As Silver, Wendy, and Amber walked back to the hotel Silver's phone got another message that read "Still alive?" After glancing at the message another popped up that said "Don't answer that I already know the answer." Moments later another text popped up that read "I hear Tomica Corp has been after you, I wanna help you take them down, those bastards have ruined my life for far too long and it's about time I got some revenge." Silver let out a sigh and said "Even more weirdos found me." Wendy glanced at him and asked, "Are there more metal arm people?"
Silver glanced at her and said "No nothing like that, just some guy found my number and wants me to help him topple Tomica Corp." silver glanced back at his phone and seen two images attached. One of the images had a strange device and the other was a closet full of cash. Silver stared at the image and after a few seconds another message popped up that read "All this money is yours on completion, and that device will enhance your reflexes beyond a normal human." Silver stared at it for a second and said "But my reflexes are already better than an average person."
The next message read "I know what your thinking, now here me out, let's combine your already inhuman reflexes with this device to make you an almost unstoppable force." Silver began to type but just before he sent a message he received one that read "Don't bother sending a message, I'll be waiting inside your hotel room with the device." Silver turned his phone off and said "I might actually be able to retire with this." Wendy stared at him and said, "You're looking happy, did you get good news?"
Silver's smile grew wider as he said "I just got offered a strange device that increases my reflexes and a closet full of money just to take down a company, I might be able to retire pretty soon." Wendy stared at him and asked, "How do you know he's not gonna try to kill you?" Silver picked Amber up and began to dash towards the hotel while shouting "It's better to focus on the positive!"
Silver glanced at Amber while running and said "If I can retire I'll be able to spend lots more time with you!" Amber stared at him and said, "I can spend all day with you?" Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, and after a while, I can come out of hiding and me and you can get a nice house with a tv and your own room." Amber stared at him and said, "My own room might be scary... and lonely." Silver smiled and said, "Don't worry, if you don't want your own room you can always stay in a room with me." Amber nodded and said, "That sounds better than being alone."
Silver stopped running and asked, "Is Wendy still close behind?" Amber glanced behind them and said, "I think you'd better wait, I can't see her anymore." Silver glanced at the hotel and said "We can just wait a bit for her." After around ten minutes Wendy caught up to them and asked "Why did you begin running?" Silver smiled and said, "The guy with the device is inside already." Silver stared at them and said, "Do me a favor and wait outside for five or so minutes." Wendy and Amber glanced at each other as Wendy asked "Are you sure he won't try to kill you?"
Silver began to walk in as he smiled and said "Only one way to find out." Wendy glanced at Amber and said, "We'll give him five minutes first okay?" Amber nodded and said, "If that man tries to hurt Silver I'm sure it'll be fine." Wendy nodded and said, "Yeah, I'm sure Silver will kill him if he tries anything." As Silver stood outside the door he asked "Am I supposed to knock to enter my own home if someone's already inside?" Silver pushed the door open and said "Nah that would be stupid."
As the door was wide open Silver glanced at a guy who was laying on a bed. The guy sat up and said, "Good you've finally arrived." The man walked towards Silver holding a strange tool that opened up to reveal a very sharp knife. The man pointed to the ground and said "Lay down, I'll begin the procedure immediately, I don't have much time and they'll be after me again shortly." Silver laid down on the ground and asked "Shouldn't I be hooked up to some device or something?" The man put a rag in Silver's mouth and said "Bite down for a moment."
As Silver bit down onto the rag the man cut Silver's stomach open and said, "I don't have time to put you to sleep, I have to tamper with a few of your organs first." Silver continued to bite down on the rag as he mumbled "How... long will this... take," however it was barely understandable and he was ignored. The man stared at him and said "Sorry about the shirt but like I said I don't have time to sit around and wait for you to take it off." The man put a small gun up to Silver's nose and said "You might die from this but I'm confident you won't."
The man smiled and said, "It should be just like what you said in that video right?" Silver spit the rag aside and asked "What?" The man pulled the trigger and said "You know, the line about being one tough bastard to kill." Silver's eyes froze open as he laid there on the floor motionless. The man stood up and glanced at his watch as he asked "Did he not make it?" The man stood there for another thirty seconds and said "Damn, he died during the process, now I have to find someone else to beat those bastards."
As he left Amber and Wendy passed him on the way in and seen Silver laying there on the ground. Wendy pushed Amber outside of the room quickly and said "Please wait there for a moment." Wendy slowly approached Silver's body and stared at the gaping hole in his stomach and the blood dripping out of him that covered the floor." Wendy kneeled down to Silver's corpse and began to cry as she asked "What am I supposed to tell Amber?"
As Wendy glanced behind her she saw Amber standing by the door clutching the cat plushie Silver had won her. Wendy glanced back at Silver's body and said "It looks like we were right to be worried." Amber began to walk towards Silver's body with tears in her eyes as she said "He can't be dead, he wouldn't die and just leave me." Amber collapsed on top of his chest and said "Please don't die." Wendy put a hand on her shoulder and said "He's already dead, he hasn't been breathing since we walked into this room."
Wendy stared at Amber while wiping her own tears and said "I'll take care of you, I'm sure that's what Silver would've wanted." Amber glanced at Wendy and said, "But I wanna keep living with Silver, it should end just like the stories, the hero shouldn't die he should get a happy ending." Wendy picked Amber up and said, "This isn't some fairytale, we can't expect things to go our way." As Amber and Wendy began to leave the room Silver breathed heavily and sat up while saying "Everything was dark... what happened?"
Silver began to feel his stomach and asked "Am I still alive?" Wendy and Amber stared at him still crying. Amber jumped out of Wendy's arms and ran towards Silver jumping at him and holding onto him while saying "I thought you were gonna leave me all alone!" Wendy ran towards him and held onto him as well as she said "You're alive!" Silver sat there awkwardly for a moment and asked "Did something happen that I don't know about?" Wendy and Amber continued to hold onto him as Wendy said "When we walked in you had a gaping hole in your chest and weren't breathing."
Silver glanced at his stomach and said "There's no hole, and I'm still breathing." Wendy let go of him and said "It must've healed but seeing it nearly scared us to death." Silver put a hand on the back of Amber's head and held her close as he said "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you both." Amber continued to hold onto him and crying as Silver said "Then that darkness I saw was the afterlife." Silver sat there for a moment and said "I didn't see any light." Wendy stared at him and said, "That's probably because you've killed people."
Silver sighed and said, "I better enjoy my life while I still got it." Amber glanced up at Silver and said "You shouldn't go to hell, your my hero, and all heroes should go to heaven." Silver smiled at her and said, "I'm glad you think of me that way, but I'm pretty sure I'm more of a villain." Amber held onto him and said, "No, you're my hero."
