Chapter 1 - Part One: In the Middle of Hell

1: In The Middle of Hell*

Blaze: (Tuesday the 3rd of January, 2042 as same dates of January 2023)

Sitting on the watchtower in the daylight time in Oklahoma was really starting to bother me.

I needed to make a stop to it, I mean I really liked nightfall...it was more mysterious and comforting.

Quiet was exactly what I needed,

Which is exactly why I finally decided to change my sleeping schedule to daytime.

I never liked staying in the brightness anyway.

In this watchtower their was lots to see over this small village. I had been staying here in this watchtower for years, and I could even see the community a few feet from me, Tundra's.

I had barely known him. He only texted. He worried about my community, more than himself actually.

I only met him once every month for our small trading system that we had.

We traded fish, vegetables, meats, and fruits at most. We could barely trade anything such as home essentials, those, you could barely find around here..

Finding home essentials was rare, just like visitors here, barely showing themselves.

Our community was like everyone else's, quiet, and had very few people.

In mine and Tundra's combined, I would have to say barely 70.

On the behalf of Tundra, he was a nice soul as I could tell, he had lived on the other side of my community that we shared our whole...friendship.

We had met and made our own communities ourselves.

I had chosen to be alone.

The only sign we made to get to our communities was the highway sign that read Purcell, Oklahoma..

We covered it up and wrote... 'follow Route 39 off the highway and go down it, as you see an old dirt road/path...Community of Shikasai'...

Tundra had made it entirely.

I only really paid attention to the people that lived on my land..

I mean in all honesty, I never paid attention to anything mostly than to the border mountains.

Separating my people from my evil brother is all that it did, keeping this community safe..which is all I needed to know or care about.

My 'brother', he had a name but I hated saying it.

Axel.

Axel and I became enemies the day he found out my powers were more effective than his.

There's more to the story but still, it's the honest truth.

To be honest, I never told anyone in general what I am, which is a vampire demon, I don't need to anyways..

It's not like it's gonna shock anyone.

I have many powers but now that I hadn't been using them a lot, they were getting stronger by the second.

Every Time I don't use my powers, they build up until they are forced to come out, mostly by my anger.

I always got into fights with my brother when we were younger, but now he has his own community, so he just leaves us alone....not like that will never happen.

Or will ever stop happening..

I mean my brother's community is a few miles from mine, well more like 200 feet from his entrance, but 20 miles from that is the actual community.

Yet on my part I can't believe that he couldn't just come in my community and take it.

I always keep my thoughts closed by a wall I use to cover my emotions inside.

I can't imagine my brother not listening to me at this moment and reading my mind..

The best thing I can do is close out all my personal thoughts to the world.

Bringing up a barrier is what you have to do nowadays.

Barriers keep people from knowing who you actually are, protecting yourself more than others.

No one would want their past to just show up out of nowhere, which is what mine does.

If only I was alone in this body of mine, maybe I would be less mentally disturbed..

Maybe it's just because of what I used to be..

I can hear everyone else's thoughts, well the people who I think are suspicious or matter...

