*Taylor's POV*
I woke up with a start this morning opening my eyes only to realize that I slept in Xavier's arms last night while we were watching the movie, I have to say it was the best sleep I've had in quite a while and somehow I managed to get his arm off me so I can go to the bathroom while getting ready for breakfast as well as school. Trying not to wake him up I quietly left his room so I could shower, as I was trying to figure out what to wear I decided to go with my light blue skinny jeans with a purple quarter sleeve shirt also grabbing my underwear & bra before jumping in the shower.
As I take my shower I can't get the mood change from almost everyone except for Xavier's mom and the fact that they aren't telling me anything is frustrating, I'm pretty sure everyone else can feel the tension while it seems that they're all on edge about something. I just wish Xavier would tell me what's going on instead of keeping me in the dark I mean I know he trusts me & I definitely trust him but if this is concerning me then I feel I have a right to know. Once finished I walked back into Xavier's room seeing if he was awake yet realizing that I didn't know if he set his alarm and just as I was thinking this his alarm went off startling me while waking him up. Started to stir reaching for me before frowning noticing that I wasn't in his arms, all I was thinking while seeing him do this was that he's just so cute & sweet then he opened his eyes looked over at me with a large smile on his face which of course I couldn't help but smile back.
I went back to my room to grab my bag while he was getting ready and went downstairs for breakfast to wait for him, as I was eating I didn't even have to turn around to confirm that he was here seeing as his scent assaulted my nose putting a smile on my face although I'm really hoping it won't be another repeat of yesterday with the tension while everyone was on edge.
When we got to school of course I saw Sam right away & gave him a hug then all of a sudden I heard a growl behind me, I turned to look to see none other than one of the girls that had been glaring at me before I heard them both say "MATE" while staring into each others eyes so I backed away to give them some space. I introduced myself while having a smile on my face, I told her I was very glad to meet her and very happy that my best friend found his mate just to give her the reassurance that she never has to worry or be jealous of Sam with me then I just asked her "if you're unhappy with being his mate then please can you just get to know him first before making a decision!" Letting her know how great of a guy he is and that I just don't want to see my best friend get hurt. Stacey just looked at me in complete shock, I guess not expecting me to ask this of her so when she regained her thoughts & looked at Sam she had a smile on her face then Xavier and I just let them have their space along with a chance to talk.
As we were walking to our lockers I noticed Xavier smiling at me so I turned to ask him "what?" Where he just said that he was proud as well as impressed saying that he saw her & Nikki glaring at me the other day but seeing how friendly I was instead of automatically giving her attitude then told me that he believes that I'll make a great Luna when the time comes, so what do I do...blush I'm pretty sure my face is as red as a tomato right now but he just kisses my forehead while hugging me.
It seems that most of the day goes by relatively quickly seeing as it's lunch right now, after getting my food I notice that Stacey is sitting at the end of our table while talking to Sam, I'm really glad to see that because I only want Sam to be happy since he deserves it. I sit down and was surprised that Stacey said hi to me with a smile on her face rather than glaring at me, I said hi back then asked how they're day was going which they both said that it was going good although they don't have a lot of classes together saying that was okay for now.
After lunch we went to our next class where I noticed Nikki and Stacey in what looked like a very heated argument so not wanting to seem nosy I went straight to my seat not looking in their direction at all just waiting for Xavier and the teacher to start the lesson. When class was over I started heading to my last class Xavier said he had to talk to Kyle about pack stuff so he'd just meet me there afterwards.
I walked into Math class to make my way over to my seat when Stacey waved hi and I waved back then I notice Nikki start walking over to me in which caught me off guard, she sat in the seat in front of mine seeing as the person wasn't here yet before turning to me saying hi while introducing herself. She apologized to me about glaring at me the other day saying that she usually isn't like that & it was mainly because I was new, I told her that it was alright then she invited me to her house on Friday telling me that she was just gonna have a small get together with just a couple friends which I have to say I was a little skeptical at first while Sapphire is telling me that something seems off so I just block her out for now and told Nikki that I'd love to so I gave her my number so she can send me the directions then said it starts at 4 so I told her ok.
I had a big smile when Xavier finally got to class which he returned before asking me why I was so happy so I told him about Nikki inviting me over her house & apologizing for the other day, his only response was wow that's good but I thought I briefly saw a look of concern in his eyes although it was so quick that so I really wasn't sure it was there at all.
*Sam's POV*
I was on cloud nine if someone had told me that I would finally meet my mate today I would've just called them crazy and laughed in their face, I still can't believe it & she is absolutely gorgeous. What completely surprised me was what Taylor said to her about if she wasn't happy with the paring for her just to get to know me first although I know she doesn't want me to get hurt and by the look on Stacey's face it caught her off guard as well, what can I say...I have an awesome best friend!
I did get a little worried as I was walking to my last class I passed Taylor's Math class where I noticed Stacey getting into a argument with her friend I think she said her name was Nikki but it didn't last long & couldn't hear what it was about since the door was closed although Stacey did look a little uneasy so I guess I'll try asking her about it later but only if she wants to talk about it.
So now it was the end of the day after grabbing my bag I waited for Stacey then we made our way outside, as I got to the edge of the building I picked up a familiar scent that I just couldn't place but as I took a couple more steps it was gone so maybe it was nothing. We met up with everyone at our cars talking for a few minutes before Taylor gave me a hug while I heard a growl behind me then Taylor whispered in my ear that she was extremely happy for me which right away stopped Stacey's growling, I think she finally realized that we are just best friends so she doesn't have anything to worry about then we left heading home.
As soon as I got home I found my father in his office so I walked in with a very big smile on my face where right away my dad knew someone was up but was waiting for me to spill it, I was so excited that I yelled "I found her, I finally found my mate! Thank you soo much for letting me transfer schools because I may have never found her if you hadn't". My mother Casey came running upstairs from all the commotion frantically asking if everything's alright so I just smiled at her telling her the same thing I told my father at which point she screamed excited while asking me all about her then I told her of what I know so far since we're still getting to know each other. I also told them of what Taylor said to her and they just smiled saying wow with everything that wonderful girl has gone through she still has a pure heart & doesn't want you to get hurt but only wants happiness, If you can't tell they're very proud and have always treated her like their daughter.
My mom asked how Taylor was doing now that was away from here, I said "mom you'd never think it was the same girl, she's happy & smiling most of the time now I mean she still has her bad days, oh the best part is that she isn't getting bullied anymore but there's a situation that we've been on guard about. I guess it seems that it has been confirmed of who attacked her the bad news is he got away and may be on his way to try to get to her again so we've been sticking by her just to make sure she stays safe" then my father asked if we told her before telling him that we haven't said anything to her & weren't sure if we should or not, from what she's told me which wasn't easy that not only did Nick drug her, he raped & carved the word "whore" into her torso and she almost died because whatever he drugged her with completely paralyzed her then when she was panicking her body forgot how to breathe.
Dad it was horrible, just to see the look on her face when she was telling me what happened I couldn't help but cry then of course I wanted to kill Nick right away for putting her through it. When I looked at my parent's faces they were both crying but they did agree that even though she does have a right to know seeing as it does concern her, it wouldn't be right to put more stress on her especially having her worry or thinking back to the attack since we know she had to have had terrible nightmares for quite a while.
