"Dan, you don't blame yourself...it's not your fault." Katya says.
"Miss, I beg your forgiveness but I feel that it is mine." you tell her.
The Foxes hold each of your hands between theirs, giving your Hope.
This Reminds you of the time you were interested in Egyptian History, where married Woman would lift the Man they love up and motivate him to reach every plausible achievement he has.
Mustering up all your strength and courage, you decide to head upstairs to talk to Tina.
As you walk up the stairs you take one last look at your Foxes. Motivating yourself through it.
Kate and Katie give you a smile, letting you know you can do it.
"Dan, third room on the right, that's Tina's Room." Katya says, staring at her Cup with a worried look.
"Thank you, I'll do my best," you say, hoping it comforts her.
Walking up to the specified Room, you knock on the door.
"What?!" a voice yells from the inside.
"Miss Tina, may I come in?" you ask her, knowing she most likely will decline.
There is a moment of silence, you can hear footsteps on the other side.
The door opens a bit,
"What do you want Idiot?" she says with a scared nervous tone.
"May I come in, I want to ask you something?" you tell her.
She pauses for a second, presumably thinking of your proposal.
"F-fine, come in b-but not for long!" she says, letting you in.
Inside her room, you notice the number of books she owns, most of the titles are unknown to you.
"Sit there... p-please." she says, pointing at a comfy-looking chair.
"Thank you, Miss do you read a lot of books?" you ask her.
She sits on her bed with her feet crossed, hugging a large Stuffed Animal. It seems to be a Dog.
"I-i do...wh-why would you care?!" she answers, worried.
"Pardon my question, the Titles you own are rather... foreign to me." you tell her.
She covers half of her face with the Stuffed Animal,
"It's because they're from a massive collection I got when I was still a kid. There's only a few in the World." she answers, calmness filling her voice.
Silence fills the room once again, Tina shily looks away. You spot a hint of blushing on her face.
"So uh... *clears throat* Miss Tina, I suppose my presence has made you uncomfortable?" you ask her, trying to look nervous.
"Maybe... I don't care what business you have with our Mother, just get it done and leave." she says, her voice trembling.
You stare at the ground, with nothing left to say.
"I'll take my leave then. I don't want to make things worse. Thank you for having me." you tell her, standing up.
She hugs the Stuffed Animal tighter and mumbles out her words.
"Don't....stay....please~" she mumbles.
"As you wish." you answer her, sitting back down.
She stares at the ground and an awkward silence falls upon the Room.
"M-mother told us about your Past when Anika was curious." she says, out of the blue.
"Oh...I am not proud of it as you might guess." you tell her, feeling pain crawl out.
She stands up with Stuffed Animal in hand and walks up to her Bookshelf. You follow her hand, reading the Title that her Hand goes over.
Tina picks a book with a leather-like cover, she hands you the book. She sits down on the bed, still hiding her face.
The Titles seems to be in Russian, but...written in a different style then you know.
"Open the book on page 49 and read the first Sentence..p-please." she says, her voice trembling.
Starting to skip pages, gazing upon this Book's reads you start to notice that you can read it.
A rather strange and interesting book, Title written differently than the contents of it.
Gazing on page 49's first sentence, it reads:
"A man with a dark and sinister heart can love a woman more than a man with a bright and benevolent heart can ever dream of doing."
You grin upon reading it. Tina notices it.
"T-that's my favourite Book, is the sentence true or a lie?" she asks.
"Miss Tina, the only ones I love the most, more than myself. Are Kate and Katie...I..." you say determined..stuttering regardless.
Tina puts her Stuffed Animal aside and walks up to you.
"I always thought your just another smooth-talker and all you have in mind is money and Woman, but when saw your Foxes...and heard about your past. I am sorry I misjudged you Dan, I really am sorry." she says, reaching her hand out.
You grab her hand and she pulls you out of her room and stops outside.
"Thank you, Dan, for answering my question." she says, gesturing you to bow forward.
You do as instructed. In the end, she gives you a kiss on the cheek.
"I am glad I could help." you tell her, together you head downstairs.
Everyone looks surprised as Tina is present again, this time with a big smile on her face.
Each take your respective seats, you sit back between your Foxes and Tina sits between her Sisters.
Lena has put a cup of Coffee in your Place. Taking a sip of it, it is bitter and bears a dark colour.
"Very bitter Miss Lena, but it suits my style." you say, with a smile.
Lena smiles and giggles at you, soon all the Girls start to giggle.
Soon Katya initiates the business talk,
"Dan what type of business do you have with me?" Katya asks.
"Before I met my Girlfriends, I had was on a Night-time Scouting mission when I saw an unmarked Airdrop land close by. I went to check it you and took two very unique Optics." you explain to her.
Taking them out of their packaging and handing them to Katya, she immediately looks confused.
"Dan, these are unmarked and... the controls are in Russian." Katya says, she hands them to her Daughters next.
They give the Optics the same look, only when Lena takes a closer look at them that she might've seen them somewhere.
"Mother isn't this one of Father's Projects?" Lena asks her Mother.
Katya takes another look at them and recognizes them slowly.
"Dan, what else was in the Airdrop?" Katya asks you.
"Ammunition, it was 7.62NATO to be exact. So we burned it but I kept the Optics." you tell her.
Katya starts to lay the foundation for you to understand the idea and meaning behind the existence of these unique Optics.
Her Husband has ordered multiple Military-grade and highly-skilled Companies including some very loyal Russian Companies to design an Optic that could is compact, very durable and is usable in any weather and any condition.
Them appearing in the Inventory on your Device is correct and in no way a mistake. The Contracted Company lost the Optics on transit from their Testing Facilities when the Convoy the Optics where on got intercepted by Terrorists. Therefore the Optics never arrived for the Production to start.
"That means that I could get in trouble for carrying these?" you ask nervously.
"Not at all, you'll be compensated for your find Dan. Especially because you've shown loyalty and very high respect towards my Family." Katya says with a smile.
Your heartbeat drops upon hearing her words. The anxiety that was induced by Katya's explanation was very high.
"Master~ aren't you a lucky guy~?" Kate asks, clinging on to your arm.
"Lucky? Never thought of myself that way." you answer.
"Even if you have two beautiful Girlfriends~?" Katie asks, clinging on to your other arm.
The situation is tight, not only because you are being squeezed by your Foxes but also because you will most likely see Katya's Husband again.
He is a good man, always caring for his family even if it may cost him his time and nerves afterwards. But because meeting him means a very high chance for another Mission that will take you across the country, again.
The First Mission of that Type was when the Town was very small and barely any defences were present. The constant stress and worry over the condition of the Town made the Mission extremely taxing, both physically and especially Mentally.
Depending on the Objective of the Mission and the check-in afterwards, you might accept it. Even if it means your Foxes will probably stay at home. Money means Survival and there is no one better at accomplishing almost every Mission then Night Stalkers.
Either you give in to temptation, greed and desire...or you stay at home safe and sound, keeping your Foxes happy and fed every day of the week.
The Question, it's only answer is to wait and see what lies ahead.