Which is no one. Not anymore.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tundra (Time of 5:00pm)
Still waiting on the text, the kind that you always get from a friend, Blaze was my friend...wasn't he?
Currently I am sitting outside on a bench in the center of my community, known as the 'Center Point'.
It was boring without his texts, even if he barely texted me.
What can I say, I'm a lonely Tundra.
From winter, turning into an early spring, the weather had been getting more choosy...
One day it would be all sunshine and 70 to becoming 45 the next day, even in the sunshine!
These radical weather changes were making it hard to work.
The Community Garden, as I call it, is owned by Firestar, one of my closest friends that I know.
It's her own garden, Fire has put alot of work into it, she plants alot of flowers and seeds.
Firestar working in her garden and painting 24/7 to my other 'friend' Malcolm guarding, I haven't done much of anything.
Everything nowadays has been quiet, there is barely any new celebrations, or even get-togethers.
There's been a dark vibe growing on this land lately, if only it was simple to send away..
Maybe it was because of Axel; or the stress everyone has been through lately, or maybe the silence, just silence..
Wind blowing into the warm athmosphere on a bright sunny day, silence..
Patrolling is my life now.
Well, ever since Blaze's brother was visited by a psychic, Axel claims that new things are gonna change in a short amount of time.
Yeah, my life is kinda crazy.
The argument started by a psychic, telling Axel, that new magic, or new powers are gonna emerge from our village, our village!
That was a month ago..
Nothing has changed. I call on what Axel, or even his psychic said, is bull..
When Blaze tried explaining things to his brother (I was there), his brother brought up the fact that Blaze's power will never be stronger then his...
Which Axel's is stronger in my opinion, I had never seen Blaze fight...yet with Axel, his name puts fear into everyones eyes.
Well anyways, yes I do need more people around here; travelers, or even new passerby folks hasn't shown up since months ago!
It's been quiet lately, yet with Blaze, maybe things can change.
I mean he's been here a while, but I want him to give me ideas, something to help me upgrade.
I just wanted new ideas to keep my people safe.
I mean it's like a feeling that if he met any of my friends like Firestar, or Malcolm, we would all be friends...yet he seems distant.
Malcolm usually works guarding the North walls of the border, or when he's off he drinks into his sorrows because of his wife, (she died from cancer).
I needed to stop thinking I could fix everyone, but nothing is giving me the hint to stop.
I usually have my phone on speed dial for him in case things fall out between my people, nothing yet though. I've known him barely over 2 years.
The phones that we got, are from the new mobile agency thats over 200 miles from here.
A man named Shiloh, stole a whole bunch of them from that station and brought them here.
Apparently back in the day, people had IPhones, Samsungs, and Androids..
Here we only have two different phones, IPhones shipped from The Eastern America, and from Massachusets, where the supernaturals had begun, decades ago.
When me and him found each other we had made protection rights with eachother's Communities, The Community of Shikasai.
Of both of our agreements, we had only made it crucial that we only call each other during, a case of a fire, a threat, or even a war...
It was kind of quick thinking for me, well since I had come up with it..
He always kept his distance, I mean I saw him..but not a lot.
I never even named my community yet. We are barely connected by a chain-link fence that had been installed by me. There was still a door to it, allowing small trades to happen, or even people to move through our communities.
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
It's exactly 5pm so I decide to stay in and sleep the rest of the night.
Our watchtowers are being accompanied by Malcolm and Lamphere. Lamphere is on the watchtower near my house, and Malcolm is near the boundary of mine, and Blaze's community.
Which is called Shikasai. If only I knew the definition to the mysterious name, and the meaning behind it. When Blaze told me about that name it confused me..
Who names a community, Shikasai?!
I walk to my house, past the old watchtower that no one works at. Then glance below it and view Firestar's house, which is placed perfectly under it.
The house and the watchtower are so close together because way before we moved here, this whole place was a training center for men going into combat.
Firestar's house is lightly coated yellow, with chips of paint wearing away from scarce renovations on the exterior of the house.
It may look small on the outside, but on the inside it's big..it's a one story house full of sunflowers and even a small art room in the back near her bedroom.
Even with a one bedroom and one bathroom, it is still a big house to me.
Everyone's houses were all different, yet the same in a particular way.
The only house that is unique among the rest is my own house, it's the biggest, and is over 2 stories high.
My house is connected to everyone else's, it stands at the end of the dirt road, yet on the left and right side of my house are two different roads that lead to two entirely different places around the community.
One path leads to the forest, as the other takes you to a secret backroad that takes you to a hidden library filled with our wifi servers..and of course, books..
The dirt road is probably like over 4 acres from my house to the border, which is the border of mine and Blaze's..
The dirt road paths lead to other various parts of Oklahoma, over 200 acres from the back of my house is the wolf lands..
We somewhat trade, once in a great while, but...barely.
