Chapter 18 - CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

LEAH'S POV

Standing up with a smile, walking with his hand outstretched towards me, slightly bowing. "malady, would you care to join me in the garden for a few minutes" Logan requested. ignoring the 'ooos' and 'ahhs' of the other three 'J's'.

Standing up, "Yea, okay" I say, embarrass with the romantic stuff, to which I'm not accustom, leading the way out to the garden.

Walking deeper into the garden I saw candle lights all around, with a cloth spread out on the ground with a pizza box on top, a bottle of wine, I think two glasses and something else in a box.

"Wow" is all that I could say, taking in the romantic settings.

"You like it?" Logan asked standing beside me.

Nodding, as I'm to choke up to answer.

Taking a seat on the cloth, Logan went to open the pizza box, "wait' I said holding his hand.

Staring at me waiting for my response, "what's all this?' I ask, " I mean it's beautiful, but I've never done this before and I.. I.. " I couldn't continue, turning to see a small smile on his face.

"Jamie, I'm not here for games or to hurt you. I'm difficult and ruthless to many and to be honest, I am." he says.

"But when I came to visit you during the photo shoot, you mistakingly took me for the model. I was caught offguard and ended up going along with it, because I wanted an extra moment with you. It wasn't difficult working with you and seeing you at the top of your game" he continues

"I'm not a model but your motivation brought it out of me. I promise it wasn't a game then and it isn't a game now." he chuckles. "Consider it an interview" he continue to chuckle nervously."Which you passed with flying colors" he added.

Smiling, I just looked at him.

"Say something, anything" Logan encourages me.

"I have your first salary for the modeling gig" I said.

Wide eye, he looks to me, " salary? " he repeats

"Yes, your mother came by today and brought me a check" I explained.

"And?" he's waiting for more.

"I'm hungry" I said changing the topic.

"Uh huh", he says vaguely.

Opening the box, expecting pizza, instead two plates of Italian dishes, filled with my favourite meal inside the box.

Happy, "this certainly tops pizza" I tell him grinning.

"Yes, tell that to the guys back there" he points to the house.

We started talking about our lives and family, during the meal with my mind still on the GUNS shoot and him as the opening model.

When we were finish eating, "You want to tell more about my mother's visit" Logan suddenly asks, curious.

I quickly fill him in on the wedding photo gig for the magazine.

"I have nothing to do with that decision, I promise you. I made some observation but my parents made the choice." he says seriously.

"Aren't you the CEO" I asked

Nodding, "yes I am, but. I give my parents the liberty to make certain decisions and I support them" he admits.

"I rarely oppose their decision and when I do, they know to back down." he explains.

"How did you end up being a lawyer and a designer.?" I asked curious.

"You clearly haven't googled me" Logan realized.

"Should I?" I wondered.

"It's just that in the fashion world, you always end up at shows and red carpet events with models on your arm and the media turns that around making me into a playboy." he shrug.

"Uh huh" I him

"Growing up I always wanted to practice law, but worked at the fashion house during breaks and I ended drawing some sketches at home." he started.

"When my dad did one of his regular random searches in my room one day he found my sketches and he mom, added the designs to a collection they were showcasing and that's where it all began." he continue to explain.

"I hope I get to finish college one day" I say absentminded

Raising his eyes to meet mines, "what else did my mother ask you to do" he ask gently.

"You told her you lost the photos I give to you" I blurted out. covering mouth.

Chuckling, "so that's what it is. What did you tell her?" he asks

Shaking my head, " I'm not getting in the middle of whatever" I say

"I'll give them to her" he agreed

"So I guess I'm going to be covering my bedroom. walls with the ones I made earlier" I told him ad we both laughed

Standing up, "let's go in" I told him as we blew out the candles, wrapped the cloth. picking up the plates and glasses.

"Would you go on a date with me?" Logan asks as we walked towards the house.

"I thought you'd never ask, but on one condition" I told him,

"Okay" he paused

"Give me permission to use your photos for the shoot" I bargained

"Okay" he responds quickly

I hope my shock expression didn't show. Smiling, we walked into the house to see my siblings still up with Justin.

"So how was the date?" Jess asked

"Date? What date?" I asked Logan

Shrugging his shoulders loosely, "I have no idea what they are talking about" Logan plays along.

Standing angrily, "man have I taught you nothing?" Justin asks.

"Time to go, Jamie and I have a date tomorrow at ten thirty" Logan tells Justin.

'Wait" I ran to the dark room, packing the photos for the wedding giving it to Logan. ' for mother" I tell him.

The family Court hearing was a success, thanks to my brilliant lawyer, who got the court to legally give me Jerome and Jessica. Unknown to me all this time I was a temporary guardian, that's why I was under the constant eyes of the officers. They will continue to check on us, by they fully belong with me.

After the hearing, I wrapped my arms around Logan's neck planting a kiss on his cheeks, muttering. "thank you. thank you" I told him excitedly.

During the weeks that follow Logan and I worked on the photo shoot for the wedding, while secretly dating.

If anyone figured it out, they said nothing.

Justin and Logan frequent our home regularly but we kept ourselves at arms length with each other in front of them, but when we were alone, Logan couldn't keep his hands off me.

He never rushed me and for that I am grateful.

The wedding magazine profiling my work was best thing ever to happen to me.

Logan's mom worked with me to showcase the GUNS line which was a smashing success.
