JAMIE'S POV
As I wheeled out of the room, the tears started flowing. I have to be strong for Jess, I have to be strong for my baby, I have to be strong for my husband.
I felt someone pulled my chair backwards and for a millisecond I felt afraid,
"Hey, hey" I heard Logan's voice, before he knelt in front of my chair.
"This not me" I tell him, shaking my head. "I don't know who I am becoming right now" I continue.
"Becoming? It's not who you are becoming, it's who you have always been and now your precious husband is seeing your true colors" Jess sneered, confirming that I was not wrong in ignoring her.
"I'm not staying here a minute longer" I told Logan, who nods with a sad smile before making eye contact with Justin.
"You're disgraceful, using your contacts at the court house to put an old woman out of her home" Jess stands next to Logan, in front of me angrily. "Grams would be so disappointed in you" Jess continued to spew her venom at me, while I look at her flushed face, contorted ugly in anger. Her normally dark gray eyes, now red and cold.
Ignoring her, I turned to Logan, "I'm ready" I told him quietly.
Nodding he stands up, when Jess turns to him, "are you going to let her" Jess points at me giving me a disgusted look, "break up your family?" she says to him, "she's good at that you, know breaking people up with their loved ones" Jess continues and by the look on Logan's face, I can see that he is fedup and disgusted with all this drama and I'm ashamed to be a part of it.
"You don't know what you're talking about" Logan tells her pushing my chair out to kitchen, when Jess started again.
"I hope that when you give birth to that brat you're carrying, it dies with you!!" Jess screams as Logan and I were leaving.
Before I could turn the chair around, I heard a loud slap.
"Today you are dead to us!" Jer say in a soft menacing tone, walking out.
I spun the chair around and turn to see a surprise Jess, holding her cheek, her eyes on Jer's retreating figure, before turning to me still shocked.
"Jamie" Jess, started to say as I cut her off,
"Mr. Daniels," I turned to Logan's grandfather, "as of this minute, Jessica Scott is no longer my ward, I will be informing the Judge as soon as I leave here. Please go to court and apply to be her legal guardian, otherwise she will be placed into the foster care system until she is eighteen." I informed him noticing his surprise expression.
As I moved to leave, I looked at him one more time, "the moment you involved my husband in this matter is the moment you will see the true colors of a Scott!" I threatened him, wheeling myself out, without a backwards glance at Jessica Scott or any other person in the room.
Jessica made the one mistake I didn't expect from her, wishing my child dead!
I stopped the chair at the backdoor, and moved to get up, but Jer came to assist me, by lifting me once again, to Logan's SUV, placing me in the passenger seat.
"Jer, I'm sorry about all of this. If we had done the right thing from the beginning, Jess would not be thinking like this" I apologize to him.
"Sis, it's not about that, it's about what she said about my nephew" he said.
"Nephew?" Justin asked confused, then feigning anger, "I already got a name and gift picked out for my niece and now you're calling her a him?" he lashed out a Jer.
"Well how about this, if it's a boy, I'm the godfather and if it's a girl, you're the godfather" Jer comprised.
Chuckling, Logan comes and joins me in the vehicle, sitting in the driver's seat. "Finally an arrangement I agree with." he tells me, looking at both the guys through my open door.
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked confused, looking at all three of them with only Logan laughing,
"They have each been calling dibs on being godfather and it has been driving me crazy" I heard my mother-in-law say from behind me. I didn't even know she was there.
Surprise, "where are you going?" I asked,
"You honestly think that I am going to allow my granddaughter to grow up without me?" she asked
"Of course not" I told her turning to see Logan looking just as surprise to see her.
"Where are you going mom?" Logan asks her bluntly.
"Wherever my granddaughter goes" she responds chuckling.
Logan turns to me "uh, huh" then addresses his mother again, "you can't leave dad" he tells her firmly.
"I'm not," she tells him.
"He's going back in" I repeated, remembering what he told me earlier.
Logan continue to look lost as his mother and I speak.
"What the f**k are the both of you talking about?" Logan says angrily.
"Lets be on our way and I'll fill you in" mom said to Logan, who ignored her, and climb back out of the vehicle and stormed into the house once again, followed by Justin and my brother.
"Drama, drama, drama" mom mutters, leaning back in the car seat.
"Did you bring any snacks with you?" I ask looking behind.
"Yes, Athina is bringing that along" she informs me, with her eyes on the kitchen door.
"My family and I are the cause of all that's going on and I am so sorry" I apologized to mom.
Sitting up straight, "What? No Jamie, you have nothing to apologize for. Logan's grandparents realize that he walked out the family completely the day he married you. Now their only hope is your unborn child. Angela is their choice, not your sister to get your child" mom says.