Walking past Firestar's house along with the watchtower, I follow the end of the dirt road path to my house.
I open my wooden door and enter into my abode.
Walking into my bedroom towards the back of the house, I stare at my nightstand that's on the right side of my bed, across from my closet door.
As I walk towards the closet doors, I swing them both open looking at what clothes I should wear for the night..
I decide to change into a white t-shirt with red shorts, then glance in the mirror, and just continue wondering how everything could never change..
Not fast enough..
My house is on the far West side of the community, as Firestars is closer to the middle section of the community, which is Southwest.
Just because we are on the same road, doesn't mean it doesn't have turns.
Usually when a passerby comes from miles away, they usually get a tour..
The tour mostly consists of the passerby on the dirt road following you, as you explain the rules, house plans, and evacuation plans (in case of an emergency).
Once you enter the community border, the main entrance is about 10 minutes North from my house..
Taking the dirt road from the front of my house, as you go straight, it leads you to a right turn which takes you maybe 5 minutes (walking) until you get to the main entrance.
To get to my house to Firestars, it's at least a 5 minute walk, her house is on the corner of the right that you make to get to the main entrance.
So, if Firestar wanted to go to the main entrance, it would take her a 5 minute walk.
Walking back outside I find Firestar on my porch-swing blaring music through her radio, I stop the swing and look at her raising an eyebrow as I look at the opposite side of the swing. Sitting alone she still has positivity, always making the good from the bad..
She smiles.
Firestar, or Fire as I like to call her, has been my friend after Blaze...it happened quickly, well kind of...
Her now ex-husband, (even without the divorce papers..) had been abusing her...one day I had found her on the side of the road leading back to the main entrancein a blood-stained white nightgown.
I picked her up, watching her limp getting into my truck and sat in silence as she told me, shaking, stuttering, that she had to go back home.
She had began to tell me that he was sleeping before she had snuck out, trying to look for 'a new beginning', she had said.
Then she had realized she had no where else to go, but back to her demise..
Tears were coming out of her eyes as she spoke, my heart filling with sudden anxiety and rage that I never knew I had..
"H-he would j-just t-take the pl-pleasure, the-the pain, out on me. He-he's never been like thi-this before.." she was sobbing, and her voice cracks began to get worse. Barely speaking, I knew I had found someone broken, and used. Even though she was older then me, by little, and me barely knowing her, or trusting her even..
I knew I had to help.
I pulled over, exactly 6 minutes from her house, I found out on our way there, before she told me many stories; about her pain, the fear, the trauma, the terrrorizing, and even the rape..
Her husband Chad was a mean drunk, and when I got into his house I saw him sitting on the couch with a beer in his hand. My jaw clenched as I fast walked to him and punched him in the jaw and yelled at him. A few seconds later he walked up to me as I was helping Firestar pack. He laughed and chuckled as I turned around and got hit hard in the eye. My eye was dripping hot salt water and some mixed in blood. I had gotten to my breaking point and lashed out yelling,
"She's a woman for crying out loud! Ya know where folks like you belong?"
He was a few feet from me then began to run towards me, his beer splashing on the ground out of the glass container...
"PRISON!" I punched his gut as he tumbled backwards.
All I could focus on was her tears, crying, and how ugly and purified his face would look if I hit him hard enough.
I gave him a slight minute to defend himself, but nothing, he was all wobbly and not even worried, he was grinning as he collided and fell backwards on the china cabinet. I then noticed his body weight, he was skinny and you could just see the happiness through his dark devilish navy eyes.
He also had dark brown hair shaved like a buzz cut. Wearing a stained bloody dark brown shirt, wet from the beer and his jeans stained brown to black. His hands were even stained blackish. Was he a construction worker?
I walked up to him and threw a white china vase at his head. Blood began dripping down the side of his head and he laughed feeling his head and seeing blood.
My eyes become all flashy, through my pupils I could see back and forth red and white.
As soon as he looked at his hand he looked at me and a sudden anger flashing through his eyes.
"Did you just do this to me? Ae you fucking serious?..." he looked behind me and saw Firestar.
"Baby, come here." he said as he tried to get closer to her I shoved him back and began to fast walk to the door where Firestar was.
She had her bag of clothes and her cell as she stood at the door panicking, sweat dripping down her forehead and shaking. That's when I knew we had to leave, I looked back at him and heard the door open.
Following her I heard a yell and something heavy hit the ground like a rock...
Running closer to my truck, we heard a loud yell and a shotgun go off.
We lived it.
She and I got in serious conversations after that and I was told by her that she was an immortal and was way older than me but she looked 30. She had orange hair and blonde highlights, with bluish green eyes.
It was then I realized I was deep in thought as my phone went off.
'I need Help Now!'
It was from Blaze..
I bolted up and ran to my door to grab my shoes and that's when I heard gunshots and people screaming, and even running near the border from Blaze's community.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Firestar

