared that Allam did not realize that Fazrani was removing her hijab and veil.

And really Allam is even more fascinated by Fazrani's face, which looks very beautiful with a dimple on both cheeks.

"Your hijab and veil?" Allam asked nervously, pointing at Fazrani's face.

"Yes, I took it off for a while I cleaned my hair so it didn't smell bad, I had to dry it first, why Lam? you were very surprised?" asked Fazrani with an astonished look.

"Isn't it a sin not to wear your hijab and veil in front of a man?" Allam asked with a gaze that still didn't blink.

"In front of the husband, it's okay, Lam. there is no sin." said Fazrani who is still at the stage of studying religion.

"Very beautiful." muttered Allam, his lips slightly parted.

"Being beautiful in front of your husband will bring you rewards, and flies can enter this mouth if you keep it open." said Fazrani smiling as she closed Allam's open mouth.

Instantly Allam closed his mouth with his face flushed again.

"Dry your hair Zra, let me continue sweeping the room." Allam said, handing him another dry towel, having regained his senses.

While looking at Allam who was cleaning her room, Fazrani dried her hair until it was dry then put on her hijab and veil again.

"Fazrani, Allam hurry down ... you've been waiting for the Village Chief at the Village Hall." called Laila from outside the bedroom door.

"Yes ma'am, we'll be down soon." Allam replied as he opened the door wide.

"Fazrani, drink the hot tea first so you don't catch a cold." Said Allam giving a cup of hot tea to Fazrani before leaving the room.

With a smile, Fazrani accepted her warm cup of tea and drank it until it was gone.

"Thank you." said Fazrani smiling and then leaving the room carrying her dirty cup to the kitchen.

"No need, Fazrani, let's go now that many people are waiting." said Laila, taking the cup from Fazrani's hand and then led her out of the house, followed by Allam beside her.

Arriving at the village hall, all had gathered and Allam sat back in the defendant's chair.

"Alright, because brother Allam is declared healthy. And we've discussed this with other residents, So we decided that the punishment would continue on Allam with two days of shackles in the holy house and go to the Hidayatullah Islamic boarding school for one week or leave the village for good." said the Village Head who could no longer be contested because his current decision was based on the decision of the Kunjang residents.

"How is Allam which one do you choose? leave this village or carry out your punishment sincerely?" asked the Chairman in a voice full of authority.

Allam is silent thinking about his parents and also Fazrani's work that she still hasn't done.

"I accept that punishment the Village Leader." Allam answered with a face full of sincerity.

"Village chief may I accompany my husband in the holy house and in the Islamic boarding school?" asked Fazrani who could not bear to leave Allam in solitude.

"Because Allam's condition is in good health, then Allam's brother must undergo his own sentence without having to be accompanied or visited by anyone, including his parents or his wife." said the Village Chief with a knock indicating that the sentence had been passed on to Allam Afraz.

With a little shaken Allam approached his parents who looked at him guiltily.

"Maybe it's God's destiny to make you a better person Lam." Said Affandi, patting the shoulder of his only son.

"Yes, Dad." said Allam who did not talk too much.

Fazrani went to Allam after talking to the Village Head to ask for relief, but her request was not granted.

"I'm sorry Lam, I asked permission to accompany you can not be granted." said Fazrani with a bowed face.

"It's okay Zra, maybe this is the best way for my repentance to be more serious without you." said Allam trying to take lessons from all that happened.

"Allam you have to be fine, take care of your health especially in the holy house with your feet shackled." said Laila with her eyes already full.

"Now, Mom is not shackled, but in chains so that Allam can still move freely." interrupted Affandi, who was involved in making decisions on the new customary law.

"in that case, thank God." said Laila a little calmly.

"Dad ... Mom, can I ask you to take care of Fazrani so she can be comfortable in our house." said Allam who was very reluctant to be separated from Fazrani for nine days.

"Yes Allam, you take it easy ... I will definitely look after Fazrani very well." said Laila with a smile.

"Fazrani, are you staying at my mother's house for a while? slept in my upstairs bedroom." said Allam who could not let Fazrani stay at the official residence.

Fazrani smiled and nodded her head.

"We will not meet nine days Zra, I will definitely miss you." Allam said without preamble.

"You must spend the week studying hard, not thinking about anything else." said Fazrani with a smile.

"Including missing you is also not allowed?" Allam asked innocently.

"Enough Allam, don't talk about that again? remember my words you have to study hard so that you can become a better husband. And of course you have to miss me, because I must also miss you." said Fazrani with a sweet smile.
