Azur's POV
Standing near her rider was a bit much for her as she could feel the excitement coming off her in waves. Like her Aurora was also a royal and both are looking for answers to the disappearance of their mothers.
Hearing her voice snapped her of her thoughts.
"So now that you are very large does that mean I can ride you?"
She asked me with pleading eyes that even the most cold-hearted person in the world couldn't.
"Err, I guess" I speak in a low baritone voice in her head.
She helped herself unto my back and used her fingers to stroke my feather which should I say was a pleasant and soothing touch for me. And with one huge beat of my wings we were up in the sky.
Aurora POV
Once in the Sky, a complete feeling of freedom came rushing to me. The feeling of the wind against her face, the feeling of dragon scales against her skin, even the feeling and no blood circulation in her legs were missed her. Everything was so familiar and yet it did not feel just quite complete.
They Flew at very high altitude, and Azur tried to do some aerial flips, but somehow managed to mess them up.
They flew for hours, ignoring the others in party in the castle.
The clouds bunched up together more, creating darker storm clouds.
"Maybe we should head back" Aurora said to her dragon and with a firm nod of her head their descent to the ground began and in no time they were on the ground.
After their ride they merged back to avoid further confusion from the others.
She entered the banquet hall to join the others for the party and after few hours the party came to a stop.
While I was getting ready to go back to the academy, a servant told me to wait behind to see the Grand Duchess.
Finally,! I get to talk to my aunt.
I entered the throne room to meet with my aunt and saw the other royal families there with her in some sort of after party.
They were discussing urgent matters when I entered but I paid no mind to whatever they were saying.
Excusing herself for the gathering she took me to another room probably her chamber I think.
"Aurora" she says as she gives me a bone crushing hug.
"Aunt, I missed you" I speak as I return the hug.
"So how has the academy been for you?" she asks with a worry laced tone.
"Well, it's great aside from the fact that I have no friends everything is quite alright" I state with an excited face.
"Ok, but what about your powers?" she asks.
"What about them?" I replied her.
"Well your sisters told me that you can only control your Ice and Fire Elements for now." She said in a calm manner.
"Yes, but considering it's the week of birthday the rest of 'em should surface" I said.
"Okay but when is your birthday exactly?"
"Tomorrow"
"Okay, how about me and you train tomorrow and see if they surface so I can teach you how to control them." She asks waiting to get my opinion on the offer.
"Okay"
"Well since you will be training with me tomorrow you will be staying at the castle for the rest of the week." She told in a tone I haven't heard since we were on earth.
"Okay"
After our short meeting I was escorted to my room in the east wing of the castle. While being escorted I bumped into someone I haven't seen for weeks now.
The person was on the verge of swearing in some language until he saw my face and stopped.
"Aurora?" he asked.
"Jacob" I said with a peaceful voice.
"What are you doing here? do you want your secret to be out?" he said in a serious tone with a pint of worry.
"Well Aunt Taylor told me to stay in the castle for the week because of my training with her." I state to him like a soldier reporting to it commander.
The servant named Roxanne lead me up the stairs, past numerous doors until we came to a white door.
"This is your room" Roxanne points out, opening the door for me. I smile in his direction before walking into the room, it would have to be the biggest room I've ever stepped into.
It was like I just like stepped into what a five-star bedroom of an expensive hotel on earth would look like. A large queen sized bed, fireplace, sofas and a big open balcony.
A very big modern/rustic bathroom was in the door to the right of the wardrobe.
"This is my room?" I asked stunned. "Yes", she informed curtly.
"Grand Duchess ordered to prepare the biggest room in the east wing for a special since last week" Roxanne announces.
Wow!
Looks like my aunt really anticipated this all along.
I guess tomorrow is going to be a long day.
Today I hoped to have a peaceful morning and get use to the castle surroundings, that I will come back to live once I'm ready to take reins of the kingdom.
But the world seems to have different idea in store for me. I was woken up at six in the morning by Roxanne for training.
I got dressed in what could fit me for training in the closet and rushed down to the yard.
I got to the yard and to my surprise my siblings and a few unknown faces were present there as well.
Seems like this won't be like any training have had before.
"Are you ready for training?" she asked, her voice sounded a little too serious and sent bad shiver down my body.
"Yes I am, I won't be any good but I might as well give it a go" I said with a smile that made her look a bit relaxed.
We started with combat lessons and I could say I fared better than even the instructor that was told to teach me.
Then the real training began.
"Don't look so worried, we will start with the basics, this is just to see if the powers have surfaced." She said in a reassuring tone.
"Okay" I said.
After two hours of non-stop training none of the elements I have haven't resurfaced so we took a quick break as we haven't had breakfast.
"Azur why are my powers not showing?"
"I don't know but you need to give it time and like your aunt said feel the energy stored in you"
We headed out to the yard to continue the training. I was lost in the conversation I was having with Azur in my head that I didn't realize a huge icicle was headed straight for me till it was too late.