I could smell the smoke and hear the screams of innocent lives as I walked out of my house. I was at Tundra's then headed home and blared my music. Suddenly I heard a huge bomb or explosion through my own music.

I ran closer to the other community barely making it through the chain fence door without being shoved by children, parents, and some other immortals.

One of our guards named Gerald had been escorting people to old neighboring houses that held no families yet. Even to houses with families...I had been told.

Houses that were built had barely anything scavangeable inside...

Just beds, dressers, and a usable kitchen. There were bathrooms too but they weren't as full of items to use as other houses did that were full of families.

A few beds in the houses including an oven in most, to make it easier.

We also had a marketplace on the Eastside near the gardens, where my house was.

My house is currently located under a watchtower, some people used the watchtower and others claimed that we were fine and protected, so its been empty for a while.

To me, the more protection the better.

My house was a few minutes walk from Tundra's, his was on the last plot before the forest that connects us to another community that is 4 days away...(by walk).

The marketplace was on the right of my house, it opens at 2pm and ends at 8pm. It's mostly quiet people just do trades there.

Trades including food, and even household items. Items are given away to, but sometimes to be fair we needed trade.

~~~~~
I finally run to the other community, feeling emotions of families or just people who were alone...some being children and teenagers.
Broken, tired, angry, ashamed, and depressed.
Losing everything sucks...I had been there before.
Working so hard for something then losing it in a matter of months, to years..or even days.
Walking and finding the broken gate to the other community, I had found a standoff, at least 10 minutes away from Tundra's and the other leaders border...
This broken gate section was known as Axel's border who always threatened us at times, and the other leaders border as well.
I had never met the other leader I had heard odd things about him though. I just call them ridiculous rumors.
The broken gate had broken glass and even some new blood stains, someone had an even bigger fight here then the three girls.
The gate was made out of wood, even still broken, I noticed it had changed. Things were broken off of it, along with graffiti..
Something else had happened here earlier.
There were 3 girls being fought by one of the Havens people on the far side of the standoff.
In the standoff a black haired man with an unknown dominance feeling towards him was with Tundra and what I think could be the leader of the Havens. The Havens Leader.
The black haired man was talking to the leader, his bold shoulders, and his effective stance ready to fight. I rolled my eyes, as I told myself f---- it and ran behind them to get the girls. One teen as I found out was unconscious, yet she looked kind of older.
I turned around as I felt the Havens leaders eyes stare right through me at me but rolled his eyes in the process.
As if saying he knows I'm about to lose...
Seeing a little teen suffer by pinning was never, ever gonna be okay in my opinion. Anger struck me as an urge and tingling of adrenaline fueled me.
Rushing towards him, I punched the guy in the back of the head with a brick I had found.
As he groaned in pain I jumped up and kicked his stomach in causing him to fall backwards against the brick wall from a building.
When I turned around I grabbed a girls hand and that's where he pushed my back.
I tripped over a rock and fell on my stomach. I felt my eyes change to a deep red.
I saw he was in front of me, as he rushed to go to his leader.
Feelings of pain, my past and everything collided, as I punched his nose and heard a slight snap.
He grasped his nose as I picked up the unconscious girl that was being held by a teen and pulled the other one with me towards freedom...
One of the teens turned around and kicked him in the balls with her heels. The girls both had two briefcases and a big bookbag on each of them.
We ran back around the standoff as the dark haired man stared at me in confusion then turned back around, his eyes glancing over me.
I dropped the girls off at the border with a few other guards and Tundra's soldier who carried her as I came back to the standoff...
I then realized Tundra had followed me, hearing his footsteps.
Tundra ran next to me reviewing the place past the border and I followed him towards the dark haired man who was standing across from the Haven leader.
