*Xavier's POV*
I have to say when we got to school I was a little nervous for Taylor seeing how she was treated at her other school but that didn't last long, we've never really experienced that here thankfully, besides I have a feeling that she won't have a problem making new friends. I loved the look of complete & utter shock on her face seeing Sam in front of the school although I was a little surprised that she didn't notice him but then again I could sense her unease, it just put a huge smile on my face when her entire face lit up with seeing her best friend. She shocked me too when she said that she couldn't believe she was gonna have BOTH of her best friends here, that gave me such a sense of pride while warmth just blanketed over me from happiness.
I was pleased when she said that she's enjoying all of the classes then when she met everyone at lunch although I know she isn't used to this I could tell she had fun, I could see it in her eyes. The only thing I wasn't happy about was what happened at Math class after the news about her being my mate almost everyone was happy for us except for Nikki & Stacey, they were glaring at her which I'm pretty sure they didn't even realize that I noticed it but I'll let it go for now as long as they don't cause problems although I'm sure Taylor will probably be asking me about it at some point.
I decided that if she does ask me about it I'm gonna tell her the truth that Nikki & I dated as well as sleeping together for awhile but I broke it off as soon as I transferred to Taylor's school in hopes that I would find my mate. I don't want to have any secrets between us, I love her too much already to hurt her in that way even though I'm sure it may hurt her a little knowing that I slept with someone and didn't wait but I was never the type to sleep around so she doesn't have anything to worry about.
When the day was done she gave Sam a big hug smiling saying she'll see him tomorrow as we're heading home I was already expecting my parents to bombard us with questions as soon as we walked in the door which yes they did that I just had to laugh. After we answered all of their questions we headed upstairs to start on our homework before my mom called us down for supper. Supper was really nice (not that it usually isn't) my parents asked Taylor how the training was going and with the look in their eyes we caught on that she was asking about both training to which Taylor had a big smile on her face saying that it was going really well while they looked at her with admiration & love.
Once we finished we went back up to our rooms in order to finish our homework, I heard a soft knock on my door so when I opened it I was surprised it was Taylor, she looked at me and timidly asked if I wanted to watch a movie with her. To say I was thrilled would be an understatement so of course I agreed, now we're trying to figure out which room and she suggested here in my room I just gave her the biggest smile to the point she looked down while her cheeks turned a slight red. I just couldn't believe it, all that kept running through my mind was that she's really starting to trust me more, this is huge and I won't be taking that for granted especially knowing what she's been through.
So we chose the new Halloween movie since neither of us has seen it yet & just as we got comfortable and started the movie I heard a knock on my door but this time it was my father letting me know I had an important phone call then I got up told Taylor that I would be right back and headed to the office.
After picking up the phone saying hello I heard the person on the other end seeming to talk to another person so I waited, when he realized that I was there he apologized and introduced himself as Alpha Alex from Taylor's pack at which point had me tensing up right away.
I know why they're calling me, my father told me about the investigation so I'm guessing they have their answers now, I asked "what can I do for you?" & they explained in great detail about the investigation as well as who the suspect is which I was very grateful for. They told me that they can't do anything yet, well not until they hear from the elders because do to the seriousness of this crime they want to make sure that there's absolutely no way he'll be able to weasel his way out of this, I said thank you where they promised that they will call once they hear back from the elders.
I sat down for a minute relieved that she would finally get justice for the attack and it seemed like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, my dad just looked at me so I told him what they said & it looked like he was relieved as well. I made my way back upstairs to watch the movie now in a really good mood, I walked into my room and saw that she had a big smile on her face while she waited for me so we started the movie & just cuddled which felt wonderful before drifting off to sleep.
