As Silver's phone went off while he and Amber were asleep he glanced at it and mumbled "I must've slept in, it's probably Jax with info on my next job." Silver grabbed his phone off of the nightstand and stared at the message as it read "That creature has traces of technology from Tomica Corp, they apparently had a break in a while ago, someone might've stolen technology from them and created this thing." Silver stared at the message and said "Guess it's not time to get up yet."
Silver went to set the phone down but just before putting it on the nightstand it received another text." Silver sighed and said, "That's probably Jax." Silver glanced at the message and read "This is from Jax, I had to use another phone so they couldn't trace it, but just know that you pissed off someone when you raided the Tomica Corp CEO office for information." Silver stared at the message and said "So that's linked to this." Silver put his phone away and said "Guess I better get ready to start the day."
As someone knocked on the door he walked out of the bedroom and mumbled "Looks like this shitty hotel room is gonna get another visitor." Silver pulled the door open and seen a gun aimed at his head. Silver glanced behind him towards the bedroom and said "I wasn't expecting any visitors." The man with a gun had glasses on and a suit as he pushed his glasses up with his free hand and said "Spare me the chit-chat, we have you surrounded." Silver glanced at the gun and said "Let me guess, Tomica Corp?" The man smiled and said, "This makes killing you much simpler."
Silver put his hands up and said "I know the drill, but do me a favor and leave the bedroom alone." The man glanced towards the room and began to slowly walk towards it as he asked "Why, are you hiding something in there?" Silver glanced at him and said, "If you do go in keep it quiet." The man stood with his back towards the door as he peaked in with the gun still aiming at Silver. The man stared at Amber for a few seconds and said "I wasn't told you had a kid."
Silver shrugged and said, "Even if you knew, would it have changed the outcome." The man pushed his glasses up once again and said "I am also a father, I have a little girl as well." The man walked towards Silver and held the gun to his back as he said "As a fellow father I'm sure you don't want your kid to see your cold dead body." Silver nodded and said, "At least you know where I'm going with this." Silver and the man began to walk out of the room as Silver glanced at the man and asked "Can you pull my phone out and tell Wendy to find Amber somewhere else to stay."
The man smiled and said, "As a hitman I know you'd just use that opportunity to take my gun and shot me." The man pushed the gun into his back and said "You do it yourself, and no funny business." Silver slowly reached into his pocket and called Wendy. Silver glanced at the man and said "This will just take a minute." As the phone call started Wendy said "Hello, what do you need?" Silver glanced up at the roof and said, "In around an hour I need you to come here and pick up Amber, I'll leave her to you so if you can't take care of her please find someone who can."
Wendy paused for a moment before asking "Why what's wrong?" Silver smiled and said, "I might die, so if I do, please make sure she finds a suitable place to live, don't give her to anyone you wouldn't trust." Wendy began to shout "What do yo-." Silver stared at the phone and said "Hanging up mid-conversation seems a bit rude, but I guess it doesn't matter since I probably don't have much time left." Silver tossed the man his phone and said "There's probably a few contacts in there you wouldn't trust, so go on and scroll through so you know I don't have anything planned."
As the two of them arrived in an alleyway the man shot him in the chest three times and said "Your job as a hired hand is over now, Rest In Peace." The man's eye flashed blue for a split second and a lens fell out. After a few minutes, the man stared at Silver and said "Now get your ass up, we can stop acting now." Silver rolled over and said, "You didn't have to... shoot me... three times, one would've been... enough." The man smiled and said, "Like I'd pass up the opportunity to shoot your dumb ass." Silver stared at him and said "Jax must've told you... to work underneath them."
The man put his gun away and said "That thing in my eye, I'm surprised you noticed it." Silver nodded and said, "Yeah... me too." The man began to walk away as he said "That thing was monitoring everything that happened, I'll be leaving now, they won't be too happy knowing I betrayed them, so count yourself lucky I didn't finish the job." Silver stood up and said, "Guess another shower is overdue." The man glanced behind himself and said "Oh and one more thing, we should get our daughters together and have a play date."
Silver stood there for a moment and said "Right... daughter." Silver watched as he walked away and said "It's been a long while since I've seen anyone I've worked with, a reunion like this is long overdue." Silver began to walk back into the hotel as he mumbled "Still though, three times is a bit overkill." As he stood at the entrance of the hotel Wendy busted in panting heavily and shouted "Where's Silver!" Silver glanced at her for a moment and said "Guess she wasn't aware that it was an act."
Wendy noticed him and began to run towards him as she asked while breathing heavily "What was that phone call about?" Silver stared at her and said, "Sorry, I had to fake my own death in order to stay alive, I figured calling you and feeding them a sob story would be the best way to make it believable." Silver bowed and said, "Sorry for making you worry, please forgive me and if anything does actually happen to me I really do want you to find her a new place to live."
Wendy stared at him and said, "You gave me a fricken hard attack, I ran all the way here!" Silver stared at her and said, "Look I'm really sorry about that okay, please forgive me." Wendy stared at him and said "Fine, I'll forgive you if you show me your hotel room." Silver stared at her and asked, "Wait, why that?" Wendy stared at the blood dripping off of him and said "I can also watch Amber while you get that blood off of you." Silver stared at her confused and said "Okay, but don't say I didn't already tell you it would be boring and bland."
Wendy stared at him excitedly and said "You don't even have to worry about me being bored, because so accidentally forgot to bring my purse and instead brought a crafts bag." Silver glanced at the bag and said "Oh, I thought you just need yarn, paper, and glue for something." Wendy shook her hands in embarrassment and asked "Do I really seem like someone who would carry around strange objects for no reason?" Silver turned back around and said, "How about we just agree to forget about it." Wendy nodded and said, "Let's just leave it at as a simple mistake."
As they entered the room Amber stood there at the door with tears in her eyes crouched down in front of the door. Silver stared at her and asked, "What's wrong?" Amber glanced up at him and said "You were gone when I woke up, I thought you abandoned me." Silver crouched down to her and put his hand on her head as he said "I wouldn't abandon you, if I left you somewhere I'd definitely come back to get you." Silver smiled and said, "There was just a little problem, besides that everything is fine, look even Wendy came to visit you."
Amber wiped her face and said, "I'm sorry for crying for such a dumb reason." Silver hugged her and said, "There's nothing dumb about that, you were scared and so you cried." Amber began to cry some more as she said "But I was so scared that you were gone forever." Silver loosened his grip and said, "No, of course, I wouldn't do that, but I am gonna have to leave for a minute to get this blood off of me, so do you think you can be brave for a while and hang out with Wendy?"
Amber clutched her dress and nodded as Wendy said "Yeah, I even brought some stuff to do some crafts." Wendy reached into her bag and pulled out some glue and yarn as she said "Come on let's begin so we can make all sorts of stuff." Silver glanced at Wendy and said, "Sorry to call you out on the weekend." Wendy stared at him and said, "I'm actually quite happy you decided to rely on me, even if it was just a temporary act."