Fierceness in the dark-haired man struck attention to me as I pushed it away and walked forward striking the Haven leaders attention.
I was now standing next to the black haired man and Tundra who was on the other side.
"Brother just leave our community alone, we have nothing, accept the good of our communities!" the dark haired-man yelled angrily. His voice could break a stone, cold as ice...
Dangerous..
I had then realized he was on our side..
He was the other leader the rumors were about.
The leader of Haven looked at him and laughed...
"Oh Blaze, if it were only as simple as that..." I walked forward ignoring the Haven leader, seeing him stare at me with such curiosity and hesitance to say something.
Blaze was the dark-haired man...how odd...
Anger struck me and I spoke up for both our communities accept Havens.
I took a step forward staring at Axel as I did so.
"Leave these people the hell alone, you just cost our communities a ton of people, even children!" Anger pulsed through my body as I walked forward almost face to face with the Haven Leader...he stepped back crossing his arms as I began again,
"Have you ever thought about who you hurt? Damn I guess men like you just can't control his thoughts, his own mind! So step off..." I said stepping even closer. I was in his face as my hands curled into fists...
He looked amused as he kept his dirty look.
"Go bug a community that has better goods, or that is even more powerful than your own. Then if you survive then we will see that you are a strong community like you say that you are!" I yelled and shoved him with my hands, he fell back but caught his stance.
I walked next to Tundra, my breathing slowed down as the Haven leader laughed and chuckled..
Then I turned my back towards him and said loud enough in a dark voice..
"Unless your weak..." I say quietly, slightly teasing, but loud enough for them to hear, a smirk appearing on my face as Blaze eyes me and rolls his eyes
"Hah! Who is this little miss sunshine?" he said checking my body out. "Pathetic. I could make you of good use, angel..." he winks and puts his hands to his sides, "...if you come and stay in my community you could become even stronger. Thanks to a curse..", he says eyeing Blaze then stares at me and winks..staring at me with wicked evil in his eyes...
Gross.
My eyes grow darker, maybe even brighter, as I made eye contact with who was known as Blaze and find him grinning, hell possibly smirking...his dark black hair shined against the moon as his arms showed some muscle.
His body type was the same as an MMA Fighter, yet Blaze..was more appealing..his red eyes..
I turn away from him and think, 'Who in the hell grins at a fight like this one?'.
I swallow my pride and move my head so he knows I wasn't staring.
'He knows..' my thoughts scream.
Turning around, the Haven leader stares at us, becoming more serious with every glare in his eyes scanning us.
I realize my work has been done.
He begins to walk off back into what was now known as the Haven Territory.
We had lost.
His soldiers begin putting up signs and bringing out hammers and huge supplies of wood and carts of machinery.
They keep setting up as we stare at them work, this could all mean one thing, the community of Blaze's called Shikisai was now collided with Tundra's people...
Two communities as one.
"The battles just beginning brother, but thanks for the new community!" he says as he walks into the darkness at the entrance of his broken bridge entrance.
He had won...Blaze had fallen.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Cassidy

I wake up after the 2 way fight..I was in a dream, I was floating and a...a war was still in place...

I hadn't remembered much, just one of Axel's hitchman coming to take the girls away...

I had fought back, a few punches, but the hitchman ended up stabbing my shoulder blade causing pain whenever I moved...then the feeling of a jagged knife being cut into my side before I passed out falling on the dark wet dirt.

Opening my eyes I look across a new room and sight, rather different from the darkness.

I look around me in a panic, where the hell was I?

It was brighter in here...

My heart races as the nurse glances at me.

I was lying on an old green couch, like a living room...with a smell that reminded me of anesthesia and crushed up pills which confused me...

Is this a hospital?

White walls welcomed me as my eyes scanned the room, I saw the twins sat in two different chairs in front of me.

Their eyes were focused on me...I had saved them...

Had I? Then why was I here and not..

Dead.

Lannie moved off the chair across from me and sat next to me on the couch, moving my legs off the couch and on her lap.

