I heard the sound of the bell as the hot sunlight hit my face. It means it's already seven in the morning. I put my blanket to cover myself and sleep for few minutes, but Verus knocked on my door.
"Lucy, wake up now. It's time for breakfast." I heard him, but I didn't move. I don't want to wake up yet.
I heard him closed the door, but the ground suddenly shake.
"If you'll not gonna wake up, I'll break the ground and we'll see you at the ground below these floors. You want that?" He asked me.
I panicked so I quickly jumped out of my bed. "You're so mean, you know that?" I rolled my eyes.
"Because you're always waking up late!" He barely shouted.
"I don't like mornings, what's wrong with that?" I whispered to myself.
"You saying something?" Verus asked raising one of his eyebrow.
"Nothing! Let's eat!" I shouted at him and stormed out of the room.
I'm here at Orbisomn for almost a week already, and morning is the worst! Their day always start at four or five in the morning. Their clock is different, but atleast they also have twenty four hours in a day so I guess it's just the same. I can't sleep easily at night that's why it's hard for me to wake up early, but here I am doing my best to cope up with their noisiness in the morning.
"We'll depart tomorrow, right?" I excitedly asked Verus who's been walking quietly beside me.
"Yes." He plainly replied.
Finally! I can see other things beside this palace in the peak of a cliff. Maids served us a lot of food, but most of them are meat.
"Meat again? In the morning?" I asked. They always give me a lot of fried meat on breakfast, lunch or dinner.
"Why? You don't like meat?" Verus asked me back.
I tried picking the meat with a fork. It's drenched with a lot of oil.
"Gross! This is too unhealthy to eat." I said.
"Tell the maids what you want. They will give it to you right away." He said and eat the pork with no hesitation. I tried my best to hide my disgusting look.
"Do we have any loaf bread?" I asked.
"Yes." The maid answered.
"Give me some loaf bread, lettuce, tomato berries, and boiled chicken please." I said everything that I need.
"You don't like this, but you ordered chicken meat?" Verus asked while he hold his fork with the greasy pork.
"Boiled chicken is not as unhealthy as that pork drenched with oil. One more thing, I prefer light food on breakfast." I said.
"Your eating habit is different from the princess'." He commented.
"I can't help myself. I am an actress who keep my body shape." I replied to him.
He sighed and looked at me, "Well, I guess it's alright. Since both of you have different lifestyle and behavior, we won't have much difficulty with your transformation and our journey." Verus started eating again.
He's now answering me compare to my first time here. I remember, he always gave me a sharp look whenever I am trying to interrupt him while eating. He did say that Illia do not want to be disturbed while she's eating, and they all adapted her habit. Even some of her habit and behavior are being passed down to the people.
"Wait, we? Are we going to be with others here?" I asked.
"We can't travel if it is just the two of us, so yes. We'll have three more people in our group." He replied.
"Who are those, then?" I squinted my eyes.
"I'll introduce them to you once we finished eating. They will also teach you few things. Something might happen along the way, so we need to give you a weapon to fight for yourself. You do not have magic powers, after all." He explained.
My eyes shaped like a heart because of what I heard. This is the first time that I got excited since coming here. This means I will train for the whole day!
I created two chicken sandwich and finished them quickly so I can meet those people that we'll bring with us.
---
"What does it looked like outside here? You said that there are lands floating in the sky, right?" I asked Verus while he's trying to wear his armor plate.
"Yes. The land of the Erinyes." He replied.
"Erinyes? What is that?" I asked.
"The agmenagias who can use nevrea magic. Those agmenagias lived in the land above the sky." Someone butted in.
Verus and I looked at the newcomer.
"Oh, you're already here." Verus quickly put his metal gloves, "Lucy, this is Loui. He's a Nevrean."
"So you live in one of the lands above the sky?" I asked.
"Yes, I do." He smiled at me. He have a light bluish hair unlike Verus who have a dark brown hair.
"Your hair looks amazing. Is that natural?" I asked.
He put his hands on his hair, "Natural?" He asked.
"Oh, I forgot you do not know what's natural. Here, when you were born, is your hair already bluish?" I asked.
