The unknown person was thrown across the forest by a huge ball of fire. Aurora was scared to death thinking she might have injured an innocent person or worse killed the person. All her thoughts were quenched when the person rose up from the pile of rumble he/she was buried in.
The person walked away from the mess and came towards Aurora who was quaking in her boots and still hasn't gotten over the fact the person is well alive. When the person came towards her the moon gave her a clear view of the person's face. He was a young person probably of her age or maybe a year or two older than her. He was handsome no scratch that I bet with this work of art in front of her he could take on Adonis for most handsome god.
He had brownish gold locks, Light blue eyes, straight chin and rough and tasty lips. 'Wait what'.
Although with ashes and scorched mark on his body you could see the sharp features of his body like his juicy abs, his waistline, and hard muscled hands. 'I really don't know where all this thought is coming from' I tried talking to Azur but she shut me out. 'Weird that's the first'.
"Um so do you want to tell me why you blasted me with your element or you really just hate people" the boy said with a smug face. You could really tell he was cocky alright. Still lost in thoughts until a sound of finger snapping brought me back to reality.
"You were saying?" I asked him with a sheepish smile.
"Well I was asking you why you shot me with fire?" he said.
"Well, that I'm sorry for I was just practicing my elements and you gave quite a scare and I just panicked." I started rambling nonsense after giving him my answer till I burst in tears.
"Hey, hey it's okay I'm not taking this as an offense or anything." He said while pulling me closer to him to comfort me. Instead of running or panicking I felt rather calm with him and judging from my experience with boys on earth I've never felt anything like this before.
"So, now that you've calmed down a bit, shall we start again?" he said releasing me from his embrace not wanting me to be uncomfortable.
"My name is Daniel and yours is?" he asked me with a huge smile on his face.
"Aurora" I answered quickly but disappointed he release me for his warm embrace.
'Wait this thought aren't mine'
"So like I said earlier what brings you to this part of the woods?" he asked for the second time.
"And like I told I came to practice my powers" I retorted almost immediately.
"Okay, fine but from look of things one could easily assume that you are terrible at controlling it mind if I help?" he asked.
"Um, I really don't know how you can be of help" I said taking a good look at him.
"But Never mind I need all the help I can get."
"So in controlling elements especially the basic ones like fire, you have to be one with the element itself" he said.
"And how would on do that?" I asked in a 'duh' tone.
"Well you could try meditating" he said.
"What do you think I was doing before you came and ruined it all for me" I said in a frustrated tone.
"But if you say so I will try again." I said and started meditating for the second of the night. While meditating he started guiding me towards becoming one with the elements.
With my eyes closed my other senses kicked in. My nose became sharper and for the first a heavenly scent invaded my nose leaving my nostrils tingling. The scent was a mixture of Citrus, Mint and thick forest trees.
The scent was a bit faint but very close to me.
"Hold out your palms and concentrate on it" I held out my palms doing so as he continued speaking. "Try to feel heat on your palms. With the heat on your palms now imagine the fire rising om your palms" following his steps accordingly I opened to see the flames on my palms, although they were small but it was progress.
We were about to continue when a sharp ringing howl pierced the night air. Like a signal been rung to him the mysterious boy stood up to leave.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"Well, I'm meant to be on patrol duty tonight but I ended bumping to you." He said while scratching his head,
"What do you mean patrol? Aren't you from the academy?" I asked him.
"Um, well you see the academy is the middle of two kingdoms and I belong to the other" he said trying to be discrete. Suddenly a loud bang was heard from the forest and we both looked around to check for the source and when I looked back he was gone.
I walked back to the dorm to catch some sleep a bit happy but sad that Daniel left.
I woke up just before sunrise, the birds still chirping after a fresh blanket of snow had fallen over the short hours of sleep she had. 'That's a bit weird it has been just a few weeks since she came to this world and she could have sworn it was still summertime'.
Aurora smiled and quickly got dressed into here school uniform and clipped on her necklace along her neck, the cool metal touching her skin sending shivers down her spine.
She went to library to research a bit about her powers and the kingdom maps remembering what the mysterious boy from last night because classes won't start till later due to the snow.
Browsing through the catalogs of books about kingdom history, maps and borderline she found her answer. Turns out there are seven kingdoms according to their race in this realm namely;
Ravaryn- Vampire
Allynthi- Angels
Asterin- Dragon riders
Oryn- Werewolves
Alfhiem- Demons
Jotunheim- Fairies
Pendilor- Faes and Elves
And each kingdom has their own academies. 'Well that explains why I haven't seen any other supernatural creatures around.
Ravaryn was in the north were the major temperature is cold which suits them because of their weakness to the sun.
Alfhiem was in the south, Allynthi to the west and Pendilor to the east. Leaving Asterin, Oryn and Jotunheim in the central region. And the two country which shares a border together is Asterin and Oryn which means mysterious boy from last night was a werewolf.