We were somewhere safe, I'd hoped, new even. Where the hell were we?

I stared at the twins Lannie and Lonna. They were staring me down, they were only like 16 and 18, born in different years but they still looked almost the same, yet they acted completely different.

They had no mother, only but a nurse, who was barely able to care for them, so I took them in under my protection and were fine living in Blaze's community, until his wicked brother came in.

It was so odd how it felt like me and Blaze always related to each other..

We were always dark and quiet but then we had this instinct to kick whoevers ass messed with our own.

Yet I never saw him fight, not even once.

I did see him fight off some families that were under Axels spell. He had his own witch, I was for sure he did.

If anyone messed with our people or even closer than that, they would most likely die.

I mean I had no problems with that...

My inner demon smirks.

Blaze was the one who saved me under a crumbling school when a bomb threat was in my area the same time a fire, or maybe an explosion occurred. The building caved in and hit the gasoline tanks and a fire like explosion happened as children including me were being pulled out through the entrance...

We were all huddled near the entrance with the doors open when it happened.

The explosion had occured right behind us. Right behind us the teachers had closed the metal doors. We were the after school kids, even though I was only 18 at this time as a senior.

He helped me through a lot, including controlling some of my powers, I had trained with him for months until I just stopped, I just didn't feel any use of it.

'Did I need training now?,' I think.

Things changed with me and I just felt like giving up.

I have more powers than the ones he knows about. I just have no idea if he knows that the demon that's been living inside of me. The demon, making my anger fuze stronger minute by minute when something or someone upset me.

"Who saved me...Blaze?" I said as I sat up and found an ice pack taped to my head. It was wrapped around in a huge bandage like in WWII. I read too much into WWII..

"No darlin' a woman by the name of Firestar.." a fat nurse lady came in..her southern accent caught me off guard though...

She had light brown hair and dark brown eyes. She was chunky-ish but not bad.

"Glad you think I'm fat, but it's because of here' these fake pregnancy bellies I'm tryin' in case I get pregnant." she said as she smiled.

I looked at her with a fake smile and I put my shield up, hiding my thoughts.

I only allowed Lonna and Lannie to look at them whenever they have questions about me, only opening certain parts about my life.

The life I remembered..

The twins loved me, I could tell. I loved them to as my own..

Lonna was the sassy 18 year old girl and Lannie was the cute and innocent 16 year old...

They're parents were less strict on Lonna than Lannie, I had saved them and found them with a nurse from the an abandoned community, as I told them even though it was in an old abandoned woman's house.

A tear falls down my face as I recall the memories I had in that house..

After that I took them to Blaze's community after seeing a town and we fended for ourselves.

Blaze helped us, but I mostly liked doing things on my own.

The twins and I got closer over time, and now they see me as there mother

"Mum.." Lannie said looking at me as I looked up at her.

"Your blonde hair is turning black in the middle up top.." she said feeling my hair, and putting her hands through it..

It was true, ever since I began to learn more about my powers and practicing them secretly, my hair had been darkening a bit.

I'm 5'4" and have long blonde hair, a few inches past my shoulders...and I guess black highlights with gray eyes. My eyes have always changed according to my mood, a dark gray when I was upset or angry, and a light blue when I was happy or calm.

"I'm okay girls I promise..." I said as the nurse stared and grinned.

She walked out of the room and had come back I'd noticed, because this time she had a clipboard.

"Alright dear, your eh...kids?" she said confused...

"Well anyways. They told me that your name is Cassidy, and that you are twenty-two and that you're also a demon.."

Lonna sighed.

"I told her not to tell the nurse.." I nod.

"She asked and I was-." Lannie stutters, "...at least I was honest!" Lannie said shyly. Lannie looked at me sad and cuddled up closer to me.

Lonna walked up to me and hugged me. I could feel Lonna's sour but happy mood and Lannie's excitement.Β  They were happy I was fine and out of harm.

That's when everything changed when that damn front door opened and scared me.