"Yes it is." He laughed a bit.
"Did you brought the weapon that I asked you?" Verus asked Loui.
"I didn't have it. Dafydd said he'll handle it." We heard footsteps near us, "Speaking of the devil." Loui said.
"VERUS!" A girl with long yellow hair and big breast jumped on Verus and hugged him tightly.
"G-get out! You're breast is suffocating me!" Verus shouted.
The girl laughed when Verus pushed her away, "You're still the same, brother Verus." She said.
"Dafydd, long time no see." Loui greeted the man who came with the girl. His hair's color is maroon, and his clothes are shouting red.
"Long time no see is a bit exaggerated!" the man replied to Loui. I think his name is Dafydd.
"By the way, this is Neriah." Verus pointed at the girl with long yellow hair, "And the other one's named Dafydd." He added.
"Nice to meet you all." I tried my best to smile.
"You're the one who's with Verus when I saw him in the woods, right?" I looked at Dafydd. I can't be mistaken.
"Woods?" Dafydd asked.
"That was when Illia disappeared. Yes, that's him." Verus nodded and looked at me, "He's an Algorian, that's why I went with him. I need a light, after all." he said.
"Algorian?" I asked.
"Algorian, agmenagias who can use algor magic." Daffyd suddenly spit fire on Neriah's face. I panicked for a moment, but Neriah splashed water on his face. I guess she's a water magic user.
"So algor is fire, huh?" I whispered to myself.
"What's fire?" Loui askedme.
I squinted my eyes. "You heard me?" I asked.
"Be careful with whispering, Lucy. Loui's a pervert." Neriah laughed while telling it to me.
"What? No! I'm not." Loui defended himself, "I just— it's just can hear whispers in the air, but it's not like I can hear or read your thoughts." He said.
"I see. I'm with a bunch of weirdos." I said.
"That's harsh." Loui commented.
Verus laughed a bit. "By the way, where's the weapon that I asked you to bring?" he said.
"Oh, yes, yes, right!" Neriah excitedly put her hands together and get something out of her pocket, "This is the weapon that you asked for, brother Verus." She gave a small object to Verus.
Verus investigated every details on the object. "Very well made." He said and gave it to me.
I raised my eyebrows, "What am I going to do with this little object?" I asked.
"That will be your weapon." Verus replied.
"Huh?!" I exclaimed. Weapon? It's just a little circular object, "How is this going to be my weapon?" I asked.
"Here." Neriah went beside me and hold the circular object that was in my hand.
"Sinia hi audia mudumeam. Merola mati ali turnesim, silpe ase nue meira." she said some magic casting and the little ball emits a dazzling light.
"That is called magic device." Loui said.
"What am I going to do with this?" I asked.
"Before I explain, imagine first what you want it to be. Something that you can equip, like some kind of accessory." Neriah said.
I looked at the ball and imagine it to be a black plain bracelet. The ball's light suddenly faded and it became a bracelet.
"This is exactly the bracelet that I imagined!" I shouted because of amusement.
"Now, try wearing it." Neriah instructed.
I wore it, but as soon as I wore it, the bracelet stick to my wrist. "I can't take it off!" I said.
"It's alright. You can take it off after a few minutes." Neriah said.
I sighed, "So, what am I going to do with this?" I asked her.
"This is a magic device. You can use magic through your imagination with this even if you do not have innate magic." She explained.
"That's cool, then." I replied and looked at the bracelet on my hand, "What magic I can use with this thing?" I asked.
"Unfortunately you cannot mimic elemental magic with that device, but you can materialize anything as long as you can imagine it." Neriah explained.
"How?" I asked again.
"For example, imagine that you're holding a spoon in your right hand." Neriah instructed.
I imagined it right away. A bright light came out of my hand, and a spoon suddenly pop out of nowhere. "This is totally astounding!" I exclaimed.
"Isn't it? That costs us around a million harpa just to pay a good magic device creator to create that!" Daffyd shouted.
"Oh, so this is a crafted device." I said.
"Yes it is." Verus replied.
My heart sings a happy song, "Now. Who wants to train with me?" I asked. They all agreed to train for today.
