Slowly getting the Rifles ready for a test fire, you put the scopes in their packaging again.
The Foxes seem to be awake again, watching the arms of the clock tick, it is already 6 AM.
Time flies by, especially when you are having fun
Hoping that they slept well, you walk out of the room. Immediately you feel the backpain you accumulated over the hours since you started working on them.
Stretching your back, slowly you start to feel better more agile and light.
Your lovely Girlfriends have awakened from their slumber and are now in the Kitchen.
"Morning again Master~!" Kate says, making Coffee.
"Oi Owner, why do you look like that?" Katie asks, walking towards you.
Suddenly she hugs you affectionately, starting to wonder if she was worried you'd overwork yourself.
"Katie~ what's wrong?" you ask her, patting her head.
She stays silent as she hugs you tighter.
Kate soon joins in, worried about her Sister.
"Katie, Master won't leave us." Kate says to her Sister, stroking her back.
Kate's words send shivers down your spine, your heart starts racing to unexplored limits.
"Katie, are you worried that might leave you two alone?" you tell her.
Her Hug tightens once more, clearly letting you know you are in the right.
You stroke her back a little until her hug loosens, slowly walking towards the couch.
Putting her on your lap, her hands go around your neck and remain still. Letting you wonder what happened in these few hours you were absent.
"Katie, can you tell me what bothers you, please?" you ask her gently, returning a hug.
At first, she stays silent. Katie brings three Cups of Coffee.
Soon after Kate sits down, Katie begins to mumble her words.
"Owner, we'll do anything...please don't leave...us." Katie mumbles, sending an utterly deep pain to your heart.
It must be because of what you said earlier today, about... going into the City or...completing Contracts around the Area.
Contracts are a possibility for a Town or small Comunity to request the Help of skilled Operatives. Be it Russian or NATO, if either is contracted the other is to stay put and not interfere with the other's Objective. These Objectives range from clearing a road or passage up to levelling a whole Town.
"Katie, I won't go anywhere. You don't have to worry." you tell her.
Katie starts to shed tears, they only become more. Her tears, filled with fear of being left alone.
"Master, we talked earlier today when we went to bed again, that if you would...you know..." Kate says, trying not to worsen her Sisters current situation.
You put a hand on Kate's leg.
Starting to feel dizzy, an idea comes up.
Slowly standing up, with Katie in your arms. You head to your Weapons Room.
Setting the Optics on the Table, you explain to Katie what the plan for today is. She's still hiding her face.
"And when that money is out, you'll go outside anyway!" Katie yells, starting to tremble uncontrollably.
"Did she sleep at all?" you ask Kate. She nods in response, carrying a confused look on her Face.
Having an idea, something you always dreamed of, ever since you were younger. You try and loosen Katie's hug on your Neck and slowly lower her Head to your Chest. She is still hiding her face, even gathering her legs. Trying to hide completely.
Gently, you lift her Head up to your Heart, she's still trembling with teary eyes. Almost immediately she calms down. Her Sister gasps as if she never thought this possible.
Katie closes her eyes, her breathing is normal. No more trembling or crying.
"Master, how did you...." Kate is at a loss for words.
"When I was still in training... the Higher-ups told us a Tale..." you start to explain to Kate, in a gentle Tone so Katie can sleep.
The Tale was...emotionally taxing. But it was a Test, but also a life lesson.
An Operative which has a Woman by his side and loves her more than himself is a worthy Husband.
If the Operative is in a State of Emotional Stress or even Trauma, and the Woman lifts his Head up to her Heart, and he hears it beat. She is a worthy Wife, deserving of her Husbands love and attention.
The Science behind it is quite simple...yet fascinating.
The Man will think it resembles his Mother's Heartbeat. Therefore he calms down, bit by bit. His muscular system is starting to relax to the point of his Body, becoming similar to jelly sometimes.
"Master, that's...I can't describe it." Kate says, sitting down beside you.
With one hand you hold Katie sleeping like a baby, with the other you put on Kate.
"You two really have to stop worrying so much over Matters that I should be worrying about." you tell Kate.
"You know that won't happen Master~. We love you too much for that." Kate says, resting her head against your shoulder.
A few minutes pass and Katie slowly wakes up again.
"Owner, I am very sorry for causing you problems." Katie says, looking up at you.
With a laugh, you give both a pat on the head.
"You two never cause me problems...I love you two too much for that." you say, giving a similar answer as Kate.
With a few more minutes of snuggling past, you all stand up and go drink the Coffee. That went cold.
