Cassidy ( January 7th, 2042) Saturday
Everythings mostly been quiet, Blaze is always in his watchtower keeping watch, and Firestars been cooped up in her house.
I wonder what they're problem is? I shouldn't say anything, I've only come out in the mornings. I don't like socializing, that leads to more and more people wondering what the hell is wrong with me.
I only need Blaze knowing how messed up I am, well since he helped me with my powers.
I sometimes see Firestar planting and cropping the plants at her house garden. Lannie waves as I roll my eyes and she hits me with her elbow.
After that we just walked to the cafeteria.
On most days we hang out at the cafeteria or to Center Point to sit around a small fire that I had made. Everyone in the cafeteria mostly stares but Lonna doesn't care.
Lonna has been the one who mostly speaks for me when I don't want to.
When some people stare she gives them the evil eye or says,
"Step off, we're a family, at least we're still together, where is yours?" or some other snarky comment.
Lonna and Lannie have been bugging me for weeks about the park they saw while we ran into this new community, what weird teens. I know what they were mostly thinking about.
Boys probably, that's all girls think about, right? It's all they cared about, well, except periodic Tables (periods).
I was even more confused as to wonder if money counted anymore, I had found over forty-five dollars and sixty-five cents with change, does that count?
Does money count anymore?
At the moment were sitting at home, I'm in the living room as Lannie and Lonna are upstairs giggling over something.
Lonna is the more out there version of her sister, yet with an attitude but I love her.
She's what you call popular in her own egotastic world, she shows off, making people jealous as she walks, no wonder people hate us, mostly me.
She wears a red tank top and light jeans with blue flip flops, while Lannie wears a bright peach hang out sweater with a white t-shirt and white jeans with peach flip flops.
They're hair was brushed and they looked okay. I just hoped it wasn't too okay...
We left the house and I locked the door. No one was out on Saturdays I guess, it was nearly noon, so I suppose everyone's busy on the weekend.
The girls walked ahead of me and Lonna kept winking as the boys past, I wonder what's going on with her.
Was this normal?
None appealed to me, the last guy said 'hi' to them before he walked off and winked at Lonna, I mean she was showing a little bit of skin, but I didn't think that much...
"Girls!" I yelled even though they were 5 feet in front of me..
"What?" Lonna says looking at me grinning, her blondish hair blowing in the wind...
I caught up to them and sighed standing next to Lannie as Lonna just smirked.
"Girls, they could be predators out here for all I know.." I notice people beginning to come out of their homes as we pass.
An old couple walks out of their home, holding a cane in one hand and her husbands in another. They roll their eyes, they stare us down. Then the whispering begins...the old lady turns her head towards her husband and whispers loud enough for us to hear...
"They aren't like us..." she says in a hushed yet loud tone.
A gust of wind and a tingle down my spine sets me off edge.
"Just keep watch of each other, please." I say quietly.
Lonna was 18 now while her sister was 16, I could not chance another rape victim, or a murderer site, or a--
"Hey Cassidy, isn't that your guy friend?" Lonna asked while smirking.
'Really'...I roll my eyes so hard I give myself a headache. I sigh as I see him playing frisbee with a child, he was sweating through his white tank but I knew that the girls were planning something...
Taking a deep breath as Lonna stares me down with a slight smile as I begin to feel isolated...isolated by words that fog into my mind.
"You say it like she has a thing for him..." Lannie accuses chuckling...
"Well it's true! I saw it," Lonna says raising her eyebrows and pursing her lips, as to give us a sign that she's being honest.
Rolling my eyes again I do a double check of their outfits before we walk deeper into the compound...
Lonna looked more sluttish to me because of her light dirty brown hair with ash blonde tips with a curvy body as Lannie had brighter, lighter brown hair with blonde tips and was just skinny in general like her sister, yet she didn't dress like her...
'Prettier than me...' I say as I watch them play frisbee. I let the girls walk ahead and grin as Tundra throws the frisbee and the kid catches it and he chuckles in glee.
I chuckle and look straight ahead of me to see the girls walking towards the swings that were placed near the bathrooms.
Work needed to be done here, the swings sides were rusty chains and the pipes holding it together looked very dull and not perfectly rounded. Looking like a death trap I realized its all we got.
I sigh as I walk closer to them.