~~~~~~~~
Tundra
I walk through the nurses front door and find a short blond, she looks at me cautiously as the two girls next to her squeeze her like it's the last hope...
They look at me and one of them gets up and walks to a seat far from her and the other just stays on her hip.
The blonde has a bandage on her forehead with an ice pack.
She must've been in battle..
I understood, that she wasn't from here...I could easily tell.
The blonde was already protecting two little girls...was she a mother?
I go in the kitchen and see the nurse, she begins to tell me information about the patient..
She was the only one injured.
"She's a female from the Shikasai and her name is Cassidy..."
She says it like its her first word. It makes my day that Firestar saved someone...
Firestar was bragging about it as we walked back.
Proud of herself, she also seemed different.
I go to the door to the end trance to the waiting room, and tell Cassidy about the sleep plan, that it was random.
Nodding, she looks the other way as I leave to go talk to Blaze...
I hear footsteps and glance towards the sound, which pointed me in the direction to the Center Point.
I find Firestar walking and Blaze following not far behind her.
He's fast walking after Firestar who's also fast walking..
I wonder what his deal is.
Walking to the bonfire, she sits on a rock and Blaze looks intrigued by her.
I see then that curiosity has sparked in his eyes as he sits farthest away from her and watches..
Distant guy..
"Who in the hell...and how in the hell do you manage to live without getting your ass kicked? You were literally in, The Middle Of Hell!?!" he says as he looks at the rocks around him furious and confused...
He stares at the fire and you can see the reflection off his eyes.
I walk closer to the Center Point where they are located.
She rolls her eyes then talks, "I'm Firestar..." she then notices me and stops staring at Blaze...
"Hey Tundra.." she says standing. Then glances at Blaze.
"...and Blaze...it takes some perks..." she says rolling her eyes and maintains eye contact with Blaze...
He rolls his eyes and sighs looking at me.
"So you're the famous Tundra? Not bad..but uh...you don't need to take things so much at once..." he says awkwardly...even I can tell he hasn't talked to anyone in a while...
Poor guy..
Firestar raises her left eyebrow and stares at me and then back at him...
This isn't going to end well...
~~~~~~~~

Firestar

"Woah! Blaze, you're telling him to 'take it low' when you just wouldn't kick the leaders ass!" She laughs, standing near me.

Blaze stares at me confused...but by what..?

He chuckles...

He fucking chuckles...

Why!?

He must hear me or something because his eyebrow raises and he slightly smirks, yet faces the darkness of the sky to hide it.

"Well perky Firestar, if I stuck up for myself half this damned community would be destroyed...would you like that to happen?" He takes a deep breath and looks at the ground...

"Anyways, I don't feel the power as much as I used to..." he shifts his feet then looks at Tundra. I can sense his lies as he doesn't stare back at me.

I stand and look back at Tundra's house.

"Excuses, that's all men give..." I mutter loud enough to hear, then I walk towards my house.

I hear Tundra snicker, then hear something fall to the ground.

Blaze

That was kinda fucked up for her to say but in my head and my unbeating heart it kinda felt...uplifting...

Firestar. That's her name, made my whole fucking year so far, just by her sticking up for me and that--that attitude.

Did I stutter? Why was she looking at me like that anyways?

The way she talked...

It could just end someones bloodline, or even make it run cold..

I find it welcoming that I can see get her cockiness and prissiness to another level.

This is my first time meeting her and im already interested..

No! Curious.

I can't wait for what's next for Mrs. Prissy..

Firestar.

I grin as I go to a middle boundary of the new spot where I will be living.

The watchtower.

I make it to the watchtower less than a minute.

Immortal perks..

I climb up the ladder with my tiny bag of blood and weapons, including a tiny spell book. I climb up and find a bed and move it to the side of the trapdoor where I climbed up on the ladder.

I will now live at the watchtower...

The watchtower is above someone's house I notice as I look down from my new high view. It's at least a hundred feet from ground level.

I see someone walk into the house and mutter to myself...oh, what the hell!!

That's when I notice...it's Firestars...

I just keep wondering...is this a sign?

Fuck
