Chapter 17 - Rage

Chapter Seventeen (17)

Immediately, Carl dashed forward and curled his fingers into a fist. His hand ignited and he prepared to deliver a flaming blow to Evelyn's abdomen.

Evelynn reacted quickly and raised her hand into the air causing tree to burst out of the ground and absorb the blow. Carl jumped back, his face reflecting the pain from hitting the tree and damaging his wrist.

Evelynn sped behind him and flicking both her wrists she made a barrage of vines shoot out at Carl. He was caught by the thick natural ropes and found himself unable to escape. Desperately, he began to burn the flora around him and seeing this, Evelyn east.

She stepped back and made a barrage of foliage around herself. When she next emerged, she was brandishing a closed fist cloaked in flames.

'What!'

'Dual user'

'Cool'

Dashing forward, she slammed her fists into carl chest where his badge lay and burned the badge to smithereens. Carl fell down to the ground defeated as the referee gleefully shouted, "Match set! The winner is Evelynn!".

Time just seemed to fly by and the second match was quickly finished.

"Now for our third match we have something interesting! Ladies and gentlemen please welcome our contestants! One side we have Jake Tyrimm and on the other we have one of the crown princess of the Kingdom Elizabeth August!" the referee announced. They were both cheered on but yet you could tell that all eyes were Jake.

Everyone wondered about the guy dressed in all black covering everywhere except his eyes and hair coming to fight the crown princess but with everyone glares and anxious faces he never backed down.

But the weird thing was I felt the same pull I had previously with my siblings I had it towards this guy but I shrugged it off.

They both glared at each other with Killer intent.

"Begin!"

Elizabeth POV

Jake wasted no time in running up to me and throwing a barrage of punches my way. I easily dodged and blocked his moves having trained myself since the disappearance of our mother and sister. I was very fluent in hand to hand combat, boxing and judo on top having immense strength from my daily exercise and training.

Jake realizing my skill in hand to hand combat, retreated back to a corner and then disappeared. 'A shadow user; it's has been long since I had of one'.

Gasps and murmur could be heard throughout the arena as Jake used his Shadow element.

Out of a blink a wind blade shot out from a corner of the arena towards me. I infused my sword with my lightning element and met with his attack head on.

Releasing his shadow cloak, I saw him concentrating and unleash yet another wind blade. I easily block the attack but didn't see his next attack coming. He concentrated the wind behind his forearms and calves, using the wind to pull and push his limbs in order to increase the speed of his movements.

He dashed at me at an unbelievable pace, ready to strike. I smiled and out stretched my arms towards him. He slowed down, worry crossing his face as he saw me.

I focused and concentrated on using my second element 'Time'. Seeing no reaction from my outstretched arms he dashed towards me at with double his initial speed. In the nick of time I managed to slow time down leaving him in a weird stance frozen in time.

The crowd cheered and instantly their cheers quieted down and I knew something was wrong.

I looked at where I froze Jake and didn't see him there. I looked at the arena confused. No one could leave my time trap unless they were stronger than me. A sharp uppercut to the Jaw brought me back to reality and sent me reeling.

"Hah! Your time trap was pathetic!" Jake boomed as he successfully struck me with a number of punches in succession. Still stunned by the failure of my time trap, I was unable to defend myself. I only had enough time to cup my hands around the badge on my chest.

His wind had not only added speed to his strikes but it added another benefit as well…

The wind, almost like an invisible blade, cut my skin and flesh with each blow and drew blood. A final kick to the abdomen left me coughing in a kneeling position on the ground.

"Um, I'm sorry I have to do this maybe forgive when we see each other again?" he asked before striking the final blow.

"Hah hah hah. Don't count your chickens before they hatch because I am not near finished just yet. In fact, I haven't even begun!" I laughed.

Quickly I grabbed his leg and jerked it forward, causing him to drop down on his back. I shot up from the ground and stomped down on his stomach. He sputtered blood as he struggled to push my leg off his body and rolled to his feet holding his midsection.

He then pulled out what could be considered his wild card and used his wildcard. He grabbed his sword and infused with fire and rushed to attack me once more.

I grabbed my sword and infused my element with it likewise and met him head on. We attacked each other together. The clanging sound of our sword sent vibrations to both our bodies but neither of us stood down.

Afterwards our battle soon seemed like a blur to the audience but only few could understand what was going on.

In the middle of the arena blur of yellow and red could been seen but the audience didn't understand what was going on.

After a few minutes both contestants could finally be seen after the intense battle of elements. They both had cut and bruises all over but the area where their respective badges lay remained unscathed.

This amazing performance was exciting to the crowd as they cheered for both contestants.

After Our short battle with swords I thought the match would be over but it seems this boy is stronger than I thought,

After a while we both went at it again.

Frustrated about the match I was getting angry about this boy's consistency. I was getting angry and Aestelle was getting angry also.

Tapping into her rage, I decided to go all out and teach this boy a lesson. I covered myself in lightning and rushed to attack. Seeing what was going on, Jake rushed back in fear but I couldn't care less.

I grabbed him by the throat and spun him around and hoisted his body into the air before finishing him off by dropping his spine onto my knee. He fell down squirming and howling in pain.

As he stood up to regain balance I zipped forward and jabbed two electrically charged hands into his chest. He flew back through the air and slammed into the concrete walls of the coliseum.

I rushed at him with punches to his body cutting him like sword. After feeling quite content, I dragged him back to center of the arena and pulled off his mask.

As I pulled off his mask, I saw a face that looks just like our aunt but manlier. And judging by his age and physique he should be of Jacob's age. But I could care less, deciding to finish what I started I performed a mid-helicopter kick aimed at Jake's head.

"STOP!!!"