Tundra
I was playing frisbee with Nico, another neighbor kid, he was a bright 10 year old. He said he wanted to make frisbee an ultimate sport, but when I told him it was kind of a sport, he laughed.
Frisbee Golf...Ultimate Frisbee? Isn't that a thing though?
Nico had an odd power, different to everyone else's. His power was if he touched your hand, and he was very emotional in any way, you would get his emotions but two times the effect...
Literally if the kid hugged you or touched you, you would literally gain two-times of his emotion, and that would reflect on you for hours. The power would consume you.
The kid had a touch to him...
As I threw the frisbee to him, I spotted her...Cassidy and the twins. Lonna and Lannie. I smiled at the presence of them...I waved as the twins snickered looking at me. Cassidy looked my way, and I looked right back. We made eye contact for what I thought was a minute, until a frisbee smacked my forehead, and Nico began laughing.
I could already feel the tingling of a bruise appearing on my face.
Cassidy slightly smiled and quickly turned her head, 'did she want to hide her face from me?'.
"Ya wanna go to the swings?" I ask, as he nods and we begin walking in their direction.
He was tired of throwing a frisbee anyways. He seemed energetic earlier, but now he seemed gloomy.
The frisbee did match his shirt though I had noticed, yellow and said Blazin Speed, his shirt had black lines through the Blazin Speed though.
As we walked to the bench in front of the swings Lonna jumped off her swing she asked Nico a question.
"Are you gonna play with that?" Lonna asked as Nico gave it to her with a slight blush. Kids...
"How about all of us play a game!?" Lannie said excitedly while standing next to Lonna. Nico yelled, "I'm totally in!", the girls laughed as they ran to a spot in the far yellow grained fields leaving me with Cassidy...
She sat down on the end of the bench I sat on. The end of it. I was looking at the swings swaying in the wind, too focused on them to pay attention to what she did next.
She laid down on the bench and her legs were suddenly in my lap.
She finally noticed, and a sly blush appeared on her pale cheeks... "I'm sorry I can move them..." she said quickly sitting up swinging her legs over mine and onto the grass.
"It wasn't bothering me." I say sucking in my lips and taking a deep breath of the air.
"Tundra." I say as she nods and looks out towards the swings.
"Cassidy." she says as I nod, she scans my face and lightly smiles.
It felt uncomfortable doing nothing but sitting on a bench. I grew bored to the point where I said to myself, 'lets swing'.
I stood up and walked to the swings.
"Aren't you too old to swing?" she asked, curiosity striking her bright blue eyes.
I winked.

Cassidy
"No. Are you too old to wear teen clothes?" I rolled my eyes, he was right..short shorts with a sweater. He sorta had a point.
"True..." I said smiling at the ground, hair blowing in my face. He kept staring at me intrigued by my frizzy hair that was making a mess on my face.
"Do you wanna swing?" he asked awkwardly.
I looked at him and bit my lip, 'should I...make an effort to be nice to someone I just met?'. I hesitated as I looked up and he was sitting on a swing, waiting patiently for me.
"Uh...sure." I said, taking a deep breath.
I ran over to the swing right next to him, jumping on it...slight excitement fueling through my bones as I began to swing.
I swung back and forth, and he was still so ahead of me on the swings...so I swung faster, and we were catching pace, the same height.
We were flying...
I looked at him...his blonde hair flying in his face, pushing it away as he noticed me staring. He chuckled and looked away.
I swear I had seen a slight blush appear on his peach colored cheeks..
The rest of the day was playing tag with the girls, me, Tundra, and Nico.
Yet he had to go home but we still all had fun while it lasted.
Well, I did anyway.
I had barely had fun over the past year that I started living here.
Nothing much to do. Bored, exhausted all the time, now I had reasons to be outside again.
It was joyous. I had never realized so much that you could do outside, well, until now.
Around 5pm the girls were all sweaty and they wanted to have a water fight so Tundra and I ran to his house and got water balloons.
Acting like kids again I felt younger and more free.
While running there he told me how he had started this place from scratch and how it's actually a good community, how its expanded and changed over the years.
No fights occurred on basis, no killings, just nice people who looked for homes and found them here in Tundra's Community...
On the way back we both had two medium sized blue pails filled to the brim of them...Tundra's idea of course.
He said 'the more the better.' as I rolled my eyes, he smiled at the ground another secret blush appearing.
I smirked.
We got to the park and Lonna and Lannie were sitting down and waiting for us on the bench. I heard snickers as we walked closer..
After we set the pails up we all hid carrying some water balloons. We had all ran in different directions. Lonna was done, she didn't want the water fight, Lannie did.
I was hiding behind a big tree near the swings with a balloon in my hand, I couldn't sense anything, all I could feel was excitement pulsing through my veins, all my instincts were foggy.
I turned behind me and felt a breath on my neck... I shuddered as I heard someone say.
"Boo." I turned around and looked at Tundra as he smirked at me, his eyes gazing mine as he squeezed it on my head.
After getting the access balloon off my head Tundra told me to 'hold still', I hesitated again then took a deep breath and said a small, "Okay...". He smiled at me sincerity in his eyes as I turned around.
I felt his hands pushing my hair around and pulling something out of one of my strands.
He put his hands out of my hair and touched both of my shoulders, my eyes surprised as he turned me around.
I kept staring deep into his crystal blue eyes as he put his hand out and showed me a big wad of balloon.
I chuckled as I looked at the ground then noticed he was staring at me.
We were frozen in time. Looking into eachothers eyes, it was breathtaking. He and I were both leaning closer until Lonna came around and splashed Tundra with a bucket of water, soaking both of us because we were so...
Close...

