"FRANK!" The sound of his fathers voice making him want to run. They final steps towards war are coming. They need to get ready and his father is making it harder. The clicking of the old mans cane echoes in the empty halls. "There you are."
"What do you need father. I'm busy trying to get our army ready for this war." He turns in his chair looking at his father. Wrinkles cover his face, his chin looks like he has joules of a dog. The black color eyes though, they haven't changed. The fire light within them isn't going to go out.
"The Goldridge bastards don't want to attack the Seaver. You best make the time to figure this out. We attack in two days. I also made a request for your bothers help."
"And?" Frank snaps a pen in his hand. They are getting ready to take over the kingdom and all his father is still trying to figure out how to save his brother. These thoughts haunt Frank. His father has always loved his twin brother, Carl, more.
"He told me no. Spoiled brat. After everything I did for that boy and he rushes off and joins the kings guard. If you meet him in battle, you best knock him out and bring him back." The old man points his bent finger at him.
"I will, I will." Frank hold his hands up turning away from his father. "I have more work to do now. This war isn't going to run itself." Without a word, only the clack of his father cane as he hobbles away.

"Well, Young Master. I believe I have found some news ye be looking for." The ragged man spoke as he placed his glass down. The dark drink making his nose hairs tingle.
"What news is this?"
"My sources say, the Southwick kingdom is about to break out in a civil war. A few Lords are planning on taking over. They are look for some help from the outside world." The man makes an uneasy smile. He's found out this young master doesn't like to be disappointed.
"This is great news. Guess we will be sparing Ogden Kingdom for now. When are the other two going to be here. I would like to leave today." The man looks around, he had hoped this two would have been here by now. They have had enough time to get here by now.
"They sent word they would be here by now. They were tasked to stop by a elven village in the mountains on there way here. Guess one of the crews they work with were wiped out. Hehe." He tries to laugh a little. Hoping this young master won't become angry.
"How long will it take us to reach Southwick?"
"Well, the folks asking for the help are in the south part of the kingdom,"
"I asked how long!" The glass in his hands shatters.
"Two days or three days at most. Depends on…"
"That's enough. James find us a way to travel. We leave tonight."
"Yes Sir." James turns walking right out of the tavern.

"Sir, reports have come in. Seems the Havricks, Goldridge and Cranes are massing their soldiers." A young soldier reports.
"Which city's?" Sitting a throne, a golden crown hangs off the back of his head. Its already been a long day. His father has become sick and the Far Kingdom sent him a letter.
"Goldridge have split their forces, half is Hornmont and half in Brisk. Havricks are at Starlew and at Havrick manor. Cranes are mostly moving into Havricks land."
"Hmm. It seems they are setting up for attack. The question is will we be ready for the attack. Also, has anyone heard from Alred?"
"My Lord, he has not reported back in. The Wooden family is loyal to the crown. I have to believe that Havricks have either captured him or he is dead. I already sent someone to look for him. I also reached out to his godfather."
"Alistar, have you read the reports?" The king twist in his chair, looking at a tall thin figure spoke up. His long white hair tied into a bun while his face clean shaven. His ice blue eyes looking into a void.
"I have, seems your Kingdom is about start a civil war. Seeing how the Havricks are acting, I would wager they are the leaders."
"Seems Lord Havrick thinks we are just going to roll over and not see this coming. Send a squad of men to both Lord Seaver and Lord Maz, tell them to prepare to attack. We are not going to let them off easy."
"Yes my Lord, right away." A group of soldiers rushed out of the throne room. Each heading in a different direction.
"My Lord. Master Wooden is still missing. Master Lake is look for Mage Alred Wooden." Alistar reads from a report scroll. "It also seems Mage Zane has been missing as well. He did marry one of Lord Havricks daughters. Its safe to say we will be fighting him in this war."
"Get ahold of Master Lake. I know he will not fight in this war but I need him to make sure no attacks us from the west. Dragon or not, nothing is to reach the capital."
"Yes, my Lord. What would you like done with Mage Alred if he is found alive?"
"Get his report, give him rest if needed. Knowing the Wooden family if he got attacked he will fight. Once he's healed, we will need him on the front lines."
"At once my Lord" Alistar turns way, vanishes before everyone, just a cloud of smoke left.
"Everyone else get out, I have a lot to do." The king barks out loud. All the servants and soldiers rush out of the room. Nester Southwick placed his face in his hands, shame running through his mind. He's failed his father. Their land has been at peace for many years, the Far Kingdom has backed off. A simple thought rushes up front. The Far Kingdom is supporting Havricks?