The Foxes say it's not to good anymore.
"I don't know what you two are saying but this is preem(Slang for nice)." you say, downing the whole cup in one go.
Katie laughs while Kate pouts, as she wanted you to savour your Cup, and not down it in one go.
You get dressed and are waiting for the Foxes, they arrive soon this time, wearing a Scarf each.
The wind must be a little uncomfortable for them, you give them a small laugh seeing them like that.
"Oh~ Master~ why you laughing at us?" Kate says, pouting.
"You two look very comfy and way more fluffy wearing Scarfs, I might fluff you two when we are back." you tell them.
Together you head out, locking the door. Ready to head to Katya's House, you start walking.
The Foxes are walking ahead of you, they are chatting and laughing. About what you think is Fashion.
"You two will make perfect Wives one day." you say, out of the blue.
The Foxes let out panicked Eek and their Tails became stiff.
"M-Master, where did that come f-from?" Kate says, flustered.
"O-Owner, t-that's not something you say out of nowhere." Katie says, also flustered.
"Caught you off guard, aren't you two cute." you say, with a laugh.
Arriving at the House Katya chose as her Vacation Stay, you knock on the door. One of her Daughters opens it.
"Why are you here? Didn't Mother tell you to stay away?! Oh, hello you two~!" Tina says to you, but then she sees the Foxes.
"Tina~ Who is it?" a voice similar to Katya yells from a Room.
Katya walks up to the Door,
"Oh Dan, come in you two. You must be shivering." she tells the Foxes.
Tina was about to close the door when her mother stops her.
"Him as well Tina, show him the least amount of respect at least, please." Katya says to her Daughter.
"Ugh! Fine, get in already." Tina says, welcoming you in.
With a nod you enter their House, it is quite a bit larger compared to yours but, you got a lot more furniture then them.
Katya has seated the Foxes at the Table, they were just having breakfast it seems.
"Mother... why didn't you tell us we had guests?" Lena the oldest Daughter says, walking down the Stairs.
"Good Morning Miss Lena. I won't be staying long, but my Foxes might stay longer if that is your wish." you tell her.
"Kate Katie! Welcome !" Anika says, also walking down the stairs.
"Good Morning Miss Anika" you greet her.
Miss Katya invites you to the Table,
"With all respect Miss, I think it's unwise for me to sit down, I am only here for a short and rather delicate matter." you tell Katya, she gives you a confused look.
"That was an Order Dan~" she says, sarcastically. But you take it seriously either way.
"As you wish Miss." you say, sitting down.
You got the Optics with you all there is to do is to bring up the Subject.
"What do you think of the House Dan?" Katya asks you.
"It's elegant and well-suited for a Vacation." you answer her.
Katya and her Daughter, that are now sitting at the Table, laugh at your answer.
"Change of Plans Dan, my Husband can't organize a Safe Route from here, therefore I'll be staying longer," Katya says.
Unsure if she was jesting or not. You display a rather confused look.
"Oi Idiot, why are you looking so dumb?" Tina asks.
"Tina~ show some--" Miss Katya tries to scold her daughter, but is quickly interrupted.
"Miss Katya please, it's fine." you tell Katya, she gives you a confused and slightly angered look.
With a sigh from Katya, Lena offers you the Foxes some Coffee. They accept.
"Mister Dan, do you want Coffee?" Lena asks you politely.
"Of course Miss, if it isn't a hassle for you." you tell her, she giggles at your words.
"Why do you offer him Coffee, he probably already drank one?" Tina asks her Sister.
"Tina, please behave--" Lena tries to scold her younger Sister.
"Please Miss Lena, it's unwise to make a problem out of my presence here." you quickly say, interrupting Lena.
Lena looks shocked at back at you.
"Why do all of you treat him like this? He just came in here for business and then he's gone." Tina says, visibly angered by your presence here.
Your Foxes put their Hands on your lap, showing their affection but also a clear sign for you to do something.
Before you can even react Tina heads upstairs, without saying a word.
"Tina! What are you doing?!" Katya tries to get her daughter to come back, but it's too late.
"I apologize deeply Miss Katya.." you say, letting your head drop.
"Dan please don't, she's a little...difficult. Especially since that day...where you..." Katya explains but is left without words.
With flashbacks coming and going, you are overwhelmed by them. Your Foxes help your regain control, you hold their Hands.
In the end, you need to talk to Tina, if that's possible. But also sell the Optics, in order to get Money for the future. If not, you will ask Katya for other Options.
