LEAH'S POV
"Yes, I'm aware, can we talk quickly?" she requests.
Nodding, turning to the kids, "take Justin to the kitchen and feed him," I said chuckling.
Adding, "There's sandwiches in the oven and salad in the refrigerator" I said, pointing to Mrs. Daniels, when she wasn't looking, indicating they could bring something for her.
"We will be in gramps den" I said, joining Mrs Daniels. leading her to the den.
Seated on the comfort couch, Mrs Daniels, looked around. "This is a nice room, my husband would love it.
"Thanks, it's where gramps hid from the world" my eyes travel around the Gramp's den, remembering all the stories of old, I grew up hearing. Now every memory seems to be so far in the distance sometimes..
"So, what I really came to discuss with you," Mrs Daniels started, observing my tear filled eyes, that I was trying to blink away.
Nodding for her to continue.
"Logan worked with a new designer for the Stanley's wedding and we've decided to feature it in our wedding magazine, showcasing their combine effort, so what I'm here for, is to get a copy of all the individual photos and group photos. Especially those in the church. I've seen what you've done and my husband and I are impress." she paused to allow what she has said so far, to sink in.
With a shy smile, I nodded.
"Logan also observed that you adjusted the designs on the bridesmaids and I've decided that I want you to work with them for changes because as the photographer, you may have an insight they don't." she explains what and where she needs me to work.
"Logan feels using the original bridal party could work for us and since they're already comfortable with you, we want you as our photographer for that feature. You have three weeks to get it together" she instructs.
Gasping! This is happening so fast and it all about Logan helping me yet again.
My pride wants to say no but, it's what I need. Commonsense, took over.
"Thank you, for believing in me and for this opportunity" I said gratefully.
"Now, the main reason I'm here," she started as Jess knocks on the door balancing a tray packed with sandwiches and salad in saucers with water and juice.
"Hi" Jess greets us, mainly, Mrs Daniels. "This is just something small to keep you up, till dinner" Jess repeats grams famous words.
"Thank you" Mrs Daniels said, shifting for Jess to put the tray on the center table in front of her.
"Welcome" she says half running back to the kitchen.
"You've prepared so much as a pre-dinner meal?' Mrs Daniels asked as I handed her a sandwich.
Grinning, "grams is watching" I said, adding at her confused expression, "never prepare just enough, always have extra for when the angels come to visit" I said repeating Gram's words.
Staring into my face, deep in thought, a small smile, playing on her lips, causing me to feel uncomfortable.
"So you were saying about your visit" I started for her to continue.
"Yes, the reason I am here. My son, the most responsible and organize person I know, seems to have misplaced the photos from the GUNS line. Do you have any idea what happened?"
Caught off guard, afraid to say anything that could cause problems for Logan focusing on my sandwich.
Watching my lowered head, "you don't have to worry about my son, he won't think less of you if you tell me what happened." she expressed with a small smile.
"I gave it to him, I honestly have no idea where he left it" I said that part truthfully.
Observing the honesty on my face and my voice, "okay, just do another batch, together with the wedding shots" she requests simply.
"Okay" I said looking away, mentally cursing Logan.
Looking at her watch, "I've to leave, my husband would be getting anxious now, even if he knows where I am" she says standing up, going to lift the empty tray.
Immediately stopping her, "no, please, grams is watching. Angels don't do that." I chuckle.
Reaching across, "you're a refreshing change to the people I've met on over the years." she said.
Opening her handbag, pulling out a piece of paper, "this is for the GUNS shoot." she gives me a cheque with a substantial amount.
Frowning, "this is too much" I said handing it back to her.
Folding my hand with the cheque inside. "The model you used, payment is included" she winks, releasing me, walking out slowly.
"The model, would be here tonight. I'll let him bring dinner, so that you can start working in the reprints for me" chuckling softly.
Running after her, "I'm sorry" I say
"Now what did you do to my aunt?" Justin asks walking in , looking between the both of us.
"Logan" was all Mrs. Daniels said.
Chuckling, "ah the photo shoot" he said. as I frowned at him.
Lifting his hand in surrender, "the security told her, not me" Justin says quickly.
"Shaking my head, " I didn't know" I explained.
"Yes, you didn't know about Mr. Gray" Mrs Daniels laughs.
Feeling like a fool, I strode shaking my head.
"You know what inspired him to use. the name Gray?" Mrs Daniels asked.
"No" I said, hearing soft chuckles all around me.
"Your eyes" Mrs Daniels said still laughing. "If it was me I won't let him of to easy" she advises.
"Are the photos good?"" I wondered
"Shaking my head, " no it is great " I say, smiling.
"Right! We'll use it. See you soon." she said turning to my siblings. "I've enjoyed my afternoon with the Scott siblings" she added, walking out with Justin as we waved from the front door.
OMG! What would you guys like for dinner? I don't have time to cook, so it's take away " I ask Jer and Jess.
"Pizza" Jess shouts.
"You don't have to spend your money"Jer being the rational one says.
" Logan's buying " I say looking for his reaction.
"Well, then" he grins at Jess, who kept nodding. "Pizza it is" he chuckles.
