"So how is everything with you going so far?" Lela asked knocking me from my daze after staring at a harry potter poster.
"Umm... oh, yeah it has been good besides the fact that people are asking me when I'm going to move out of my dad's house" I state because I am almost 18 and I haven't even been looking for a place.
"Oh, Cal it's not that bad, you still have until you graduate to decide when and where you want to move to." Lela stated with a smile that was so big you could tell she was about to strain her face muscles "And you can always take on that offer I gave you... you know to come live with me" I was staring at her like she was insane.
" Oh, yeah that I might actually have to take you up on that... But first I have to think about it and not saying that I am going to do it, but I will think about it, okay?" I ask while she is nodding without a care in the world.
"Hey Cal?" Lela asks with a genuine smirk on her face.
"Yes My Best Friend from so long what do you want to ask me?" I question myself before I actually say "Yes Lela what do you want to ask me?" with that she just blankly stared at me with that 'Ouch that hurt and I thought I was your best friend' look.
"Okay so how are you and Zach doing?" She asks with genuine concern for me and my boyfriend that so happens to be calling at that moment.
"Sorry, Lela, I have to get this... it's Zach" I quickly press the talk button.
"Hey, Zach why are you calling? I'm out with Lela, can it wait for a little bit?" I feel the tension in the air as Lela shifts in her seat.
"Well, Callie it's kinda important... I have to do this but God knows I don't want to." Zach lets out a sigh like he has been holding it in and finally got it off of his chest.
"Oh okay, what can be so important right now?" I ask in a low growl "Look I'm sorry but I just want to hang out with me best friend" with that Zach starts talking
"It's about Lela" He got my attention with just that small sentence.
"Okay, Talk," I announce getting annoyed
"She and I have been hooking up behind your back... she has been in town for about, I think she has been here for over a month" I let out a hurt gasp.
" You accuse me of cheating when it has been you the entire time with my best friend to add to the hardness, have the title as ' boyfriend cheats on girlfriend with the best friend' How have I never seen it coming, did you set Anthony up as well so you could get with me?" At this point, I am raising my voice.
"Cal, I didn't mean for this to happen I actually just wanted to have a little action because you are so hell-bent on saving it until you find someone that is actually right for you." He sounds mad, I look over at Lela and send a death glare her way, she gulps loudly like she is about to get eaten.
"Goodbye Zach and I don't want to see or talk to you or see you for a while until we can actually solve this with all three of us without talking on a phone so we can do it face to face. Is that okay with you?" I ask Zach then turn to Lela and she nods.
"Sounds like a plan," Zach says and I hang up on him.
"How could you? I thought we were like best friends forever?" I ask with tears threatening to fall out of my eyes.
"I'm so sorry Callie, I was going to tell you" With that I walked out of the place and head to my car. I knew she was hiding something from me I just didn't think that my boyfriend was doing stuff with my best friend but you know I should have seen it coming, I never wanted to do that with Zach and here I find out they have been going behind my back and doing god knows what else.
I just sit in my car for what feels like hours, I never want to go through this again I just hope it never happens to me, what type of people do that to their friends, the assholes but you know nothing ever gets better unless you keep calm and focus your attention on things that actually matter.
I have been crying for hours and just want to go home and do things that I want to because I can, nobody is gonna stop me from doing what I want and when I want to... Well let's go get Starbucks, I need some caffeine.
I drive for what feels like hours and I finally make it to Starbucks, I get out of my car, and walk-in and stand in line... Finally, that person is done ordering, my turn, I am so ready for my Caramel Frappuccino.
"Hi, I'm James, what can I get for you today?" He asks me, he is good looking, dark brown hair and deep green eyes, Full lips, okay I need to stop.
I clear my throat "Can I get a large caramel frappuccino and a chocolate scone and the name on the cup will be Callie?" I ask with a wide smile, Starbucks could never break my heart, Like some people.
"That would be 16.50, sorry this is random, but have I seen you somewhere before?" He asks that is kinda random, but I just shake my head and swipe my card.
"I'm not sure, I'm in high school and in college classes, maybe at the university?" I ask and his eyes just go wide, what? did I say something wrong? Eh, whatever.
"Order for Callie, One large Caramel Frappuccino and a Chocolate scone." I go over to the counter and thank him, and walk out of the Starbucks. Finally, something good comes out of this.
