Rushing to Dan's side, I performed a full body assessment.
His main systems had failed all together.
My abilities may not be enough to heal him.
Bessie the pig laid by his side as I tried to determine the best way forward to save Dan's life.
Racking my brain, the Ring of Conquest began to glow bright orange.
Orange was a healing color for Quiblys.
Taking a long shot, I pushed my hand against his forehead, making sure the Ring of Conquest touched as much of him as possible.
Dan's body flinched and lurched.
It wasn't enough.
The Ring began to burn my Quibly hand, something that didn't happen to my kind.
I had an idea.
Carefully removing the Ring from my finger, I grabbed Dan's hand.
This was the longest of long shots and could possibly make things worse but it had to be attempted.
I slid the Ring onto Dan's hand in an attempt to use its power to heal him.
As the Ring rolled onto his human finger, the glow grew in intensity.
Dan's body levitated from the ground and slowly spun clockwise circles in the air.
After Bessie the pig ran off in fear, Dan opened his eyes.
All his wounds instantly healed before my eyes.
Once all his wounds had vanished, the Ring lost its glow, fell from his hand and Dan was back.
Dan was fixed, the Ring was back on my hand, and Benkur was captured.
What else could go wrong?
