I always thought that new beginnings should be dramatic and full of adventure, but I am not in a movie, and this is my real life, I just wanted to forget and move on, move out, and live a steady life, but old habits die hard, I love men, I live for them, the chase used to exite me, and I used to love playing games until recently, but I guess you can't run away from who you are.
I could feel Michael glaring at me, I could swear I had tons of holes in my face now, Mr. Moretti had left, I was regretting not having done more with myself, I stuck at good impressions. Michael finally spoke "well I guess you are doing better that I thought you were, I should be glad, but I think you need to be more reserved with your emotions" I was sure no one had seen me drooling over Mr. Moretti but leave that to Michael he knows me well, I cleared my voice "I was a bit taken back, but don't worry you are the one who will be eating with me" I said to him while winking as I took a sip of the water that was in front of me. Michael started talking about the new Company Director, "His name was Alex Lutten, he was highly recomended to us", I had heard of him,, he was the heir of an oil company called Royal, who wanted to gain experience and grow on his own efforts, but I guess you can never get rid of your background, I had never meet him, but I was going to take at least 2 months off and I welcomed the help, he was the talk of the society because who in their right ming will leave their high position and work from the bottom up?, rich people...
Mr. Moretti came back with the Chef and introduced every single plate brought to us, everything was exquisite, I was amazed the Chef was able to prepare a feast for brunch and managed to keep it light, before we were done eating Mr. Moretti approached us "Please forgive me, but do you mind if I join you?", "Not at all, please sit" I said while drinking some tea.
"I am truly pleased to meet you Ms. Hart, I hope the food was to your liking"
" Well thank you for having us in such a short notice, and for waiting us in your busy schedule, I loved the food, no wonder why so many offers to make it a franchise"
"Thank you! I am glad you liked it, forgive me, I might be asking so much of you since we just meet, but I would like to offer your company the franchise opportunity" That caught me off guard, my father's company started with an idea that had grown into a multi-millioner's empire due to its variety, from electronics, cars, real estate, hotels, oil, we even owned some of the mayor entertainment companies around, but not food, not even franchise for that matter. He continued "I know you don't work in the food industry, but you do cater hospitality and doing a franchise only means opening a few restaurants across the country, please give it a thought", I remained quiet for a few minutes and said "Very well, one of my strategic planers will contact you soon and set up a meeting to discuss more in detail". When we left the restaurant Michael asked me "Why would you take that deal?"
"We have been doing the same for so long, why not take a risk and venture out?, Just please make sure to call Damian to get in contact with Mr. Moretti" that was that, he didn't ask anymore and drove us to the appartment complex. My floor was located all the way at the top in the 98th Floor, the view was to die for, literally because I was afraid of heights, but since I had decided to start anew I said to myself why not.
As I started looking around, the Floor complex had a Total of 5 rooms with walk-in closets, 3 bathrooms, the master bedroom had its own private bathroom, a massive living room and kitchen, I noticed that one other room was ready to be moved in, so I asked "what is this?, why two rooms?" "Because I will be staying here with you".