Lannie
I walked behind my sister and oddly enough tripping over a twig and toppling over her and she laughed and we both got soaked with the water balloon I was holding.
Tundra had dodged the shot and ran behind a nearby tree.
The way Tundra looks at her...
I sensed a happy vibe coming from Tundra, and felt Cassidy finally letting go of some of her embarrassment and anger towards her past...
I didn't know how but I just sensed it, I wasn't anything, was I?
Her demon shadow was watching her every move, waiting to just piss her off within a second. How could I see that?
I kept hoping it wouldn't ruin Tundra's moment, but then I realized Lonna ruined the kiss with a splash.
I was behind a bush thinking of a plan to get my sister back when it happened, she ran up to me.
I rolled my eyes as my sister gave me a curious, 'What are you thinking about...' look and I bit my lip.
My eyes gazed across something..it was something shiny under a fallen tree branch...it was something sparkly, with a small bright diamond or glitter maybe?
I walked closer to the tree and picked it up.
It ended up being a small golden colored chain that was broken in half, and the middle piece, that held a bright diamond was missing.
That's when I realized this was Cassidy's.
Cassidy hid her pain but wore that bracelet with pride since it was the only thing that her mother had given her...
Her mother had always been there for her until she abandoned her.
I knew I had to fix it, get her a new chain and everything..
More than half the jewels braided into the chain were broken and some even missing, half the chain was also a rustic brown because of the rain.
My mother made jewelry I was told and I had some of her old memoirs, she wrote us letters even before she passed. I wish I had known when she did though.
I had also known about an abandoned jewelry shop about 20 minutes down the far road out of the community. Cassidy, my sister Lonna, and I all passed it when we walked here on foot. We were infants at the time but I remember a jewelry store with an old necklace hanging from the window, that's when everything was abandoned.
I wish I had known my mother, I've always thought what she looked like since I had never seen her.
A tear runs down my face as I hold myself together for Lonna and Cassidy as I gather the chain studying it.
I smiled and bit my lips, and I think Lonna was catching on because she sighed as I ran up to Tundra...
He was walking out of the bathroom building across from the playground, and Cassidy was sitting on a bench near the water fountain about 20 feet from us.
"Hey!" I said as I pulled his arm, he ended up pulling back though.
"What?" he asked staring at my clenched hand that was to my side.
"I can restore this for you, if you like Cassidy! You can give it to her as a, 'be my
girlfriend..' type thing!" I said excitedly...he chuckled and bit his lip.
"Lannie, you can't fall in love with someone you just met, it's not possible." he said looking away with a look of sadness, his eyes glistening...that's when I noticed he also had a look of embarrassment, he felt bad for me.
"I was already gonna redo the whole bracelet anyway..." I insisted, as he took a deep breath turning around and looked at my hand as I opened it.
"Just write, 'Welcome to the neighborhood, or something on the back, okay?" he said in a dramatic way with a sigh walking off into the distance...

Firestar
Everything is so confusing, is it normal to patronize someone I just met? Is it normal to think of him in an off manner? He pinned me against the wall for gods sake and I'm letting him walk free!
Did I...like it?
Is this normal?
It's like I couldn't be mean to him, yet when I did he never got angry.
What does that even mean?
I ignored it and went to take a walk, the best paths were near the beach so I decided to take a small walk down the oceanside.
I followed the path and saw a big bonfire with men hovering around it.
One I never thought I would see again...I sensed his drunken, sloppy, happiness vibe he had always carried around with him..
It was my ex husband..
Chad.
He was here. Why was he here? Maybe vengeance?
I ignored the feeling and walked straight passed them with my head held high and I heard a flirty whistle...
"Hey sexy. Who are you?" one man answered but it wasn't Chad.
"Well, in my opinion I kinda recognize her...don't you guys remember my wife Firestar?" they all looked at me..
I turned around and a shock hit all they're faces, all accept one...
Chads.
"Well hello gorgeous...miss me?" he said as I looked at him my heart died and I literally almost threw up. He had a giant scrape scar on his eye from the white china vase..all I knew now was that..
He's alive..

Hoped you like it! Next one in a few days! :)
