Chapter 57 - CHAPTER FIFTY SEVEN

JAMIE'S POV

We left judge Delano's office and Logan ran back inside to retrieve my phone, that he left on the chair he occupied.

He returned with the phone in his hand and a odd expression in his eyes, "I really need to get myself a new phone" he mutters.

"No, I need a new phone!" I retorted, looking up at him, from my chair. "You can keep that and we're hungry" I added, with both my hands on my tummy.

Logan knelt on the floor, leaned down and kissed my tummy before kissing me on the lips, "now daddy has to ensure that both his girls are filled" he kissed me one more time. before standing up.

With a hand on her hip and another on my chair, "girl?" mom repeated, with a broad smile. "You think I'll be getting a granddaughter?" she kisses me on the head, before hugging and kissing her son. "I can just see the designs for her wardrobe. This day has just gotten better! Let's go feed my granddaughter" she laughs happily, leading us out of the building.

Logan pushed the chair out of the side entrance, where his car was idling. Frowning, I looked up to see, Justin coming out of the driver's seat.

With a broad grin, he approaches me with his arms opened wide.

"Princess Leah, you're the bomb girl." he walks around my chair, smiling. "Your throne is on wheels! This is absolutely great!" he shouts enthusiastically, opening the backdoor for me.

As we pulled out of the driveway, my phone that was in Logan's hand started ringing. He looks at the ID,, before answering.

"Yeah" he answers.

From the backseat, next to me, mom looks on at Logan annoyed.

"Now that's not the way I taught you to answer a phone" she informed him. "Young people today" she mutters.

"Maybe it's a guy thing" I chuckle.

Huffing, "then it's a good thing you're having a girl" she said, while I strained my ear to listen to Logan's conversation, still not understanding anything.

When he came off the phone he started talking to Justin.

"Where are we going now?" I asked him.

Before Logan could answer, Justin butt in, "to get food for princess Leah and princess Jasmine" he chuckles.

Giving Justin a weird look, "am I suppose to be concern about Justin's knowledge of mythical princesses" mom asks, causing Justin to burst into laughter.

As mom and Justin joke around, the problem at large looms to the front of my head.

Jessica! Where did I go wrong? What did I do to cause this hatred that's emanating from her right now? Why was it so easy for Mr Daniels to turn Jessica against me? She's offended with me. She won't deliberately hurt me, I know she won't!

I felt a slight nudge on my arm and turn to see mom starting at me.

It was then that I realize that we were parked at a mall and all three occupants were staring at me.

"What?" I asked stupidly to mom.

Logan opened the door and came to open mines.

"Oh no, I'm not going in. I've had enough of this for the morning.

" Okay problem solve. You go get what you need quickly and Jamie and I will remain in the vehicle with the A/C on." mom told Logan, leaning back in the seat.

Logan looks at mom before addressing me.

"You okay until we return?" Logan asks, making sure that I'm comfortable with that, as he stands inside the open door.

"Of course she will be fine, I'm here" mom retorts.

Nodding, I smiled and tugs his black shirt, pulling him into a kiss, needing to remove his worry lines that constantly crease his forehead these days.

Kissing me back, he mutters "I love you, you know".

" I love you, you know," I whispered back to him.

"So what can I get you ladies for lunch?" Logan asks us.

"Surprise us!" I tell him and mom chuckles,

"Yes do that." mom agrees and I'm thirsty" she adds.

The guys left us all secured, before walking into the entrance of the mall we were parked close too.

Before disappearing from our vision, Logan turns around to look at the vehicle, before I see Justin pull his arm and walks in.

"He's always going to worry you know" mom said beside me.

Smiling, I nod at her. "I don't like that" I responded. "I'm independent. Ever since my brother was born, I became mommy's little helper and independent" I smile warily at her.

Logan may get upset with me but I need to inform mom about what dad discuss with Logan.

"I have something to tell you" I started and she nods at me, interested in hearing what I have to say next.

"Logan said Jess apologize and wants another chance and dad recommends that I gave it" I shares waiting for her reaction.

With a grim expression, she shakes her head, "I don't believe her, but she's your sister" mom said.

Shaking my head, I look at my hands, "something happen to turn Jess against me and I know she's not sorry" I responded sadly.

"Let the court handle it. I didn't have that luxury in the early days with Logan. If he didn't get in trouble with the law before he was eighteen, I would have lost him, permanently." she admits.

"Do this for your child and your husband" she admonishes me.

I look at her, cringing at my thoughts right now, "can I say something that's stupid and senseless but I have to say it out loud before I explode." I burst out fast.

Mom chuckles and nods.

"It's only been a few days but Jess has been hinting at me being a cripple for a few weeks now and if I would force Logan to stay with me in my condition" I was saying before mom burst out.

"She what?" mom gives me an incredulous gasp.
